## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 100/100
  - No malware found by supply-chain analysis.
  - No known CVEs affecting this package version or its production dependencies.
  - No install/post-install scripts declared.
  - No production dependencies, so there is no dependency health to assess.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 97/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Cryptographically verified build provenance (signed, bound to pipeworx-io/mcp-nl-rechtspraak).
  - Clear OSI-approved license (MIT).
  - Actively maintained (last published 1 days ago).
  - Security-disclosure policy not yet verified: we couldn't inspect the source repository.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 58/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 622 tokens (~311/item across 2 items; 2 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 20/100
  - Stability observed for 6 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 2 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 3 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

## MCP tools (2)

### `nl_rechtspraak_search` (~415 tokens)

Search Dutch court decisions (uitspraken/conclusies) by court, legal domain (rechtsgebied), document type and decision-date range, paged. The source has no full-text search API; passing `query` filters client-side on each candidate's title and published abstract only (not the full decision text) across at most 200 of the most recently modified metadata-matching candidates — the response says when that scan was partial. Returns ECLIs that nl_rechtspraak_get_decision resolves to the full text.

Input parameters:

- `court` (string): A currently sitting Dutch court's name or abbreviation, e.g. "Hoge Raad", "HR", "Rechtbank Amsterdam", "RBAMS" — or an exact creator identifier URI from data.rechtspraak.nl/Waardelijst/Instanties for…
- `date_from` (string): Decision date (uitspraakdatum) range start, ISO YYYY-MM-DD. With date_to, filters "from date_from through date_to" inclusive. Alone, filters to exactly that one date.
- `date_to` (string): Decision date range end, ISO YYYY-MM-DD. Alone (no date_from), filters to exactly that one date.
- `limit` (number): Max results to return, 1-100 (default 20).
- `offset` (number): 0-based offset into the result list (default 0).
- `query` (string): Text to match against each candidate decision's title and published abstract (case-insensitive substring). NOT a search of the full decision body.
- `subject` (string): A rechtsgebied (legal domain) name from the Rechtspraak taxonomy, e.g. "Civiel recht", "Arbeidsrecht", "Strafrecht" — or its exact identifier URI.
- `type` (string): Document type: "uitspraak" (judgment/ruling) or "conclusie" (advocate-general's opinion, Hoge Raad cassation cases only). Omit for both.

### `nl_rechtspraak_get_decision` (~150 tokens)

Read one Dutch court decision by its ECLI (e.g. "ECLI:NL:HR:2019:2006"): full original Dutch text, court, decision date, publication date and last-modified date as separate fields, procedure, rechtsgebied(en), formal relations to other ECLIs (e.g. earlier/later instance), and any BWB statute ids the source formally links (often empty — see cited_bwb_ids_note) for chaining to nl_wetten_get_law / nl_wetten_get_article.

Input parameters:

- `ecli` (string, required): The decision's ECLI, e.g. "ECLI:NL:HR:2019:2006".

## Common questions

### What is the Nl Rechtspraak MCP server?

Nl Rechtspraak is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as io.github.pipeworx-io/nl-rechtspraak. Netherlands court decisions (uitspraken en conclusies), search by court, legal domain and date… This page covers its npm package (@pipeworx/mcp-nl-rechtspraak).

### Is the Nl Rechtspraak MCP server safe to use?

Nl Rechtspraak scores 81 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. We found no known CVEs affecting it as of 5 November 2026. It declares no install or post-install scripts. Its build provenance is signed and verified. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Nl Rechtspraak MCP server expose?

Nl Rechtspraak exposes 2 tools: nl_rechtspraak_search, nl_rechtspraak_get_decision. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 565 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Is the Nl Rechtspraak MCP server still maintained?

Nl Rechtspraak is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.

### What licence is the Nl Rechtspraak MCP server under?

Nl Rechtspraak declares the MIT licence, which is OSI-approved. That covers the source only, and says nothing about the cost of any service it calls.

### What did VerifyMCP test on the Nl Rechtspraak MCP server?

VerifyMCP ran 15 checks on Nl Rechtspraak, covering Malware scan, Known CVEs, Install scripts, Dependency health and 11 more. One item could not be completed, a gap on our side rather than a finding about Nl Rechtspraak: Security disclosure. Endpoint Security and Transport & Reachability do not apply to an npm package, so they were not tested. The score does not measure everything, and the scoring documentation lists what it leaves out.
