## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-25.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 98/100
  - No malware found by supply-chain analysis.
  - No known CVEs affecting this package version or its production dependencies.
  - No install/post-install scripts declared.
  - 30 of 95 dependencies flagged as unhealthy.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 100/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Cryptographically verified build provenance (signed, bound to GuardBee/guardbee-mcp).
  - Clear OSI-approved license (MIT).
  - Actively maintained (last published 2 days ago).
  - Publishes a security disclosure policy (SECURITY.md).
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 69/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Tool/resource definitions use about 316 tokens (~105/item across 3 items; 3 tools + 0 resources), lean.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 33/100
  - Stability observed for 10 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 96/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 89% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 3 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 3 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

## MCP tools (3)

### `scan_document` (~168 tokens)

Find PII (TC Kimlik No, IBAN, card, passport, e-mail, phone, address…) and credentials inside a PDF, an image (screenshot, scanned page) or a text file on disk, before it is given to an LLM. PDFs are read from their text layer; images and scanned pages with OCR (Turkish and English).

Input parameters:

- `include` (array): Opt-in detectors: ip_address, mac_address, plate_tr
- `languages` (array): Tesseract languages, default ["tur", "eng"]
- `ocr` (boolean): OCR images and PDF pages without a text layer (default true; needs tesseract.js)
- `path` (string, required): Path to a file, or a folder to scan every PDF and image in it

### `scan_base64` (~128 tokens)

Scan a document given as base64 (an attachment, an image a tool returned) for PII and credentials. The type is detected from the bytes.

Input parameters:

- `data` (string, required): Base64 bytes (a data: URL prefix is allowed)
- `include` (array): Opt-in detectors: ip_address, mac_address, plate_tr
- `label` (string)
- `languages` (array): Tesseract languages, default ["tur", "eng"]
- `ocr` (boolean): OCR images and PDF pages without a text layer (default true; needs tesseract.js)

### `list_detectors` (~20 tokens)

List the PII and credential detectors this scanner runs

The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the io.github.GuardBee/document-scanner MCP server expose?

io.github.GuardBee/document-scanner exposes 3 tools: scan_document, scan_base64, list_detectors. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 316 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Is the io.github.GuardBee/document-scanner MCP server still maintained?

io.github.GuardBee/document-scanner is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 25 October 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
