## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 80/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 79/100
  - 100% of prompts and resources have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the item's name).
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Tool/resource definitions use about 2414 tokens (~100/item across 24 items; 14 tools + 10 resources), lean.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 50/100
  - Stability observed for 15 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 86/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 57% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 14 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 16 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

Find free AI tools, API free tiers, credits and programs. Free text plus optional filters; returns the best matches with limits, card rules and the page URL to cite.

Input parameters:

- `audience` (string)
- `cardRequired` (boolean): false = only offers that never ask for a card
- `category` (string)
- `commercialUse` (string): yes = only offers whose free-plan output may be used commercially; offers not checked yet never match
- `freeType` (string)

- `region` (string): ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code or "global"

### `get_offer` (~137 tokens)

Get one offer

Full details for one offer by slug (the last path segment of an aifree.dev/offer/... URL), including the write-up and, for API free tiers, the models served with their published rate limits (rateLimit: rpm, rpd, tpm, optional tpd and rpmo; null = not published), the API id of each model when recorded (apiId), whether its vendor documents JSON mode / structured output (structuredOutput, omitted when unknown), and the API base URL with its request shape (apiBaseUrl, apiCompat: openai, anthropic, google or custom).

Input parameters:

- `slug` (string, required)

### `offer_history` (~129 tokens)

One offer's change history

What changed on one offer, newest first: its changelog events (listed, verified, terms_updated, expired, incidents, …) and edits to its public facts (what is free, limits, card rule, expiry, vendor URL), each with a { from, to } diff when fields changed. Same data and paging as GET /api/v1/offers/{slug}/history.

Input parameters:

- `limit` (integer)
- `page` (integer)
- `since` (string): YYYY-MM-DD or an ISO 8601 date-time with a time zone

Input parameters:

- `limit` (integer)

### `find_models` (~221 tokens)

Find free LLM models and their rate limits

Which free API tiers serve an LLM model, with the published free-tier rate limits (RPM, RPD, TPM, TPD, requests/month), context window, tool calling and JSON mode (structured output). Same rows and ranking (most requests per day first) as the free LLM API picker. Search by model or provider name, optionally by family.

Input parameters:

- `family` (string): Model family slug, e.g. "gemini", "llama", "qwen", "gpt"
- `limit` (integer)
- `noCard` (boolean): true = only offers that never ask for a card

- `structuredOutput` (boolean): true = only models documented with JSON mode or structured output (response_format)
- `toolCalling` (boolean): true = only models documented with tool calling
- `vision` (boolean)

### `recent_changes` (~75 tokens)

Recent catalog changes

What was listed, verified, changed or expired recently, newest first.

Input parameters:

- `hub` (string): Only offers of this category hub, e.g. free-ai-coding-tools
- `kind` (string)
- `limit` (integer)
- `page` (integer)
- `since` (string): YYYY-MM-DD

### `list_models` (~228 tokens)

List models in the free catalog

Every model some live free offer serves (the data behind aifree.dev/model and GET /api/v1/models), most free sources first: slug, family, vendor, context window, tool calling, vision, JSON mode, open weights and how many free sources serve it. Filter by name, family, provider, capability or minimum context; then call get_model for the sources and rate limits.

Input parameters:

- `family` (string): Exact family, e.g. "gpt", "llama", "gemini", "embedding"
- `limit` (integer): Default 50
- `minContextK` (integer): Minimum context window in thousands of tokens, e.g. 128
- `page` (integer)
- `provider` (string): Substring of a source provider, offer name or offer slug, e.g. "groq"
- `query` (string): Substring of the model slug, name or a source model name
- `toolCalling` (boolean): true = only models with tool calling
- `vision` (boolean): true = only models with vision

### `get_model` (~84 tokens)

Get one model and where it is free

One model by slug (an alias slug resolves to the canonical one) with every live free source: offer, provider, verified or listed, card rule, context and the published rate limits (rpm, rpd, tpm, tpd, rpmo; null = not published). Same record as GET /api/v1/models/{model}.

Input parameters:

- `slug` (string, required)

### `list_providers` (~42 tokens)

List providers

Every provider with public offers: slug, offer count, categories, free types and its offers with status and URL. Same data as GET /api/v1/providers.

### `build_stack` (~186 tokens)

Build a free AI stack

The aifree.dev/stack builder: for a template (chat, rag, image, voice, agent, finetune) one free pick per slot (llm, emb, vec, host, gpu, tts, stt, image) with alternatives, the tightest published LLM requests per day, cards and programs to watch, and a shareable URL. Optionally pin a slot to an offer slug, require no card, or limit to a country.

Input parameters:

- `noCard` (boolean): true = only offers that never ask for a card
- `picks` (object): Pin slots to offer slugs, e.g. { "llm": "groq-free-tier" }
- `region` (string): ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code, e.g. "VN"; unknown codes are ignored
- `template` (string, required)

### `get_status` (~41 tokens)

aifree.dev status

aifree.dev own status: overall verdict, 30-day uptime, per-path checks and background job health. Same report as GET /api/v1/status.

### `compare_offers` (~48 tokens)

Compare offers side by side

A markdown comparison table (provider, what is free, limits, card rules, catch, expiry, status) for 2-8 offer slugs.

Input parameters:

- `slugs` (array, required)

### `check_eligibility` (~388 tokens)

Check which free AI offers a profile can claim

Use when someone asks what free AI they qualify for given who they are, e.g. "I am a student in Vietnam with no credit card, what free AI can I get?". Same rules as the aifree.dev/unlock quiz: student and startup programs only when the profile says so, no-card drops offers that ask for a card, country drops offers recorded as other-countries-only (offers with no recorded region stay in and are counted in unrecordedRegionCount), building narrows by category. All parameters are optional; omitted ones mean not a student, no startup, anywhere, card OK, any category. Unknown values are ignored the same way. Returns verified rows first, then by USD value. totalUsd sums USD headline values of verified rows only (tokens, requests, images or minutes count as $0, no exchange rates); listed rows are public but not yet checked by a person. limit (default 20, max 50) only trims the returned list: total, verifiedCount and totalUsd cover every match. Each provider decides who qualifies; cite the offer url and the unlockUrl (the same result as a page).

Input parameters:

- `building` (string): any (default), coding, api-credits (apps on LLM APIs), image, audio, video, assistant
- `country` (string): ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code, e.g. "VN", "IN", "US"; unknown codes are ignored
- `limit` (integer)
- `noCard` (boolean): true = will not enter a payment card
- `startupStage` (string): none (default), idea (no company yet), early (incorporated, pre-seed or bootstrapped), funded (raised a round); anything but none adds startup programs
- `student` (boolean): true = enrolled student (adds student programs)

### `ask_aifree` (~60 tokens)

Ask aifree

A short answer about free AI offers grounded in the verified catalog, citing only offer slugs it was shown. Declines questions outside the catalog. Cached per question for 24 h; subject to a daily budget.

Input parameters:

- `question` (string, required)
