MCP tools · 4 exposed · ~1,207 tokens

The tools this component advertises to a client, with an estimated token cost for each. Expand a tool to see its parameters and schema. The per-tool counts are indicative and are not scored directly; the schema's total context footprint is one signal in Schema Quality & AI Usability. A tool's description is untrusted text the model reads on every call, which is what makes this list a security surface and not just an inventory: how tool poisoning works →

Tool Tokens
ebid_categories ~203

Browse the eBid.net marketplace category tree (eBid Trading API GetCategoryList): category IDs, names, full paths and per-category item counts for an eBid country site. Pass a parent category_id to list its subcategories, or omit it for the root categories. Use the returned CategoryID to filter ebid_search.

NameTypeReqDescription
_apiKeystring–Optional — eBid API credentials as "AppId:AppKey" (both issued together, free, at the eBid developer portal ebid.3scale.net). The gateway supplies a platform key, so omit this and calls still work; p…
category_idnumber–Parent CategoryID to list children of. Omit for root categories.
sitestring–eBid country site to query (2-letter code, e.g. "us", "uk", "de"). Defaults to "us". Prices come back in that site's currency.

No output schema declared.

No examples provided.

ebid_listing ~285

Fetch one eBid.net listing by its numeric ListingID (eBid Trading API GetListingSingle): title, description, seller, current price, bid count, quantity, condition, start/end times, and shipping cost calculated to a destination country. Works for live and ended listings on any eBid country site. Get ListingIDs from ebid_search. Bids are served through a 5-minute result cache, so the current bid can be up to five minutes old: near the close of an auction treat it as a lower bound, never as the final price.

NameTypeReqDescription
_apiKeystring–Optional — eBid API credentials as "AppId:AppKey" (both issued together, free, at the eBid developer portal ebid.3scale.net). The gateway supplies a platform key, so omit this and calls still work; p…
listing_idnumberyesNumeric eBid ListingID (from ebid_search results or an ebid.net listing URL).
ship_tostring–ISO country code to calculate shipping to (e.g. "us", "uk"). Defaults to the site's country.
sitestring–eBid country site to query (2-letter code, e.g. "us", "uk", "de"). Defaults to "us". Prices come back in that site's currency.

ebid_listing_bids ~223

Bid history for one eBid.net listing (eBid Trading API GetListingBids): each bid's amount, quantity, bidder username, timestamp, and whether it was a buy-now or proxy bid. On an ended auction the winning (highest) bid is the realized price. Get ListingIDs from ebid_search. Bid history is served through a 5-minute result cache, so the latest bids on a live auction can be up to five minutes behind.

ebid_search ~496

Search listings on the eBid.net online marketplace and auction site (eBid Trading API SearchEbid). Filter by keyword, category, price range, item condition (NEW/USED/UNUSED/REFURBISHED), buy-now only, seller username, or country of origin, on any of eBid's 20+ country sites. Set closed=true to search ended listings instead of live ones — ended listings with bids are where realized sale prices live. Returns total match count and listings with ListingID, title, bid count, currency and buy-now price. eBid is a small marketplace; treat results as a secondary listings and price source.

NameTypeReqDescription
_apiKeystring–Optional — eBid API credentials as "AppId:AppKey" (both issued together, free, at the eBid developer portal ebid.3scale.net). The gateway supplies a platform key, so omit this and calls still work; p…
buy_now_onlyboolean–true = only listings with a buy-now option.
category_idnumber–Restrict to an eBid category (numeric CategoryID from ebid_categories).

conditionstring–Item condition filter.
countrystring–Only items located in this country (2-letter code, e.g. "us").

max_pricenumber–Maximum price, in the site's currency.
min_pricenumber–Minimum price, in the site's currency.
rowsnumber–Rows per page, max 75 (eBid API cap). Default 25.
search_descriptionsboolean–true = search item descriptions as well as titles.
sitestring–eBid country site to query (2-letter code, e.g. "us", "uk", "de"). Defaults to "us". Prices come back in that site's currency.
sortstring–Sort order. CLOSED_* sorts apply only when closed=true.
startnumber–Result offset for paging (0-based). Default 0.
usernamestring–Only listings from this eBid seller username.
