## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 100/100
  - No malware found by supply-chain analysis.
  - No known CVEs affecting this package version or its production dependencies.
  - Runs hatchling.build at install time, a recognised build step with no custom scripting around it.
  - 1 of 35 dependencies flagged as unhealthy.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 97/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Cryptographically verified build provenance (signed, bound to sepehr071/snappshop-mcp).
  - Clear OSI-approved license (MIT).
  - Actively maintained (last published 1 days ago).
  - Disclosure check failed: no security disclosure policy was found in the source repository.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 69/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 2084 tokens (~160/item across 13 items; 13 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 0/100
  - Stability not yet verified: not enough scan history yet (needs a 30-day window).
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 13 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 14 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

**Unverified: 1 category.** A category scored 0 because we could not verify it: a data source with nothing on this package, evidence we could not reach, or a check we could not run. We only credit what we can confirm.

## MCP tools (13)

### `ss_search` (~331 tokens)

Search products

Search Snapp! Shop (اسنپشاپ) products by name, with price, brand, spec, colour and delivery filters.

Use first to find a product; each item carries `id` (for ss_reviews / ss_similar) and `product_id` (for ss_product).
The first page also lists `brands` (ids for the `brands` filter). Prices are Toman, Tehran delivery.
A phrase nothing matches falls back to unrelated items, so check the titles.

Input parameters:

- `brands`: Brand ids (6 characters) taken from `brands` in an earlier ss_search / ss_category answer.
- `colors`: Colour names or ids from ss_filters, e.g. ['مشکی'].
- `discounted` (boolean): Only products with a discount.
- `express` (boolean): Only products with fast delivery.
- `in_stock` (boolean): Only products that can be bought now.
- `max_price`: Highest price in Toman (not Rial).
- `min_price`: Lowest price in Toman (not Rial).
- `page` (integer): Page number, 12 items per page, starting at 1.
- `query` (string, required): What to look for, Persian or English, e.g. 'هدفون بلوتوثی'.
- `sort`: Order of the list; the site default (no value) is its own relevance order.
- `specs`: Spec filters as 'filter=option', by name or id, e.g. ['حافظه داخلی=256 گیگابایت']. One option per filter; names come from ss_filters.

### `ss_suggest` (~57 tokens)

Search suggestions

Complete a search phrase the way the site's search box does, most searched first.

Use to find the popular wording before ss_search. Returns `terms` with a popularity `score`.

Input parameters:

- `query` (string, required): Start of a search phrase.

### `ss_categories` (~78 tokens)

Categories

List Snapp! Shop categories as `path` values that ss_category accepts.

Call with no argument for the top-level categories, then again with one of their paths for the subcategories and
brand pages below it.

Input parameters:

- `parent`: A category path such as 'mobile' to list what is under it; empty lists the top-level categories.

### `ss_category` (~271 tokens)

Category products

List the products of one Snapp! Shop category or category-brand page, with sort, price, spec and colour filters.

Use after ss_categories; ss_filters shows the spec names. A top-level path such as 'mobile' has no product list:
pick a subcategory.

Input parameters:

- `colors`: Colour names or ids from ss_filters, e.g. ['مشکی'].
- `discounted` (boolean): Only products with a discount.
- `express` (boolean): Only products with fast delivery.
- `in_stock` (boolean): Only products that can be bought now.
- `max_price`: Highest price in Toman (not Rial).
- `min_price`: Lowest price in Toman (not Rial).
- `page` (integer): Page number, 12 items per page, starting at 1.
- `path` (string, required): Category path from ss_categories, one or two parts, e.g. 'mobile/samsung' or 'health-beauty/vitamins'.
- `sort`: Order of the list; the site default (no value) is its own relevance order.
- `specs`: Spec filters as 'filter=option', by name or id, e.g. ['حافظه داخلی=256 گیگابایت']. One option per filter; names come from ss_filters.

### `ss_product` (~86 tokens)

Product detail

Get one product: specs, rating, and every seller's price, stock and delivery.

Offers are sorted cheapest first. `id` in the answer feeds ss_reviews and ss_similar. Prices are Toman.

Input parameters:

- `product` (string, required): `product_id` from ss_search / ss_category (digits), 'snp-<digits>' or a snappshop.ir product URL.

### `ss_reviews` (~89 tokens)

Product reviews

Read buyers' reviews of a product: score, title, text, pros and cons, helpful votes and date.

Reviewer names are left out. Use to check quality complaints before recommending a product.

Input parameters:

- `id` (string, required): Product `id` (6 characters) from ss_search or ss_product, not the numeric product_id.
- `page` (integer): Page number, 10 reviews per page.

### `ss_similar` (~109 tokens)

Similar products

Find alternatives to a product that Snapp! Shop shows under 'similar products'.

Use to compare prices of close substitutes. Items have the same fields as ss_search.

Input parameters:

- `category_id` (string, required): `category_id` from ss_product.
- `id` (string, required): Product `id` (6 characters) from ss_search or ss_product.
- `kind` (string): 'similar' = other products like this one; 'accessories' = what is sold with it (cases, glass).

### `ss_seller` (~108 tokens)

Seller products

List the products one seller (فروشنده) offers on Snapp! Shop.

Use to see what else a pharmacy or shop sells after reading its offer in ss_product.

Input parameters:

- `page` (integer): Page number, 12 items per page, starting at 1.
- `seller_id` (string, required): `seller_id` (6 characters) from an offer in ss_product.
- `sort`: Order of the list; the site default (no value) is its own relevance order.

### `ss_filters` (~95 tokens)

List filters

Show the filters Snapp! Shop offers for a category or search: price range, colours, brands and spec filters.

Give `path` or `query`. Use the names in `specs` / `colors` / `brands` of ss_category and ss_search.

Input parameters:

- `path`: Category path such as 'mobile/samsung' (from ss_categories).
- `query`: Or a search phrase, as in ss_search.

### `ss_brand` (~118 tokens)

Brand page

List the products of one brand page on Snapp! Shop.

Use when you know the brand slug (it is in brand links on the site); for a brand inside a category use ss_category.

Input parameters:

- `page` (integer): Page number, 12 items per page, starting at 1.
- `slug` (string, required): Brand slug from a site URL snappshop.ir/brand/<slug>, e.g. 'samsung'.
- `sort`: Order of the list; the site default (no value) is its own relevance order.

### `ss_collection` (~97 tokens)

Collection products

List every product of one promotion collection (flash sale, carousel, 'see all' list) from ss_promotions.

Input parameters:

- `id` (string, required): Collection id (6 characters) from ss_promotions: a flash sale or carousel.
- `page` (integer): Page number, 12 items per page, starting at 1.
- `sort`: Order of the list; the site default (no value) is its own relevance order.

### `ss_promotions` (~115 tokens)

Promotions

Show what Snapp! Shop is promoting: flash sales with end times, carousels, campaign pages and top products.

Each product section has a `collection_id` for ss_collection (all its products). Slugs appear in links on the site.

Input parameters:

- `page` (string): 'home', or 'campaign/<slug>' (e.g. campaign/supermarket), 'landing/<slug>' (e.g. landing/mother-and-baby), 'collection/<slug>' (e.g. collection/flagship-phone).

### `ss_compare` (~80 tokens)

Compare products

Compare 2-4 products side by side: price, rating, seller count and the specs that differ.

Use after ss_search to choose between candidates. `specs` lists only rows whose values differ, in product order.

Input parameters:

- `products` (array, required): 2-4 products: numeric product_id, 'snp-<digits>' or URL.

## Common questions

### What is the Snapp! Shop MCP server?

Snapp! Shop is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as io.github.sepehr071/snappshop-mcp. Read-only Snapp! Shop marketplace: search, categories, seller offers in Toman, reviews. This page covers its PyPI package (snappshop-mcp).

### Is the Snapp! Shop MCP server safe to use?

Snapp! Shop scores 80 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. We found no known CVEs affecting it as of 5 November 2026. Its build provenance is signed and verified. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Snapp! Shop MCP server expose?

Snapp! Shop exposes 13 tools: ss_search, ss_suggest, ss_categories, ss_category, ss_product, and 8 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 1,634 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Is the Snapp! Shop MCP server still maintained?

Snapp! Shop is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.

### What licence is the Snapp! Shop MCP server under?

Snapp! Shop declares the MIT licence, which is OSI-approved. That covers the source only, and says nothing about the cost of any service it calls.

### What did VerifyMCP test on the Snapp! Shop MCP server?

VerifyMCP ran 15 checks on Snapp! Shop, covering Malware scan, Known CVEs, Install scripts, Dependency health and 11 more. One item could not be completed, a gap on our side rather than a finding about Snapp! Shop: Stability. One category scores 0 for that reason, because we only credit what we can confirm. Endpoint Security and Transport & Reachability do not apply to a PyPI package, so they were not tested. The score does not measure everything, and the scoring documentation lists what it leaves out.
