## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-04.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 50/100
  - Malware scan not yet available for this package.
  - No known CVEs affecting this package version or its production dependencies.
  - Runs setuptools.build_meta at install time, a recognised build step with no custom scripting around it.
  - 0 of 36 dependencies flagged as unhealthy.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 100/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Cryptographically verified build provenance (signed, bound to tidybytetools/pdf-table-pull-lite).
  - Clear OSI-approved license (MIT).
  - Actively maintained (last published 0 days ago).
  - Publishes a security disclosure policy (SECURITY.md).
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 75/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 286 tokens (~286/item across 1 items; 1 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 0/100
  - Stability not yet verified: not enough scan history yet (needs a 30-day window).
- **Tool Coverage**: 71/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 0% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 1 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 1 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

**Unverified: 1 category.** A category scored 0 because we could not verify it: a data source with nothing on this package, evidence we could not reach, or a check we could not run. We only credit what we can confirm.

## MCP tools (1)

### `extract_pdf_tables` (~286 tokens)

Extract PDF tables to CSV

Pull the tables out of a local text PDF.

Use this when you need the rows and columns of a table from a PDF on this
computer, for example to load them into a spreadsheet, pandas or a database.
Do not use it for scanned PDFs or photos (there is no OCR), for PDFs on the web
(download the file first), or when you want the whole document as text
(use a PDF-to-Markdown or text tool instead).

path: full path to a PDF on this computer.
pages: optional, like "1,3-5". Empty means all pages.
strategy: "auto" (default, tries borders first, then spacing), "lines" (tables with
ruled borders) or "text" (tables lined up by spacing). Try "text" if "auto" misses
a table that has no border lines.
output_dir: optional. If set, each table is saved there as a CSV and the file paths
are returned. Files named pageN_tableM.csv that already exist there are replaced.
If empty, nothing is written and the CSV text of each table is returned.

Scanned (image-only) pages have no text and are skipped. Returns [] if no tables.

Input parameters:

- `output_dir` (string)
- `pages` (string)
- `path` (string, required)
- `strategy` (string)

Output parameters:

- `result` (array)
