## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-18.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 0/100
  - No malware scan is available for this kind of package: the supply-chain vendors we use do not cover it. This is a permanent gap in our coverage, not a finding about the package.
  - Known CVEs could not be checked: we found no dependency list to check in this bundle: either it runs a compiled binary, whose bundled manifests we do not read, or none of the package.json, requirements.txt, pyproject.toml or uv.lock files it ships for its runtime declares a dependency we can read (a requirements.txt that only points at a setup.py project, a local path, or a nested requirements file we cannot follow counts as none).
  - Install-script risk not yet assessed.
  - Dependency health could not be checked: we found no dependency list to check in this bundle: either it runs a compiled binary, whose bundled manifests we do not read, or none of the package.json, requirements.txt, pyproject.toml or uv.lock files it ships for its runtime declares a dependency we can read (a requirements.txt that only points at a setup.py project, a local path, or a nested requirements file we cannot follow counts as none).
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 45/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Provenance check failed: no build-provenance attestation is published.
  - Clear OSI-approved license (MIT).
  - Actively maintained (last published 2 days ago).
  - Disclosure check failed: no security disclosure policy was found in the source repository.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 71/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 4922 tokens (~136/item across 36 items; 36 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 13/100
  - Stability observed for 4 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 75/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - 0 of 3 tool(s) whose name or description implies an irreversible operation declare an MCP destructiveHint annotation; "account_remove" implies "remove" and declares no destructiveHint at all, which the MCP spec reads as destructive by default.
  - An AI judge read all 37 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 60/100
  - Spec-recency check failed: implements MCP spec 2025-06-18; the latest is 2026-07-28.

**Unverified: 1 category.** A category scored 0 because we could not verify it: a data source with nothing on this package, evidence we could not reach, or a check we could not run. We only credit what we can confirm.

## Install

### How do I install the Impactor MCP server?

Impactor ships as an MCPB bundle, a single file you download and open in an MCP host that supports MCPB bundles, such as Claude Desktop. The host reads the launch command from the bundle's own manifest, so there is no command to copy. Before opening it, check the file's SHA-256 matches the one the MCP registry declares for it, 9b6aacc00bf5016c65cdb44c6551cad2282a3514b9405e751c939aca85719f7b; the commands to do that are on this page. If it does not match, do not open it.

## MCP tools (36)

### `account_list` (~55 tokens)

List the Apple ID accounts saved in Impactor (shared with the GUI and plumesign CLI): email, first name, stored team id and which one is currently selected. Also returns the configured UI locale. Does not contact Apple.

### `account_login` (~245 tokens)

Log in with an Apple ID and save it as the selected account. Call it WITHOUT a password (the normal way): it opens a sign-in page on this computer in the user's browser, where they type their Apple ID, password and 2FA code themselves, so the password never passes through the agent. The result has status "awaiting_user" and a `sign_in_url`; then call `account_submit_2fa` with no arguments to wait until it finishes. Only when the user explicitly wants to and the client allows it, pass `email` and `password` directly; then a "2fa_required" result means asking for the code and calling `account_submit_2fa` with it. On success the status is "logged_in". Starting a new login cancels any pending one. Use an Apple ID dedicated to sideloading if possible.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): Apple ID email address. Optional with the sign-in page (pre-fills it).
- `open_browser` (boolean): Open the sign-in page in the default browser (default true).
- `password` (string): Apple ID password. Omit to use the sign-in page.

### `account_submit_2fa` (~141 tokens)

Continue a pending `account_login`. Pass `code` with the 6-digit verification code, or `sms_phone_id` (an id from `trusted_phone_numbers`) to have Apple text a code to that number (then call again with `code`). With neither argument it just waits for the login's next state (use after an "awaiting_user" or "in_progress" result, or while the user finishes on the sign-in page). Returns the same shape as `account_login`.

Input parameters:

- `code` (string): 2FA verification code.
- `sms_phone_id` (integer): Trusted phone number id to send an SMS code to.

### `account_cancel_login` (~28 tokens)

Cancel a pending `account_login` (e.g. waiting for a 2FA code).

### `account_switch` (~39 tokens)

Select a different saved account; subsequent tools use it by default.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string, required): Email of a saved account (see `account_list`).

### `account_remove` (~51 tokens)

Log out: remove a saved account (its session token) from Impactor. Does not affect the Apple ID itself or anything on Apple's servers.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string, required): Email of the saved account to remove.

### `account_teams` (~56 tokens)

List the developer teams available to an account (name, team_id, type, status) and show which team is stored as the account's default for signing.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.

### `account_set_team` (~65 tokens)

Set the default developer team used for signing/portal operations for an account. The team id is validated against `account_teams`.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `team_id` (string, required): Team id from `account_teams`.

### `settings_set_locale` (~58 tokens)

Set the Impactor GUI language (e.g. "en", "fr", "zh-CN"). Omit or pass an empty string to follow the system locale.

Input parameters:

- `locale` (string): Locale code, or empty for system default.

### `portal_account_info` (~66 tokens)

Show Apple Developer account details (name, email, developer status) for a team.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `team_id` (string): Team id; defaults to the account's stored team (see `account_teams`).

### `portal_list_certificates` (~78 tokens)

List the team's development certificates (name, serial number, status, expiration, machine name). Free accounts are limited to a few active certificates.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `team_id` (string): Team id; defaults to the account's stored team (see `account_teams`).

### `portal_revoke_certificate` (~100 tokens)

DESTRUCTIVE: revoke a development certificate by serial number. Apps signed with it (including SideStore/AltStore installs) stop launching. Confirm with the user first.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `serial_number` (string, required): Serial number from `portal_list_certificates`.
- `team_id` (string): Team id; defaults to the account's stored team (see `account_teams`).

### `portal_list_devices` (~69 tokens)

List devices registered to the team in the developer portal (name, UDID, platform, status).

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `team_id` (string): Team id; defaults to the account's stored team (see `account_teams`).

### `portal_register_device` (~99 tokens)

Register a device UDID with the team. If the UDID is already registered, returns the existing registration instead of adding a duplicate.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `name` (string, required): Display name for the device.
- `team_id` (string): Team id; defaults to the account's stored team (see `account_teams`).
- `udid` (string, required): Device UDID.

### `portal_list_app_ids` (~80 tokens)

List the team's App IDs (app_id_id, bundle identifier, name, features). Free accounts can create a limited number of App IDs per week.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `team_id` (string): Team id; defaults to the account's stored team (see `account_teams`).

### `portal_delete_app_id` (~120 tokens)

DESTRUCTIVE: delete an App ID by its `appIdId` (from `portal_list_app_ids`, not the bundle identifier). Note: on free accounts deleting does not give back App ID quota. Confirm with the user first.

Input parameters:

- `app_id_id` (string, required): The `appIdId` value from `portal_list_app_ids`.
- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `team_id` (string): Team id; defaults to the account's stored team (see `account_teams`).

### `portal_list_app_groups` (~66 tokens)

List the team's application groups (group identifiers used for app/extension data sharing).

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `team_id` (string): Team id; defaults to the account's stored team (see `account_teams`).

### `portal_download_profile` (~120 tokens)

Download the team provisioning profile for an existing App ID (by bundle identifier) and write it to `output_path` (.mobileprovision). Reports its expiration date.

Input parameters:

- `bundle_id` (string, required): Bundle identifier of an existing App ID.
- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `output_path` (string, required): Destination file path (e.g. C:\\tmp\\app.mobileprovision).
- `team_id` (string): Team id; defaults to the account's stored team (see `account_teams`).

### `portal_export_certificate` (~172 tokens)

Export the signing certificate + private key Impactor uses for this team as a .p12 file written to `output_path` (for use with other signing tools). Creates a certificate if none is stored locally. If the account already has the maximum number of certificates, this fails unless `allow_certificate_reset` is true, which REVOKES existing certificates (breaking SideStore/AltStore installs) - only set it with the user's explicit consent.

Input parameters:

- `allow_certificate_reset` (boolean): Allow revoking existing certificates if a new one is required.
- `email` (string): Account email; defaults to the selected account.
- `output_path` (string, required): Destination .p12 file path.
- `team_id` (string): Team id; defaults to the account's stored team (see `account_teams`).

### `device_list` (~67 tokens)

List connected devices (iPhone/iPad over USB or Wi-Fi via usbmuxd, plus "This Mac" on Apple Silicon Macs). Returns name, udid, device_id, connection (usb/wifi/local) and is_mac. Use the udid with the other device_* tools.

### `device_info` (~107 tokens)

Read lockdown device values (DeviceName, ProductType, ProductVersion, BuildVersion, SerialNumber, etc.) from a connected iOS device. Uses the host pairing record when available for a full value set; otherwise returns the limited unpaired set.

Input parameters:

- `udid` (string): UDID (or usbmuxd device id) of the target device, as returned by `device_list`. Optional when exactly one device is connected. Use "mac" for This Mac (Apple Silicon only).

### `device_pair` (~112 tokens)

Pair ("Trust") this computer with a USB-connected iOS device and save the pairing record to usbmuxd. The device must be unlocked; the user must tap "Trust" and enter the passcode on the device when prompted, so tell them to watch the screen.

Input parameters:

- `udid` (string): UDID (or usbmuxd device id) of the target device, as returned by `device_list`. Optional when exactly one device is connected. Use "mac" for This Mac (Apple Silicon only).

### `device_list_apps` (~161 tokens)

List user-installed apps on a USB-connected iOS device. Each entry includes bundle_id, name, version, the detected app type (e.g. SideStore, Feather, StikDebug, LiveContainer) and, when that app type accepts one, its pairing_file_path (use with `device_install_pairing_file`). With pairing_capable_only=true only apps that can receive a pairing file are returned.

Input parameters:

- `pairing_capable_only` (boolean): Only return apps that accept a pairing file (default false).
- `udid` (string): UDID (or usbmuxd device id) of the target device, as returned by `device_list`. Optional when exactly one device is connected. Use "mac" for This Mac (Apple Silicon only).

### `device_install_app` (~142 tokens)

Install an ALREADY-SIGNED .ipa file or .app directory onto a device as-is, without re-signing (use `sign_and_install` to sign first). Works for iOS devices over usbmuxd and for "This Mac" on Apple Silicon (installs to /Applications/iOS). Reports progress.

Input parameters:

- `path` (string, required): Absolute path to a signed .ipa file or .app bundle directory.
- `udid` (string): UDID (or usbmuxd device id) of the target device, as returned by `device_list`. Optional when exactly one device is connected. Use "mac" for This Mac (Apple Silicon only).

### `device_install_pairing_file` (~279 tokens)

Write this computer's pairing file for the device into an installed app's Documents container (house_arrest), as the Impactor GUI "Utilities" screen does for SideStore, StikDebug, Feather, LiveContainer, etc. Also enables Wi-Fi debugging on the device. The destination path defaults to the known location for the detected app type; pass pairing_path for unknown apps. With remote_pairing=true an RPPairing (RemoteXPC) file is generated/reused instead of the classic lockdown pairing record (needed by some apps on iOS 17.4+, e.g. Dev Auto Capture). The device must already be paired/trusted.

Input parameters:

- `bundle_id` (string, required): Bundle identifier of the installed target app (see `device_list_apps`).
- `pairing_path` (string): Destination path inside the app container, e.g. /Documents/pairingFile.plist. Defaults to the path for the detected app type.
- `remote_pairing` (boolean): Install a remote (RPPairing) pairing file instead of the lockdown pairing record (default false).
- `udid` (string): UDID (or usbmuxd device id) of the target device, as returned by `device_list`. Optional when exactly one device is connected. Use "mac" for This Mac (Apple Silicon only).

### `device_install_profile` (~94 tokens)

Install a provisioning profile (.mobileprovision) onto a USB-connected iOS device via misagent.

Input parameters:

- `path` (string, required): Absolute path to the .mobileprovision file.
- `udid` (string): UDID (or usbmuxd device id) of the target device, as returned by `device_list`. Optional when exactly one device is connected. Use "mac" for This Mac (Apple Silicon only).

### `device_is_app_installed` (~93 tokens)

Check whether a user app with the given bundle identifier is installed on a USB-connected iOS device.

Input parameters:

- `bundle_id` (string, required): Bundle identifier to look for.
- `udid` (string): UDID (or usbmuxd device id) of the target device, as returned by `device_list`. Optional when exactly one device is connected. Use "mac" for This Mac (Apple Silicon only).

### `macho_info` (~138 tokens)

Inspect a Mach-O binary: per-architecture slices (CPU type, platform, minimum OS and SDK version), dylib load commands (LC_LOAD_DYLIB, weak, reexport, ...), embedded code-signing entitlements (as JSON and as an XML plist string) and app groups. `path` may be the binary itself or an .app bundle directory (its main executable is resolved from Info.plist). For an .ipa, extract it first (e.g. with `package_inspect`).

Input parameters:

- `path` (string, required): Absolute path to a Mach-O executable/dylib/framework binary, or to an .app directory.

### `macho_edit` (~319 tokens)

Modify a Mach-O binary IN PLACE (all architecture slices; the file is overwritten - copy it first if you need the original). Operations: "add_dylib" adds a weak LC_LOAD_WEAK_DYLIB for `dylib` (e.g. @rpath/Tweak.dylib or @executable_path/Frameworks/x.dylib; no-op if present; fails if there is no header padding left); "replace_dylib" rewrites `old_dylib` to `new_dylib` (new path must fit in the existing command); "set_sdk_version" sets the LC_BUILD_VERSION SDK to `sdk_version` (X.Y.Z, e.g. 26.0.0). `path` may be the binary or an .app directory (edits its main executable). Editing invalidates the code signature: the bundle must be re-signed before installing.

Input parameters:

- `dylib` (string): Dylib install path for add_dylib.
- `new_dylib` (string): Replacement dylib load path (replace_dylib).
- `old_dylib` (string): Existing dylib load path to replace (replace_dylib).
- `operation` (string, required): Edit to perform.
- `path` (string, required): Absolute path to the Mach-O binary, or an .app directory (main executable is edited).
- `sdk_version` (string): New SDK version as X.Y.Z, e.g. 26.0.0 (set_sdk_version).

### `package_inspect` (~159 tokens)

Inspect an iOS app package (.ipa file or .app directory) without modifying it. Returns display name, bundle identifier, version, build number, executable, the detected special app type (e.g. SideStore, LiveContainer, Feather, StikDebug - these get special handling when signing), whether 'single_profile' is enabled by default for it, and whether a device pairing file can be installed into the app after installation (and where). Optionally writes the app icon as PNG to `icon_output_path`.

Input parameters:

- `icon_output_path` (string): Optional file path where the app icon (PNG) is written, if the package has one.
- `path` (string, required): Path to a .ipa file or a .app bundle directory.

### `sign_and_install` (~884 tokens)

Sign an iOS app (.ipa or .app) and install it on a device and/or export the signed .ipa. The original file is never modified (it is staged in a temp dir). Modes: 'apple_id' (default; uses the saved Apple account to get a development certificate, registers the device and app IDs on the developer portal and fetches provisioning profiles; bundle id gets the team id appended unless custom_identifier is given), 'adhoc' (ad-hoc signature, no certificate - only useful for jailbroken/TrollStore-like setups or Mac targets), 'pem' (sign with your own certificate/key PEM files and an optional .mobileprovision; no portal access), 'none' (install/export the package unmodified). Set `install` (default true) and/or `output_path`. Use `device_list` to find the udid (optional when exactly one device is connected). `refresh: true` saves the signed app for automatic re-signing before the 7-day free-account profile expires (apple_id mode + install only). Leave `allow_certificate_reset` false unless the user explicitly agreed to revoke existing certificates. Long running; reports progress.

Input parameters:

- `allow_certificate_reset` (boolean): Allow revoking existing development certificates if a new one is needed and the limit is reached (breaks existing SideStore/AltStore installs). Default false.
- `custom_entitlements` (string): Path to an entitlements .plist to sign the main app with. Only used when single_profile is true.
- `custom_icon` (string): Path to an image file to use as the new app icon.
- `custom_identifier` (string): Override the bundle identifier (embedded extensions are renamed to match).
- `custom_name` (string): Override the app display name.
- `custom_version` (string): Override the version string.
- `email` (string): Apple account email (apple_id mode). Defaults to the selected account.
- `install` (boolean): Install on the device after signing (default true).
- `install_pairing_file` (boolean): After install, copy the device pairing file into apps that support it (SideStore, Feather, StikDebug, ...). Default true.
- `mode` (string): Signing mode (default apple_id).
- `output_path` (string): Export the signed .ipa to this file path (or into this existing directory).
- `package_path` (string, required): Path to the .ipa file or .app directory to sign.
- `pem_files` (array): pem mode: PEM files containing the signing certificate and private key.
- `provisioning_profile` (string): pem mode: path to a .mobileprovision to embed.
- `refresh` (boolean): Save the signed app for automatic refresh (apple_id mode with install only). Default false.
- `single_profile` (boolean): Register/provision only the main app (not app extensions). Default depends on the app type (true for LiveContainer).
- `support_ellekit` (boolean): Inject ElleKit (tweak loader) even without tweaks.
- `support_file_sharing` (boolean): Enable Files app / iTunes file sharing (UIFileSharingEnabled + UISupportsDocumentBrowser).
- `support_game_mode` (boolean): Set GCSupportsGameMode.
- `support_ipad_fullscreen` (boolean): Set UIRequiresFullScreen (iPad full screen).
- `support_liquid_glass` (boolean): Opt into the iOS 26 Liquid Glass design (patches the executable's SDK version to 26.0).
- `support_minimum_os_version` (boolean): Set MinimumOSVersion to 7.0 so the app installs on older iOS versions.
- `support_pro_motion` (boolean): Enable 120Hz ProMotion on iPhone (CADisableMinimumFrameDurationOnPhone).
- `team_id` (string): Developer team id (apple_id mode). Defaults to the account's stored team, else the first team.
- `tweaks` (array): Paths of tweaks to inject: .deb, .dylib, .framework, .bundle or .appex. Injecting tweaks also injects ElleKit.
- `udid` (string): Target device UDID (or usbmuxd device id, or 'mac' for this Apple Silicon Mac). Optional if exactly one device is connected.

### `sign_list_app_types` (~53 tokens)

List the special app types Impactor recognizes (by bundle id or name) and the extra handling each gets when signing: certificate embedding (SideStore/AltStore), default single_profile, and pairing-file installation path.

### `refresh_list` (~84 tokens)

List apps saved for auto-refresh (installed with `sign_and_install` refresh=true or from the Impactor GUI), grouped by device: name, bundle id, saved path, next scheduled refresh (RFC 3339), whether it is due now, and whether the saved copy still exists. Free-account profiles expire after 7 days; refresh is scheduled 3 days before expiry.

### `refresh_app_now` (~182 tokens)

Refresh one saved app immediately: renews its provisioning profile and, if the certificate changed, the app is not installed anymore, or the target is a Mac, re-signs and reinstalls the saved copy. The device must be connected. Identify the app by `app_path` or `bundle_id` (optional if the device has only one saved app). Long running; reports progress.

Input parameters:

- `allow_certificate_reset` (boolean): Allow revoking existing development certificates if a new one is needed (breaks existing SideStore/AltStore installs). Default false.
- `app_path` (string): Saved app path exactly as shown by `refresh_list`.
- `bundle_id` (string): Bundle identifier of the saved app (alternative to app_path).
- `udid` (string, required): UDID of the device the app was saved for (see `refresh_list`).

### `refresh_run_due` (~61 tokens)

Refresh every saved app whose scheduled refresh time has passed and whose device is currently connected. Returns a per-app result (refreshed / not connected / error).

Input parameters:

- `allow_certificate_reset` (boolean): Allow revoking existing development certificates if needed. Default false.

### `refresh_forget_app` (~134 tokens)

Stop auto-refreshing a saved app: removes it from the refresh list (and the device entry when no apps remain) and by default deletes its saved signed copy. Does not uninstall the app from the device.

Input parameters:

- `app_path` (string): Saved app path exactly as shown by `refresh_list`.
- `bundle_id` (string): Bundle identifier of the saved app (alternative to app_path).
- `delete_files` (boolean): Also delete the saved signed copy from the refresh store (default true).
- `udid` (string, required): UDID of the device the app was saved for (see `refresh_list`).
