How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. How we score → Why this is hard to score →
Endpoint Security74
- The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key. View diagnostics → Pass
- No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one. See how to fix → View diagnostics → Partial
- HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path. View diagnostics → Pass
- HSTS check failed: the Strict-Transport-Security header is absent. See how to fix → View diagnostics → Fail
- DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC. See how to fix → View diagnostics → Fail
Transport & Reachability100
- Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake. View diagnostics → Pass
Schema Quality & AI Usability67
- 67% of prompts and resources have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the item's name).Partial
- AI-judged instruction clarity (good).Pass
- Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 852 tokens (~170/item across 5 items; 2 tools + 3 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params. See how to fix → Fail
- Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples. See how to fix → Fail
Stability & Change Management3
- Stability observed for 1 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.Partial
Tool Coverage100
- 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).Pass
- 100% of tool parameters carry a description.Pass
Tool Safety100
- No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.Pass
- We read all 2 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.Pass
- An AI judge read all 4 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.Pass
Capabilities100
- Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).Pass
- Supports UI / widget rendering.Pass

The tools this component advertises to a client, with an estimated token cost for each. Expand a tool to see its parameters and schema. The per-tool counts are indicative and are not scored directly; the schema's total context footprint is one signal in Schema Quality & AI Usability. A tool's description is untrusted text the model reads on every call, which is what makes this list a security surface and not just an inventory: how tool poisoning works →
find_place Find a place ~78
Look up a place by name or address and return matching places with their coordinates. Use it to confirm an ambiguous start before generating routes.
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| near_lat | number | – | Optional latitude to prefer nearby matches. |
| near_lng | number | – | Optional longitude to prefer nearby matches. |
| query | string | yes | Place name or address to look up. |
No output schema declared.
No examples provided.
generate_routes Generate routes ~379
Use this when someone wants a cycling, running or walking route that starts and finishes at the same place, with a target distance or duration and optional climbing and scenery preferences. Do not use it for directions from one place to another or for driving. Shows the routes on a map where the host supports it, and always returns a link that opens the same request in Remap. Give either start (place text such as "Tempelhofer Feld, Berlin") or lng and lat, never both. When the person has not said where, call generate_routes without a start: the map asks for the person’s location and generates routes from there.
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| climbing | string | – | flat avoids hills, balanced neither seeks nor avoids them, hilly looks for climbs. |
| distance | number | – | Target distance of the whole route. |
| distance_unit | string | – | Unit of distance: km or mi. Defaults to km. |
| duration_minutes | number | – | Target duration in minutes, instead of a distance. |
| environments | array | – | Scenery to favour where the area has it. forest: through forest; parks: through parks and nature reserves; waterside: along rivers, canals and lakes; coast: along the coastline; climbs: over hills wo… |
| lat | number | – | Start latitude in degrees, when the start is known as a coordinate. |
| lng | number | – | Start longitude in degrees, when the start is known as a coordinate. |
| sport | string | yes | The activity. Walking generates foot routes at walking pace. |
| start | string | – | Where the route starts and finishes, as place text (a town, park, street or address). |
No output schema declared.
No examples provided.
How do I install the Remap MCP server?
Remap is a hosted endpoint at https://go.remap.earth/mcp, so there is nothing to install locally. Ready-made configuration for Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and 5 more is on this page, copied from each client's own documentation.

What is the Remap MCP server?
Remap is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as earth.remap/routes. Remap generates routes for cycling, running and walking anywhere on Earth. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://go.remap.earth/mcp).
Is the Remap MCP server safe to use?
Remap scores 70 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.
What tools does the Remap MCP server expose?
Remap exposes 2 tools: generate_routes, find_place. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 457 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.
Does the Remap MCP server require authentication?
No. We connected to Remap without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.
Is the Remap MCP server still maintained?
Remap is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 22 October 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
