## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 63/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS enforcement could not be verified: the plaintext port answered with HTTP 405, which proves neither a plaintext path nor enforcement.
  - HSTS check failed: the Strict-Transport-Security header is absent.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 64/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 375 tokens (~187/item across 2 items; 2 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 30/100
  - Stability observed for 9 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 81/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 43% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 2 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 2 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

## Changelog

Every change recorded for this component, newest first. Days that predate change tracking, or that we cannot explain, say so: "we were watching and nothing happened" and "we were not watching" are different claims.

### 2026-11-04 (score 67, +1)

No change was recorded against any check on this day. Stability & Change Management went from 23 to 27. That category is still filling its 30-day observation window: 7 days of observed history at the previous scan, 8 at this one. The score rises as the window fills, whether or not the server changes.

### 2026-11-01 (score 66, +1)

No change was recorded against any check on this day. Stability & Change Management went from 13 to 17. That category is still filling its 30-day observation window: 4 days of observed history at the previous scan, 5 at this one. The score rises as the window fills, whether or not the server changes.

### 2026-10-30 (score 65, +1)

- [security] Tool “plan_night_out” rewrote its description, which is the text the model reads
- [functional regression] Schema quality: 157 → 187
- [functional improvement] Tool coverage: 33% → 43%
- [cosmetic] “plan_night_out” added an optional parameter “date”

### 2026-10-28 (score 64, +1)

- [functional improvement] Stability: unverified → 0.03

### 2026-10-27 (score 63)

## MCP tools (2)

### `find_common_ground` (~188 tokens)

Find common ground for a group

Pick ONE movie, TV show, book, music artist, podcast, restaurant (kind=place, with location) or destination that a whole group will enjoy. Give each person's name and 2 to 5 things they love. Favourites can come from another category with tasteFrom, for example music artists to pick a restaurant, or any for a mix of artists, movies, TV shows and books. Uses Qloo's taste graph to score every candidate for every person and returns the option that makes the least happy person as happy as possible, with a reason per person.

Input parameters:

- `kind` (string, required)
- `location` (string)
- `members` (array, required)
- `tasteFrom` (string): Category of the favourites, when it differs from kind. Example artist, to pick a movie from music. Use any when favourites mix music artists, movies, TV shows and books.

### `plan_night_out` (~187 tokens)

Plan a night out for a group of friends

Plan dinner, drinks and a live music venue in one city for 2 to 6 friends. Give the city and each friend's name with 1 to 4 music artists, movies, TV shows or books they love. Optionally give an exact night date as YYYY-MM-DD; Qloo then filters venues by that date's weekday only, not by exact opening times, travel or availability. Qloo's cross-domain taste graph turns that shared taste into real venues. Each stop is the venue whose least happy friend is happiest, and Qloo explainability names the favourites behind it, with the share of each friend's taste.

Input parameters:

- `city` (string, required): City for the night out, for example Lisbon or New York.
- `date` (string): Optional exact night date as YYYY-MM-DD. Qloo filters places by that date's weekday only.
- `members` (array, required)

## Common questions

### What is the Common Ground MCP server?

Common Ground is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as io.github.theluckystrike/common-ground. Pick one movie, show, book, artist or restaurant a whole group will enjoy, using Qloo taste data. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://common-ground.lipmichal.workers.dev/mcp).

### Is the Common Ground MCP server safe to use?

Common Ground scores 67 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Common Ground MCP server expose?

Common Ground exposes 2 tools: find_common_ground, plan_night_out. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 375 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the Common Ground MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to Common Ground without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the Common Ground MCP server still maintained?

Common Ground is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
