The per-tool counts are indicative and are not scored directly; the schema's total context footprint is one signal in Schema Quality & AI Usability. delete_upload Delete an upload ~104
Permanently delete one of your YourImageShare uploads by `id` - irreversible, the file and its links stop working immediately. Get the `id` from upload_image's response right after uploading, or from list_uploads if you no longer have it. Errors (not found, already deleted, wrong owner) come back as a normal tool error.
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| id | string | yes | The upload id to delete (the `id` field returned by upload_image/list_uploads). |
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| deleted | boolean | yes | – |
| id | string | yes | – |
No examples provided.
get_upload Get one upload ~49
Look up one of your uploads by `id`: its links, thumbnail, size, visibility, title and description.
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| id | string | yes | The upload id (from upload_image or list_uploads). |
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| created_at | string | yes | ISO 8601 upload timestamp. |
| description | string|null | – | Description, or null. |
| direct | string | yes | The shareable page URL (title, description, comments, share buttons). Despite the field name, this is NOT a direct file link - use `src` for that. |
| expires_at | string|null | yes | ISO 8601 auto-delete timestamp, or null if the upload never expires. |
| height | number|null | – | Height in pixels, or null if unknown. |
| id | string | yes | Unique identifier for this upload. Pass to delete_upload to remove it. |
| locked | boolean | – | True if the upload is password-protected. |
| path | string | yes | Storage URL of the file as uploaded. It can change shortly afterwards when the file is converted (WebP/MP4) - store `src` instead. |
| size | number|null | – | File size in bytes as stored. |
| src | string | yes | Permanent direct/embeddable file URL - use this for <img>/<video> src attributes and when saving the link. |
| thumb | string|null | – | 280px wide WebP thumbnail (for a video, its first frame), or null. |
| title | string|null | – | Title, or null. |
| type | string | yes | – |
| visibility | string | – | private: file only, no page for others. unlisted: file and page work for anyone with the link. public: listed on the site. |
| width | number|null | – | Width in pixels, or null if unknown. |
No examples provided.
list_uploads List your uploads ~117
List your YourImageShare uploads, newest first, 50 per page - use this to find an upload's `id` (needed by `delete_upload`) when you only have its URL or remember it by content, since there's no lookup-by-URL endpoint. Each result includes the same three link fields `upload_image` returns, plus `title` and `created_at`. An out-of-range page number returns an empty `data` array, not an error.
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| page | integer | – | Page number. Defaults to 1. |
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| data | array | yes | – |
| meta | object | yes | – |
No examples provided.
update_upload Change an upload ~156
Change the visibility, title or description of one of your uploads. Only the fields you pass change; an empty string clears a title or description. Making an upload public lists it on the site.
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| description | string | – | New description (up to 500 characters); empty string clears it. |
| id | string | yes | The upload id (from upload_image or list_uploads). |
| title | string | – | New title (up to 90 characters); empty string clears it. |
| visibility | string | – | unlisted (default): file and page work for anyone with the link, not listed. private: file only - the page link sends everyone but the owner to the file. public: listed on the site and indexable. |
It can change shortly afterwards when the file is converted (WebP/MP4) - store `src` instead. |
| size | number|null | – | File size in bytes as stored. |
| src | string | yes | Permanent direct/embeddable file URL - use this for <img>/<video> src attributes and when saving the link. |
| thumb | string|null | – | 280px wide WebP thumbnail (for a video, its first frame), or null. |
| title | string|null | – | Title, or null. |
| type | string | yes | – |
| visibility | string | – | private: file only, no page for others. unlisted: file and page work for anyone with the link. public: listed on the site. |
| width | number|null | – | Width in pixels, or null if unknown. |

upload_image Upload an image or video ~443
Upload an image or video to YourImageShare and get back a shareable link. Accepts JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, AVIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC/HEIF images and MP4, WEBM, AVI, MOV, M4V, MKV, MPEG, WMV, FLV, 3GP video, up to 200MB (large files are sent in pieces automatically). Provide exactly one of: `path` for a file on disk this server can read, `base64` + `filename` for in-memory content, or `url` for a public link the server downloads itself. Uploading a file your account already uploaded returns that upload with `duplicate: true`. Returns three different URLs for the same upload (see output fields): a raw storage link, a direct embeddable link, and a shareable page link - pick whichever fits where it's going. Errors (oversized/unsupported file, bad API key, rate limit) come back as a normal tool error, not a thrown exception.
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| allowDuplicate | boolean | – | Store a new copy even if this account already uploaded the exact same file. |
| base64 | string | – | Base64-encoded file contents. Requires `filename`. |
| description | string | – | Description (up to 500 characters). |
| expiresIn | integer | – | Auto-delete after this many seconds (60 to 2,592,000 = 30 days). Omit for a permanent upload. |
| filename | string | – | Filename to use. Required with `base64`; inferred from `path` otherwise. |
| path | string | – | Local file path to upload. |
| title | string | – | Title shown on the upload page (up to 90 characters). |
| url | string | – | Public http(s) link to an image or video; the server downloads it (up to 200MB). |
| visibility | string | – | unlisted (default): file and page work for anyone with the link, not listed. private: file only - the page link sends everyone but the owner to the file. public: listed on the site and indexable. |
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| delete_url | string | – | New uploads only: a private link that deletes the upload without an API key. Shown once - give it to the user if they may want it. |
| description | string|null | – | Description, or null. |
| direct | string | yes | The shareable page URL (title, description, comments, share buttons). Despite the field name, this is NOT a direct file link - use `src` for that. |
| duplicate | boolean | – | True if this exact file was already on your account and that upload was returned. |
| expires_at | string|null | yes | ISO 8601 auto-delete timestamp, or null if the upload never expires. |
| height | number|null | – | Height in pixels, or null if unknown. |
| id | string | yes | Unique identifier for this upload. |
