How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. How we score → Why this is hard to score →
Endpoint Security80
- The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key. View diagnostics → Pass
- No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one. See how to fix → View diagnostics → Partial
- HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path. View diagnostics → Pass
- The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present. View diagnostics → Pass
- DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC. See how to fix → View diagnostics → Fail
Transport & Reachability100
- Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake. View diagnostics → Pass
Schema Quality & AI Usability64
- AI-judged instruction clarity (good).Pass
- Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 715 tokens (~238/item across 3 items; 3 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params. See how to fix → Fail
- Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples. See how to fix → Fail
Stability & Change Management7
- Stability observed for 2 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.Partial
Tool Coverage100
- 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).Pass
- 100% of tool parameters carry a description.Pass
- Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.Pass
Tool Safety100
- No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.Pass
- We read all 3 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.Pass
- An AI judge read all 4 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.Pass
Capabilities100
- Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.Pass
Every change we have recorded for this component, newest first. Security-relevant changes are always shown. ▲ marks a change for the better, ▼ a change for the worse; unmarked changes are neutral.
- 4 Nov 26 +1
No change was recorded against any check on this day. Stability & Change Management went from 3 to 7. That category is still filling its 30-day observation window: 1 days of observed history at the previous scan, 2 at this one. The score rises as the window fills, whether or not the server changes.
- 3 Nov 26 0
- The server rewrote its instructions, which are the text every model session reads security

The per-tool counts are indicative and are not scored directly; the schema's total context footprint is one signal in Schema Quality & AI Usability. compute_docs How to buy, poll, renew and control a machine ~122
Returns the Agentgates compute docs, read live (markdown written for an agent to follow in one pass): the plans with live prices, how to pay the 402 on each network, how to poll a machine until it runs, how to renew it (any wallet may pay a renewal), how to sign owner calls (X-Wallet-Auth: EIP-191 over METHOD\npath\nnonce\ntimestamp, by the wallet that paid), the controls (stop, start, restart, resize, update), and what a lost answer or a refusal means.
Input schema present but exposes no named parameters.

compute_plans Confidential VM plans and prices ~126
Lists the confidential virtual machines (Intel TDX, memory encrypted in use) Agentgates rents to agents by the hour: each plan's vCPU, memory, disk and traffic, the hours one payment may buy, and the live price of each block of hours on each payment network (USDC over x402). Read from the live catalog at call time. Free: no account, no wallet, no payment. Pass `plan` to read one plan.
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| plan | string | – | One plan id, to read only that plan. Omit for every plan on sale. |

compute_quote Price one machine (the x402 offer) ~285
Gets the exact price of one machine without paying: sends the create request with no payment and returns the API's HTTP 402 offer, one leg per network, each with the amount in USDC, the address it is paid to, the token, how long a signature stays good, and what to sign. The API checks the plan, the hours and the setup first, so a refusal costs nothing. Pass `machine_id` and `hours` instead to price a renewal of a running machine (any wallet may pay one). To buy, sign one leg with your own wallet and send the same request with an X-PAYMENT header (compute_docs has the whole contract).
| Name | Type | Req | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| compose | string | – | A docker-compose.yml as a string. It must publish a port. Or send image. |
| hours | integer | yes | Prepaid hours (within the plan's range), or hours to add on a renewal. |
| image | string | – | One container image, served on host port 8080, e.g. nginx:alpine. Or send compose. |
| machine_id | string | – | Price a renewal of this machine instead of a new one (with hours only). |
| plan | string | – | A plan id from compute_plans. Not with machine_id. |
| port | integer | – | With image: the container port behind 8080 (default 80). |

What is the Agentgates Compute MCP server?
Agentgates Compute is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as ai.agentgates/compute. Confidential VMs (Intel TDX) by the hour, paid in USDC over x402: live plans, prices, how to buy. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://mcp.agentgates.ai/compute).
Is the Agentgates Compute MCP server safe to use?
Agentgates Compute scores 73 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.
What tools does the Agentgates Compute MCP server expose?
Agentgates Compute exposes 3 tools: compute_plans, compute_quote, compute_docs. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 533 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.
Does the Agentgates Compute MCP server require authentication?
No. We connected to Agentgates Compute without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.
Is the Agentgates Compute MCP server still maintained?
Agentgates Compute is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 4 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
