## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-18.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 50/100
  - Malware scan not yet available for this package.
  - No known CVEs affecting this package version or its production dependencies.
  - Runs hatchling.build at install time, a recognised build step with no custom scripting around it.
  - 1 of 30 dependencies flagged as unhealthy.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 45/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Provenance check failed: no build-provenance attestation is published.
  - Clear OSI-approved license (MIT).
  - Actively maintained (last published 13 days ago).
  - Disclosure check failed: no security disclosure policy was found in the source repository.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 67/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 1527 tokens (~169/item across 9 items; 9 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 0/100
  - Stability not yet verified: not enough scan history yet (needs a 30-day window).
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 9 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 10 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

**Unverified: 1 category.** A category scored 0 because we could not verify it: a data source with nothing on this package, evidence we could not reach, or a check we could not run. We only credit what we can confirm.

## MCP tools (9)

### `calculate_salary_tax` (~176 tokens)

APIT (Advance Personal Income Tax) an employer deducts from one month's salary.

Uses APIT Tax Table No. 01: regular monthly employment income (salary plus allowances and
taxable benefits) of a resident employee, or a non-resident Sri Lankan citizen, in their
primary employment. `tax` is the amount from the official table, which is what payroll
deducts; `exact_tax` is the underlying formula to the cent. Not for lump sums, bonuses paid
once, secondary employment or non-resident foreign employees.

Input parameters:

- `monthly_income` (required): Amount in Sri Lankan rupees, e.g. 350000 or "350000.50".
- `pay_date`: Date the rules apply to, as YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. the pay date or invoice date). Defaults to today.

### `calculate_annual_income_tax` (~108 tokens)

Personal income tax for a resident individual for a whole year of assessment.

Applies the personal relief and progressive rates for that year and returns the tax,
the band-by-band breakdown and the effective rate.

Input parameters:

- `annual_income` (required): Total assessable income for the year of assessment, before personal relief, in rupees.
- `year_of_assessment` (string, required): Year of assessment (April to March), e.g. "2025/26". Supported from 2023/24.

### `calculate_withholding_tax` (~328 tokens)

Withholding tax (WHT / AIT) the payer must deduct from a payment and pay to the IRD.

Handles the Rs. 100,000 monthly thresholds for service fees and rent (once exceeded, WHT applies
to the full payment), exempt small lottery winnings, and grossing up when the payer bears the tax.

Input parameters:

- `amount` (required): The payment in rupees, excluding VAT. With payer_bears_tax, the amount the payee must receive.
- `month_total`: For service fees and rent: total paid to this person in the calendar month, including this payment. WHT only applies once this exceeds Rs. 100,000. Defaults to the amount.
- `payer_bears_tax` (boolean): True if the payer pays the WHT on top so the payee receives the amount in full.
- `payment_date`: Date the rules apply to, as YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. the pay date or invoice date). Defaults to today.
- `payment_type` (string, required): service_fee: fees to a resident individual who isn't an employee (teaching, commissions, independent professionals). interest: interest or discount. rent_resident: rent to a resident. dividend. winni…

### `calculate_vat` (~145 tokens)

Add VAT to a price, or work out the VAT included in a VAT-inclusive price.

The caller decides whether the supply is taxable: this tool does not classify goods or
services as exempt or zero-rated.

Input parameters:

- `amount` (required): Amount in Sri Lankan rupees, e.g. 350000 or "350000.50".
- `invoice_date`: Date the rules apply to, as YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. the pay date or invoice date). Defaults to today.
- `mode` (string): add: the amount excludes VAT. extract: the amount already includes VAT.
- `supply` (string): standard for most supplies; financial_services for VAT on financial services.

### `check_vat_registration` (~121 tokens)

Whether a business must register for VAT, given its taxable supplies. Give at least one figure.

Uses the registration thresholds in force on the date (supplies other than financial services).

Input parameters:

- `on_date`: Date the rules apply to, as YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. the pay date or invoice date). Defaults to today.
- `period_turnover`: Taxable supplies in the taxable period (usually a quarter), in rupees.
- `turnover_12_months`: Taxable supplies in the 12 months then ending, in rupees.

### `calculate_sscl` (~171 tokens)

Social Security Contribution Levy (SSCL): 2.5% of the liable share of turnover for an activity.

For a business with several activities, call once per activity and add the results.
Does not cover financial services, which are levied on value addition.

Input parameters:

- `activity` (string, required): import: importing (100% liable). manufacture: manufacturing (85%). service: providing services (100%). distributor: sale by a registered distributor of a Sri Lankan manufacturer (25%). wholesale_reta…
- `on_date`: Date the rules apply to, as YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. the pay date or invoice date). Defaults to today.
- `turnover` (required): Turnover from this activity for the period, in rupees.

### `check_sscl_registration` (~95 tokens)

Whether a business must register for SSCL, given its aggregate turnover. Give at least one figure.

Input parameters:

- `on_date`: Date the rules apply to, as YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. the pay date or invoice date). Defaults to today.
- `quarter_turnover`: Aggregate turnover for the quarter, in rupees.
- `turnover_4_quarters`: Aggregate turnover for four consecutive quarters, in rupees.

### `get_tax_rules` (~108 tokens)

The rates, bands and thresholds of a tax in force on a date, with their IRD sources.

Use this to answer "what is the current VAT rate?" or "what were the APIT bands in 2024?".
For withholding tax, returns every payment type.

Input parameters:

- `on_date`: Date the rules apply to, as YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. the pay date or invoice date). Defaults to today.
- `tax` (string, required): Which tax's rules to return.

### `get_rule_history` (~76 tokens)

Every version of a tax's rules since 1 January 2023: what changed, when, and the IRD source.

Use this for questions like "what changed for SSCL in 2026?" or "when did VAT go to 18%?".

Input parameters:

- `tax` (string, required): Which tax's history to return.
