## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-18.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 98/100
  - No malware found by supply-chain analysis.
  - No known CVEs affecting this package version or its production dependencies.
  - No install/post-install scripts declared.
  - 31 of 94 dependencies flagged as unhealthy.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 32/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Provenance check failed: no build-provenance attestation is published.
  - License check failed: the license ((MIT AND CC-BY-4.0)) isn't a recognized OSI-approved license.
  - Actively maintained (last published 4 days ago).
  - Disclosure check failed: no security disclosure policy was found in the source repository.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 73/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 785 tokens (~130/item across 6 items; 6 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 0/100
  - Stability not yet verified: not enough scan history yet (needs a 30-day window).
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 6 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 7 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

**Unverified: 1 category.** A category scored 0 because we could not verify it: a data source with nothing on this package, evidence we could not reach, or a check we could not run. We only credit what we can confirm.

## MCP tools (6)

### `parse_product_title` (~157 tokens)

Parse a gun or ammo product title

Parse a firearm or ammunition product title from any store into structured data: firearm or ammo, brand, model (50 brands, e.g. 'Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS'), calibers, magazine capacity, barrel length in inches, rounds per box and, with a price, cost per round. Also returns GunsNPrices pages to compare current prices.

Input parameters:

- `brand` (string): Manufacturer, if known (helps when the title doesn't name it)
- `price` (number): Listing price in USD; for ammo it gives cost per round
- `title` (string, required): Product title as a store shows it, e.g. 'Glock 19 Gen5 MOS 9mm 4.02in 15rd'

### `identify_firearm_model` (~157 tokens)

Identify a firearm model

Identify the brand, model family and exact model of a firearm from a title or a short description (e.g. 'G19 Gen5 MOS', 'Sig P365 XL', 'S&W M&P Shield Plus'). Covers 50 brands including Glock, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Springfield, Beretta, Taurus, Mossberg, Remington, Savage and Henry. Glock part numbers (e.g. PA195S203) are decoded too. Returns GunsNPrices pages for the model, its family and the brand.

Input parameters:

- `brand` (string): Manufacturer, if known
- `mpn` (string): Manufacturer part number, if known
- `title` (string, required): Firearm title or description

### `lookup_caliber` (~103 tokens)

Look up a caliber

Normalize a caliber or cartridge name ('9mm Luger', '5.56 NATO', '300 BLK', '12ga', '6.5 CM') or find every caliber mentioned in a text. Returns the standard name, type (handgun, rifle, rimfire, shotgun, airgun, muzzleloader) and the GunsNPrices page comparing ammo prices for it.

Input parameters:

- `query` (string, required): Caliber name or any text that mentions calibers

### `cost_per_round` (~102 tokens)

Ammo cost per round

Compute the cost per round of an ammo listing from its price and round count. If the round count is not given, it is read from the title ('50/Box', '1,000 Rounds', 'Box of 20', '20/25').

Input parameters:

- `price` (number, required): Price in USD
- `rounds` (integer): Rounds in the package
- `title` (string): Ammo title, used to read the round count and caliber

### `find_price_comparison_pages` (~108 tokens)

Find GunsNPrices price comparison pages

Find GunsNPrices pages that compare current prices across 40+ US gun and ammo stores for a firearm model, brand or caliber, e.g. 'Glock 19', 'Sig Sauer P365', 'Ruger', '9mm ammo', '6.5 Creedmoor'. Use it when the user asks where to buy a gun or ammo, or where it is cheapest. Returns the most specific pages first.

Input parameters:

- `query` (string, required): Model, brand or caliber

### `list_supported` (~56 tokens)

List supported brands or calibers

List the 50 firearm brands with model recognition, or the 293 known calibers (optionally of one type).

Input parameters:

- `caliber_type` (string): Only calibers of this type
- `what` (string, required): What to list
