## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

## MCP tools (6)

### `search_gift_cards` (~84 tokens)

Search gift cards

Free. Search the SpendTheBits gift-card catalogue for one country (USA, Canada and others). Returns brands with their slugs and the amounts they are sold in.

Input parameters:

- `country` (string, required): Country name or slug, e.g. "USA" or "Canada".
- `query` (string): Brand name to search for, e.g. "starbucks".

### `get_price` (~114 tokens)

Indicative price

Free. The indicative USDC total for one card, read from the card URL's unpaid 402. Creates nothing and pays nothing. An unknown brand comes back as unknown_product with suggestions.

Input parameters:

- `amount` (required): Face value in the card's own currency, e.g. 25 or "12.50".
- `brand` (string, required): Brand name or slug from search_gift_cards, e.g. "amazon-com".
- `country` (string, required): Country name or slug, e.g. "USA" or "Canada".

### `quote` (~176 tokens)

Lock a price (pays a small quote fee)

COSTS A FEW CENTS OF USDC. Pays the card URL's quote fee, which creates the order at the card provider's exact price and returns order_id, total_usdc and pay_by. The card is always issued to the agent's OWNER, in the owner's name. If the card is over the owner's limits the owner is asked on their phone (status awaiting_owner) — then do not buy. A refusal (unknown agent, over a limit, gift cards off) is free.

Input parameters:

- `amount` (required): Face value in the card's own currency, e.g. 25 or "12.50".
- `brand` (string, required): Brand name or slug from search_gift_cards, e.g. "amazon-com".
- `country` (string, required): Country name or slug, e.g. "USA" or "Canada".

### `buy` (~96 tokens)

Pay for a quoted card

SPENDS USDC: pays the exact total of a quote to its per-order forwarder contract on Base (it can only forward to the card provider or refund the agent). Only for an order in status awaiting_payment, before pay_by, and within this server's per-payment cap. Never call twice for the same order; after any in-flight error, poll order_status instead.

Input parameters:

- `order_id` (string, required): order_id returned by quote.

### `order_status` (~80 tokens)

Order status

Free. Status of an order quoted by this server: awaiting_payment, awaiting_owner, processing, completed, expired, declined, refunded, failed or credited, plus valid_until. Never contains the card code. A card usually completes about five minutes after payment; poll every 15-30 seconds.

Input parameters:

- `order_id` (string, required): order_id returned by quote.

### `reveal_card_code` (~121 tokens)

Reveal the card code (one time)

ONE-TIME and usually unavailable. Returns the gift-card code only if the owner turned on 'Let the agent read card codes' for this agent, and only once: SpendTheBits never serves it to the agent again. The code is bearer money — only call this when the task genuinely needs the code (the owner already has the card in their app), and never repeat or log it.

Input parameters:

- `confirm_one_time` (boolean, required): Must be true: you understand the code is served once.
- `order_id` (string, required): order_id returned by quote.
