How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. How we score → Why this is hard to score →
Endpoint Security63
- The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key. View diagnostics → Pass
- Authorisation check failed: no authorisation is required to call this server, and it exposes a tool marked destructive (present_pdf). See how to fix → View diagnostics → Fail
- HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path. View diagnostics → Pass
- The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present. View diagnostics → Pass
- DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC. See how to fix → View diagnostics → Fail
Transport & Reachability100
- Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake. View diagnostics → Pass
Schema Quality & AI Usability76
- AI-judged instruction clarity (good).Pass
- Tool/resource definitions use about 301 tokens (~100/item across 3 items; 3 tools + 0 resources), lean.Pass
- Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples. See how to fix → Fail
Stability & Change Management100
- No destabilizing schema changes in the last 30 days.Pass
Tool Coverage100
- 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).Pass
- 100% of tool parameters carry a description.Pass
Tool Safety100
- No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.Pass
- We read all 3 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.Pass
- An AI judge read all 3 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.Pass
Capabilities100
- Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.Pass

The tools this component advertises to a client, with an estimated token cost for each. Expand a tool to see its parameters and schema. The per-tool counts are indicative and are not scored directly; the schema's total context footprint is one signal in Schema Quality & AI Usability. A tool's description is untrusted text the model reads on every call, which is what makes this list a security surface and not just an inventory: how tool poisoning works →
check_pdf Check PDF sidecars ~44
Validate Presio notes/media sidecar attachments in a PDF. Same as POST /api/check.
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| pdf_base64 | string | yes | PDF file contents, base64-encoded |
No output schema declared.
No examples provided.
plugin_guide How to build a Presio plugin ~76
The guide to building a Presio plugin: the workflow (a presio-<name> GitHub repo from the template, the checker, a tag, and a ?plugins= link that loads it), the manifest, and the full window.presio API. Read it before writing a plugin. Same as GET /plugins.md.
Input schema present but exposes no named parameters.
No output schema declared.
No examples provided.
present_pdf Present a PDF ~181
Upload a PDF to start a local Presio presentation. Returns a url — open it in a browser to finish handoff (skips share). To replace an existing presentation's deck instead of creating one, pass its session_id plus controller_token (the t= parameter of the url from the original create call) and the same link keeps working. Same as POST /api/present.
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| controller_token | string | – | Controller token for that presentation — the t= query parameter of the url returned when it was created. Required whenever session_id is given. |
| filename | string | – | Original filename, e.g. deck.pdf |
| pdf_base64 | string | yes | PDF file contents, base64-encoded |
| session_id | string | – | Id of an existing presentation to update in place (from an earlier present response) instead of creating a new one |
No output schema declared.
No examples provided.
How do I install the Presio MCP server?

What is the Presio MCP server?
Presio is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as xyz.presio/presio. Present PDFs from the browser: upload to start a slideshow or validate Presio sidecars. No auth. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://presio.xyz/mcp).
Is the Presio MCP server safe to use?
Presio scores 81 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.
What tools does the Presio MCP server expose?
Presio exposes 3 tools: present_pdf, check_pdf, plugin_guide. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 301 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.
Does the Presio MCP server require authentication?
No. We connected to Presio without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.
Is the Presio MCP server still maintained?
Presio is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 4 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
