## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-23.

- **Endpoint Security**: 80/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 76/100
  - 100% of prompts and resources have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the item's name).
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 621 tokens (~207/item across 3 items; 2 tools + 1 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 3/100
  - Stability observed for 1 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 2 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 4 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.
  - Supports UI / widget rendering.

## MCP tools (2)

### `convert_currency` (~273 tokens)

Convert currency

Use this when the user wants a currency converter or the currency exchange rate today, for example to convert usd to eur, euro to dollar, or the rate on date for any day back to 1999-01-04. It uses the European Central Bank euro reference rates (published on working days around 16:00 CET) and returns the converted amount, the rate, the inverse rate and the actual rate date, for up to 10 target currencies. Rates are indicative mid-market rates, not a bank or card rate, and there is no cryptocurrency. Do not use for crypto, metals or live market quotes.

Input parameters:

- `amount` (number, required): The amount of money to convert, greater than 0 and up to 1e12, with at most 2 decimals. Example: 100.50.
- `date` (string): Optional rate date as YYYY-MM-DD (1999-01-04 or later, not in the future). Example: 2026-10-16. Omit for the latest published rate.
- `from` (string, required): The ISO 4217 currency code to convert from, e.g. USD.
- `to` (string, required): One to ten ISO 4217 currency codes to convert to, separated by commas. Example: EUR or EUR,JPY,GBP.

Output parameters:

- `amount` (number)
- `converted` (object)
- `date_requested` (string|null)
- `decimals` (object)
- `from` (string)
- `inverse_rates` (object)

- `retrieved_utc` (string)
- `source` (string)
- `source_url` (string)
- `to` (array)

### `rate_history` (~247 tokens)

Exchange rate history

Use this when the user asks for an exchange rate history or a historical exchange rate, or the conversion of currency data over a date range, or wants a CSV of rates. It returns the daily European Central Bank euro reference rates for up to 5 quote currencies over at most 366 days, with min, max, average and the first-to-last change in percent, plus a CSV download and a line chart in the widget. It shows published working days only (no weekends or ECB holidays) and is not financial advice. Do not use for stocks, crypto or commodity prices.

Input parameters:

- `base` (string, required): The ISO 4217 code of the base currency, e.g. USD. Rates are per 1 unit of this currency.
- `end` (string, required): The last date of the range as YYYY-MM-DD, at most 366 days after start. Example: 2026-03-31.
- `quote` (string, required): One to five ISO 4217 quote currency codes, separated by commas. Example: EUR or EUR,JPY.
- `start` (string, required): The first date of the range as YYYY-MM-DD. Example: 2026-01-01.

Output parameters:

- `base` (string)
- `downloads` (object)
- `end` (string)
- `notes` (array)
- `preview_rows` (array)
- `published_days` (number)
- `quotes` (array)

- `source_url` (string)
- `start` (string)
- `stats` (array)
