## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 80/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 68/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 667 tokens (~166/item across 4 items; 4 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 7/100
  - Stability observed for 2 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 97/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 92% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 4 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 5 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 60/100
  - Spec-recency check failed: implements MCP spec 2025-06-18; the latest is 2026-07-28.

Haystack Jobs is a hosted endpoint at https://haystackapp.io/mcp, so there is nothing to install locally. Ready-made configuration for Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and 5 more is on this page, copied from each client's own documentation.

### Claude

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http io-haystackapp-jobs 'https://haystackapp.io/mcp'
```

### Cursor

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "io-haystackapp-jobs": {
      "url": "https://haystackapp.io/mcp"
    }
The mcpServers block is a cross-client convention. Remote transports vary, so check your client's docs.
## MCP tools (4)
### `search_jobs` (~262 tokens)
Search live jobs
Search live jobs on Haystack, newest first. Filter by job title words, country, city, remote, and by what the advert says: no experience needed, no degree needed, visa sponsorship offered. Returns up to 20 jobs, each with its link, and an Auto Apply link when Haystack's AI agent can fill in and submit the employer's form.
Input parameters:
- `auto_apply_only` (boolean): Only roles Haystack's AI agent can apply to.
- `city` (string): City, e.g. 'London', 'New York', 'Toronto'.
- `country` (string): Country name or code, e.g. 'United States', 'UK', 'Canada', 'Germany'.
- `limit` (integer)
- `no_degree` (boolean): Only roles whose advert says no degree is needed (or asks for a high school diploma or equivalent).
- `no_experience` (boolean): Only roles whose advert says no experience is needed or training is provided.
- `query` (string): Words in the job title, e.g. 'product manager', 'nurse', 'data analyst'.
- `remote` (boolean): Only remote roles.
- `visa_sponsorship` (boolean): Only roles whose advert says the employer offers visa sponsorship.
### `get_job` (~89 tokens)
Get a job
One job's details by its Haystack id: title, employer, location, pay, work mode, skills, what the advert says (no experience, no degree, visa sponsorship), the description, and facts about applying to that employer from Haystack's data (reply rate, time to reply, form questions) when known.
Input parameters:
- `job_id` (string, required): The job's id from search_jobs.
### `employer_facts` (~95 tokens)
Employer facts
What Haystack knows about applying to an employer: live roles, the share of applications that got a reply, the median time to the first reply, how many fields its form has and the questions it asks. Pass no company to get the employers most likely to reply to an application.
Input parameters:
- `company` (string): Employer name, e.g. 'Monzo', 'Stripe'. Leave out for the employers most likely to reply.
### `application_system_facts` (~66 tokens)
Application system facts
Facts about an application system (ATS) from applications Haystack's AI agent sent: how many fields its forms have, the questions they ask most, and how fast employers on it reply. Without a system, the overall figures.
Input parameters:
- `system` (string): The application system.
