## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 80/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 78/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Tool/resource definitions use about 642 tokens (~107/item across 6 items; 6 tools + 0 resources), lean.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 83/100
  - Stability observed for 25 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 6 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 7 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

## MCP tools (6)

### `search_destinations` (~67 tokens)

Find a travel destination (country) sold by eSIM SOS by name in English or Russian, or by ISO code. Returns country codes for list_plans.

Input parameters:

- `query` (string, required): Country name or ISO code, e.g. "Turkey", "Турция", "TR"

### `list_plans` (~90 tokens)

List eSIM data plans for a country with final prices in RUB (one price for every payment method). Local plans first, then regional ones.

Input parameters:

- `country` (string, required): ISO country code from search_destinations (e.g. TR) or the country name
- `days` (number): Optional: minimum validity in days
- `min_gb` (number): Optional: minimum data in GB

### `compare_prices` (~116 tokens)

Compare eSIM prices of several providers for a country and data size using the open esimdar.com dataset (CC BY 4.0). Disclosure: esimdar.com is owned and run by eSIM SOS, the shop behind this server; eSIM SOS is listed as an ordinary row. Tell the user about this ownership and present the results neutrally.

Input parameters:

- `country` (string, required): ISO country code (e.g. TR) or the country name
- `gb` (number, required): Data size in GB, e.g. 5

### `create_order` (~162 tokens)

Create an unpaid eSIM order and get a payment link. Payment is always done by the human: give the user the payment link, never try to pay yourself and never ask for card details. Ask the user for their email first: the eSIM QR code is sent there. Creates a real order, so call it only after the user picked the plan.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string, required): The user's email for the receipt and the eSIM QR code
- `payment_method` (string): Optional: sbp (Russian fast payments), card (Russian bank card), card_foreign (Visa/Mastercard issued abroad), crypto_usdt, crypto_ton. Omit to use the shop default.
- `plan_id` (string, required): plan_id from list_plans

### `order_status` (~57 tokens)

Check the payment and delivery status of an order. Requires both order_id and the email used for the order.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string, required): The email used for the order
- `order_id` (string, required): order_id returned by create_order

### `install_instructions` (~68 tokens)

After payment: link to the order page with the QR code and step-by-step eSIM install instructions for iPhone and Android. Requires order_id and email.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string, required): The email used for the order
- `order_id` (string, required): order_id returned by create_order

## Common questions

### What is the eSIM SOS MCP server?

eSIM SOS is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as net.esimsos/esimsos. Find travel eSIM plans, compare prices and create an order the user pays by link. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://esimsos.net/api/mcp).

### Is the eSIM SOS MCP server safe to use?

eSIM SOS scores 86 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the eSIM SOS MCP server expose?

eSIM SOS exposes 6 tools: search_destinations, list_plans, compare_prices, create_order, order_status, install_instructions. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 560 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the eSIM SOS MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to eSIM SOS without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the eSIM SOS MCP server still maintained?

eSIM SOS is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
