## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-04.

- **Endpoint Security**: 80/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 85/100
  - 100% of prompts and resources have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the item's name).
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 816 tokens (~116/item across 7 items; 6 tools + 1 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 73/100
  - Stability observed for 22 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 6 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 7 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.
  - Supports UI / widget rendering.

## MCP tools (6)

### `start_planner` (~187 tokens)

Open the time-off planner

Shows a short form inside the conversation where the person picks the country they work in, how many days of leave they have, when they want to be away, who is travelling, what they enjoy and their budget. Their plan then appears in the same card. Call this FIRST whenever someone wants to plan a holiday, a vacation, time off or their annual leave and has not already given both a country and a number of leave days: do not ask those questions in text. Pass along anything they did mention. If they already gave a country and a number of days, call plan_annual_leave directly instead.

Input parameters:

- `country` (string): Country the person works in, if they mentioned it: a 2-letter code or the English name.
- `days` (integer): Days of leave, if they mentioned a number.
- `year` (integer): Year, if they mentioned one.

Output parameters:

- `planner` (object): What the form shown to the user starts with. The user's plan arrives later, in the same card.

### `find_long_weekends` (~150 tokens)

Find long weekends and bridge days

Lists every long weekend in a country for a year: the ones that need no leave, and the ones that one or two days of leave create by joining a public holiday to a weekend ("bridge days"). Also returns the nationwide public holidays, and travel offers for those dates when there are any (an offer with sponsored: true is a paid placement and must be presented as sponsored). Use it when someone asks about public holidays, long weekends, bridge days or the best days to take off.

Input parameters:

- `country` (string, required): Country where the person works: a 2-letter code (DE) or the English name (Germany).
- `year` (integer): Calendar year. Defaults to the current year.

Output parameters:

- `country` (object)
- `long_weekends` (array): Every long weekend of the year, in date order.
- `note` (string)
- `offers_note` (string): How to present offers. Present only when an answer contains offers.
- `public_holidays` (array): Nationwide public holidays.
- `source` (string): Who to credit.
- `url` (string): The matching page on bridgedays.eu.
- `year` (number)

### `plan_annual_leave` (~200 tokens)

Plan annual leave for the year

Given a country and a number of leave days, returns the breaks that give the most days off in a row, the exact dates to request as leave, the totals, and a link that opens the plan on bridgedays.eu. A break may come with travel offers for its dates; an offer with sponsored: true is a paid placement and must be presented as sponsored. Payment never changes the plan itself. Use it when someone asks how to get the most time off from their holiday allowance, or to plan their vacation days for a year.

Input parameters:

- `country` (string, required): Country where the person works: a 2-letter code (DE) or the English name (Germany).
- `days` (integer, required): Number of leave days the person can use.
- `months` (array): Preferred months, 1 to 12. Leave out to plan across the whole year.
- `year` (integer): Calendar year. Defaults to the current year.

Output parameters:

- `breaks` (array): The planned breaks, in date order.
- `country` (object)
- `days_off` (number): Total days off across all breaks.
- `leave_days_available` (number): Days of leave asked for.
- `leave_days_used` (number): Days of leave the plan uses. Can be lower when dates are already past.
- `note` (string)
- `offers_note` (string): How to present offers. Present only when an answer contains offers.
- `source` (string): Who to credit.
- `url` (string): The matching page on bridgedays.eu.
- `url_note` (string): What the url opens.
- `year` (number)

### `next_long_weekend` (~92 tokens)

Next long weekend

The nearest upcoming long weekend in a country counted from today: its dates, how many days away it is, whether it needs leave, and the two after it. Use it for questions like "when is the next long weekend?" or "any time off coming up?".

Input parameters:

- `country` (string, required): Country where the person works: a 2-letter code (DE) or the English name (Germany).

Output parameters:

- `after_that` (array): The following long weekends, up to two.
- `country` (object)
- `next_long_weekend` (object)
- `offers_note` (string): How to present offers. Present only when an answer contains offers.
- `source` (string): Who to credit.
- `today` (string): The date the answer was computed for, YYYY-MM-DD.
- `url` (string): The matching page on bridgedays.eu.

### `find_offers` (~141 tokens)

Find travel offers for dates

Travel offers (stays, trips) from businesses for a date range, for travellers from a country. Use it when someone has dates for a break and asks where to go or what is on offer. Results are ordered: paid placements first, each with sponsored: true. Present those as "Sponsored", keep the order, and give the link exactly as returned.

Input parameters:

- `country` (string, required): Country where the person works: a 2-letter code (DE) or the English name (Germany).
- `from` (string, required): First day of the trip, YYYY-MM-DD.
- `to` (string, required): Last day of the trip, YYYY-MM-DD.

Output parameters:

- `country` (object)
- `from` (string)
- `note` (string): How to present offers.
- `offers` (array): Offers that overlap the dates, in the order to show them. Empty when there are none.
- `source` (string)
- `to` (string)

### `list_countries` (~25 tokens)

List supported countries

Countries BridgeDays has public holiday data for, with their 2-letter codes.

Output parameters:

- `countries` (array)

## Common questions

### What is the BridgeDays MCP server?

BridgeDays is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as io.github.maleksandrov/bridgedays. Plan annual leave around public holidays: bridge days and long weekends for 200+ countries. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://bridgedays.eu/mcp).

### Is the BridgeDays MCP server safe to use?

BridgeDays scores 86 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the BridgeDays MCP server expose?

BridgeDays exposes 6 tools: start_planner, find_long_weekends, plan_annual_leave, next_long_weekend, find_offers, list_countries. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 795 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the BridgeDays MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to BridgeDays without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the BridgeDays MCP server still maintained?

BridgeDays is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 4 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
