## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-18.

- **Endpoint Security**: 63/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - Authorisation check failed: no authorisation is required to call this server, and it exposes a tool marked destructive (write_site).
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 56/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 5358 tokens (~412/item across 13 items; 13 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 13/100
  - Stability observed for 4 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 13 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 14 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

The mcpServers block is a cross-client convention. Remote transports vary, so check your client's docs.

## Changelog

Every change recorded for this component, newest first. Days that predate change tracking, or that we cannot explain, say so: "we were watching and nothing happened" and "we were not watching" are different claims.

### 2026-10-17 (score 65, +1)

No change was recorded against any check on this day. Stability & Change Management went from 7 to 10. That category is still filling its 30-day observation window: 2 days of observed history at the previous scan, 3 at this one. The score rises as the window fills, whether or not the server changes.

First indexed and scored.

## MCP tools (13)

### `create_site` (~99 tokens)

Create a site

Make a new, empty site, live at once at https://<slug>.miow.me. Returns its token (pass it to every other tool as `token`) and a claim link. Give the claim link to your human: opening it on their phone saves a passkey that makes them the owner. An unclaimed site is deleted after seven days. Then fill the site with write_site.

Input parameters:

- `name` (string, required): The business's name

### `get_site` (~78 tokens)

Get a site

A site's name, theme, address and every page by path and title, plus its status: a running or failed job (from import_site) and its domain. Call before changing a site you did not just create.

Input parameters:

- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

### `read_page` (~83 tokens)

Read a page

One page whole, in the shape write_site takes, so you can change it and send it back. Read every page you mean to change first: write_site replaces a page whole.

Input parameters:

- `path` (string, required): "" for the home page
- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

### `search_site` (~130 tokens)

Search a site

The site's pages that hold some words, best first: titles starting with them, then titles holding them, then descriptions and page text; a question no page holds word for word is matched in English, stems and all. Each with its path, url, title, description and the passage the words are in, the first 20 of `total`: the same rows as the site's search page and /search.json?q=.

Input parameters:

- `query` (string, required): The words to find
- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

### `write_site` (~3970 tokens)

Write pages

Create or replace pages, each sent whole, and delete others; optionally rename the site, change its theme, or set its header, replaced whole. A page you do not send is left as it is. Every write can be undone (history, undo). The input schema gives every block's fields.

Pages
\- path "" is the home page and must exist. Other paths are lowercase slugs, slash-separated, no leading slash.
\- navOrder places a page in the header nav (0 first); null keeps it out. The home page is reached by the site name, so give it null.
\- path "search" is the site's search results page, which every site has; no page takes it.
\- path "_footer" is not a page to visit but the footer shown under every page: addresses, hours, contact details. Content and columns blocks, no hero and no h1, navOrder null. A site without one has no footer.
\- description is the page's search snippet: one sentence, under 160 characters.
\- Omit every id.

Blocks
\- A page is a list of blocks, stacked vertically. Every page has exactly one h1: a hero's heading, a product's or a products block's with a menu, or else an h1 at the top of its first content block.
\- "hero" opens a page: a heading (the h1), a sentence or two of plain text, and optionally one button. Its heading and text, and a cta's, are plain text that may wrap words in <strong> or <em>, as the source sets them bold or italic; words in <strong> in a hero's heading are also drawn in the accent colour. Use it on the home page and on pages that sell something. Its optional image is a picture filling the opening behind the words, by https URL, under the same rule as an image block. Where its words are a subheading rather than a sentence (a line or two, often set as headings at the source), give "subheading": true. With no picture, "backdrop": "mesh", "grain", "flow" or "marble" sets a slowly moving field of the site's own colours behind the words, smooth, grainy, folding like poured paint, or hard-edged as marbled paper: at most one on a site, on the home p…

Input parameters:

- `delete` (array): Paths of pages to remove
- `header` (object): Replaces the header whole; {} clears it
- `name` (string): A new name for the site
- `pages` (array): Pages to create or replace, each whole
- `summary` (string, required): What this change does, in a few words, for the history
- `theme` (object): Keys to change. hue, chroma, tone and contrast, sent together, derive all six colours and replace those set before; a colour sent beside them is kept over it.
- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

### `history` (~73 tokens)

History

The last 30 changes to the site, newest first: what each did, who made it and when. Pass a change id to undo to put the site back as it was before that change.

Input parameters:

- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

### `get_stats` (~186 tokens)

Visitors

The site's visitors, agents, page views, bounce rate and visit length over the last `days` days, the same figures for the same number of days before, visitors and agents by day, the agents by name, its most visited pages, entry pages, sources (a referring host or a link's utm_source), countries (ISO codes) and devices, and what visitors searched the site for and found nothing. A visitor is one browser on one day, counted without cookies. An agent (an AI crawler, an MCP client, or anything reading the site's markdown, llms.txt or .well-known files) is counted the same way and never among the visitors.

Input parameters:

- `days` (number): 1 to 365; 30 if omitted
- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

### `undo` (~83 tokens)

Undo

Put the site back as it was before a change, undoing it and every change since. Take the change id from history. The undo is itself a change, so it can be undone too.

Input parameters:

- `change_id` (string, required): From history
- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

### `import_site` (~113 tokens)

Move a website in

Replace the site's pages with an existing website's (Squarespace, Wix, or anything with a sitemap), word for word, at the same paths, with its images copied across. Runs in the background for a minute or two: poll get_site until `job` is null, or read its error.

Input parameters:

- `source` (string, required): The current website, e.g. https://example.com
- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

### `upload_image` (~91 tokens)

Upload an image

Copy an image from a URL into miow's store and get back the URL to use in an image block. Up to 10 MB. Use it for an image on someone else's server, which may move or vanish.

Input parameters:

- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.
- `url` (string, required): https URL of the image

### `set_domain` (~123 tokens)

Use a domain

Put a site nobody owns yet on a domain your human already has; once someone owns the site, its domain is set only from its settings. Returns the DNS records they must set where they bought it: first a TXT record proving the domain is theirs, then the records that point it here. The site moves to the domain once those records are seen; call domain_status to check.

Input parameters:

- `domain` (string, required): e.g. example.com
- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

### `domain_status` (~72 tokens)

Domain status

Whether a pending domain from set_domain is live yet, and the DNS records still missing if not. DNS can take an hour to be seen; call again later rather than in a loop.

Input parameters:

- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

### `invite_link` (~92 tokens)

Invite link

A link that makes whoever opens it the owner of a site nobody owns yet, after saving a passkey. Works once, for two weeks. Give it to the person who should own the site, never post it. Once the site has an owner, they invite others from its settings.

Input parameters:

- `token` (string): The site token from create_site or the site's settings. Omit if your Authorization header carries it.

## Common questions

### What is the miow MCP server?

miow is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as me.miow/miow. Build and host a small business website: write its pages, move an existing site in, add a domain. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://miow.me/mcp).

### Is the miow MCP server safe to use?

miow scores 65 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the miow MCP server expose?

miow exposes 13 tools: create_site, get_site, read_page, search_site, write_site, and 8 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 5,193 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the miow MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to miow without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the miow MCP server still maintained?

miow is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 18 October 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
