## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-18.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 0/100
  - No malware scan is available for this kind of package: the supply-chain vendors we use do not cover it. This is a permanent gap in our coverage, not a finding about the package.
  - Known CVEs could not be checked: this artifact ships no SBOM or dependency manifest, so there is no dependency list to read.
  - Install-script risk not yet assessed.
  - Dependency health could not be checked: this artifact ships no SBOM or dependency manifest, so there is no dependency list to read.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 45/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Provenance check failed: no build-provenance attestation is published.
  - Clear OSI-approved license (Apache-2.0).
  - Actively maintained (last published 8 days ago).
  - Disclosure check failed: no security disclosure policy was found in the source repository.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 67/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 2252 tokens (~150/item across 15 items; 15 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 13/100
  - Stability observed for 4 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 15 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 15 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

**Unverified: 1 category.** A category scored 0 because we could not verify it: a data source with nothing on this package, evidence we could not reach, or a check we could not run. We only credit what we can confirm.

## Install

### How do I install the KPN Grexx MCP server?

KPN Grexx runs locally as a container image, launched with docker run --rm -i -e KPN_GREXX_USERNAME -e KPN_GREXX_PASSWORD -e KPN_GREXX_BASE_URL -e KPN_GREXX_TOKEN_URL -e KPN_LEGACY_DEVELOPER_API -e KPN_CLIENT_ID -e KPN_CLIENT_SECRET -e KPN_MSM_CLIENT_ID -e KPN_MSM_CLIENT_SECRET -e KPN_BASE_URL -e MCP_TRANSPORT -e AUTH_MODE -e LOG_LEVEL ghcr.io/wyre-ai/kpn-mcp:v2.2.1. Ready-made configuration for Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and 3 more is on this page, copied from each client's own documentation.

### Claude

```bash
claude mcp add wyre-ai-kpn-mcp -- docker run --rm -i -e KPN_GREXX_USERNAME -e KPN_GREXX_PASSWORD -e KPN_GREXX_BASE_URL -e KPN_GREXX_TOKEN_URL -e KPN_LEGACY_DEVELOPER_API -e KPN_CLIENT_ID -e KPN_CLIENT_SECRET -e KPN_MSM_CLIENT_ID -e KPN_MSM_CLIENT_SECRET -e KPN_BASE_URL -e MCP_TRANSPORT -e AUTH_MODE -e LOG_LEVEL ghcr.io/wyre-ai/kpn-mcp:v2.2.1
```

This image reads KPN_GREXX_USERNAME, KPN_GREXX_PASSWORD, KPN_GREXX_BASE_URL, KPN_GREXX_TOKEN_URL, KPN_LEGACY_DEVELOPER_API, KPN_CLIENT_ID, KPN_CLIENT_SECRET, KPN_MSM_CLIENT_ID, KPN_MSM_CLIENT_SECRET, KPN_BASE_URL, MCP_TRANSPORT, AUTH_MODE and LOG_LEVEL. Set them in your client's env block for this server; docker run -e passes each one through to the container.

## Changelog

Every change recorded for this component, newest first. Days that predate change tracking, or that we cannot explain, say so: "we were watching and nothing happened" and "we were not watching" are different claims.

### 2026-10-18 (score 41, +1)

No change was recorded against any check on this day. Stability & Change Management went from 10 to 13. That category is still filling its 30-day observation window: 3 days of observed history at the previous scan, 4 at this one. The score rises as the window fills, whether or not the server changes.

## MCP tools (15)

### `kpn_grexx_test_connection` (~121 tokens)

Verify Grexx IRMA credentials. GrexxClient mints an OAuth 2.0 client_credentials token (scope=all): HTTP Basic first, then form-body client_id and client_secret after HTTP 400/401 invalid_client. It posts ZipCodeCheckRequest_V6 for the public reference address 1012JS 1, portfolio All, with the Bearer token. This server does not build the token request. Success means the token endpoint and POST /realtime accepted the call. The probe does not read a customer record.

### `kpn_grexx_zipcode_check` (~230 tokens)

Technology and speeds at a Dutch address via Grexx ZipCodeCheckRequest_V6 (POST /realtime, OAuth Bearer). Returns ZipCodeCheckResponse_V5 suppliers and speeds. Portfolio is Business, SMB, Teleworker, or All. Omit suppliers to check every supplier. Read-only.

Input parameters:

- `houseNumber` (integer, required): XSD HouseNr. Positive integer.
- `houseNumberExtension` (string): XSD HouseNrExtension. Optional.
- `isRoomNumberKnown` (boolean, required): XSD IsRoomNumberKnown. Required. False when the room number is not known.
- `portfolio` (string, required): XSD Portfolio. Business, SMB, Teleworker, or All.
- `roomNumber` (string): XSD RoomNumber. Optional.
- `serviceId` (string): XSD ServiceId. Optional. KPN lines only.
- `suppliers` (array): XSD Suppliers. Omit or pass an empty list to check every supplier.
- `zipCode` (string, required): Dutch postcode, for example "1012JS" or "1012 JS".

### `kpn_grexx_prequalification` (~363 tokens)

Address and product-type availability per supplier via Grexx PrequalificationRequest_V2 (POST /realtime, OAuth Bearer). Returns PrequalificationResponse_V1 address fields and products (availability Unknown, Red, Yellow, Green). When hasBroadband is true, serviceId or referencePhoneNumber is required. Omit suppliers to check every supplier. Read-only.

Input parameters:

- `hasBroadband` (boolean, required): XSD HasBroadband. Required. When true, serviceId or referencePhoneNumber is required.
- `hasPhone` (boolean, required): XSD HasPhone. Required.
- `houseNumber` (integer, required): XSD HouseNr. xs:int.
- `houseNumberExtension` (string): XSD HouseNrExtension. Optional.
- `isComplexAddress` (boolean): XSD IsComplexAddress. Optional.
- `israSpecs` (string): XSD IsraSpecs. Optional.
- `orderId` (string): XSD OrderId. Optional. Pattern OID followed by digits.
- `phoneNumber` (string): XSD PhoneNumber. Optional.
- `productTypeCode` (string, required): XSD ProductTypeCode.
- `referencePhoneNumber` (string): XSD ReferencePhoneNumber. Optional. Satisfies the HasBroadband rule.
- `roomNumber` (string): XSD RoomNumber. Optional.
- `serviceId` (string): XSD ServiceId. Optional. Satisfies the HasBroadband rule.
- `suppliers` (array): XSD Suppliers. Omit or pass an empty list to check every supplier. Tokens differ from ZipCodeCheck (Kpn, not KPN).
- `zipCode` (string, required): XSD ZipCode. Dutch postcode, for example "1012JS" or "9999ZZ".

### `kpn_grexx_order_data` (~69 tokens)

Customer id, product code, and quantity for an IRMA order via Grexx OrderDataRequest_V1 (POST /realtime, OAuth Bearer). Returns OrderDataResponse_V1. Read-only.

Input parameters:

- `orderId` (integer, required): XSD OrderId. xs:int.

### `kpn_grexx_carrier_info` (~188 tokens)

Infrastructure (carrier) information at a Dutch address for xDSL, FttH or WEAS fiber (IRMA CarrierInfoRequest_V1): connection points, line details and planned work.

Input parameters:

- `houseNumber` (integer, required): House number, 1-99999.
- `houseNumberExtension` (string): House number addition, up to 4 characters.
- `israSpecification` (string): ISRA point, 3 digits, e.g. "001". xDSL only.
- `phoneNumber` (string): Phone number, 10 digits starting with 0. xDSL only.

Input parameters:

- `orderId` (integer, required): IRMA order ID of the connectivity order.

### `kpn_grexx_ras_check` (~62 tokens)

PPP/RAS session check on a connectivity order (IRMA RasCheckRequest_V1): whether a PPP session is up and which IP address the connection has.

Input parameters:

- `orderId` (integer, required): IRMA order ID of the connectivity order.

### `kpn_grexx_start_line_diagnose` (~133 tokens)

Start a KPN line diagnose on an xDSL (Ethernet) order (IRMA StartLineDiagnoseRequest_V1). Use it when a line is out of sync. This starts a test at KPN; it is not retried automatically. The response confirms the start and returns an AnalysisId. Fetching the result (GetLatest) is not exposed yet.

Input parameters:

- `orderId` (integer, required): IRMA order ID of the xDSL order.
- `symptomCode` (string, required): IRMA symptom code: Sym103, Sym104, Sym105, or Sym111.
