MCP tools · 1 exposed · ~217 tokens

The tools this component advertises to a client, with an estimated token cost for each. Expand a tool to see its parameters and schema. The per-tool counts are indicative and are not scored directly; the schema's total context footprint is one signal in Schema Quality & AI Usability. A tool's description is untrusted text the model reads on every call, which is what makes this list a security surface and not just an inventory: how tool poisoning works →

List the DOCUMENTS FILED in a US federal court case — complaints, motions, orders, exhibits — with a direct link to each PDF. Reads the free RECAP archive on the Internet Archive; no API key and no PACER fee. Give a docket_id from a docket search, or a court and docket number. Returns document links and docket-entry numbering, NOT document text. Coverage is partial (about 36% of dockets, higher in appellate courts) because RECAP holds only what PACER users have contributed.

NameTypeReqDescription
courtstring–Court id, e.g. "nysd" — use together with docket_number.
docket_idnumber–Docket id from federal_civil_search, federal_criminal_search, bankruptcy_search or federal_appeal_search.
docket_numberstring–Docket number as the court records it, e.g. "1:15-cv-02842".
limitnumber–Maximum documents to return (1-200, default 50).
