## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-07.

- **Endpoint Security**: 89/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - Authorisation is enforced on tool calls, but the challenge carries no valid RFC 9728 metadata, so a client cannot discover where to get a token.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 64/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 1057 tokens (~211/item across 5 items; 5 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 67/100
  - Stability observed for 20 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 5 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 6 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

Look up Common Procurement Vocabulary codes by English keywords or browse by code prefix. Call this before search_tenders when the user describes a subject rather than giving codes.

Input parameters:

- `limit` (integer): Maximum codes to return. Default 20.
- `query` (string, required): English keywords describing the subject (for example "software consultancy"), or a numeric code prefix such as 4523 to browse a branch.

Search public procurement notices from TED and national portals by CPV code, buyer country, status, dates, estimated value and title. Returns a page of tenders with links to the official notices.

Input parameters:

- `buyerCountries` (null|array): ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country codes of the buyer, for example AUT, DEU, SVN.
- `buyerName` (string): Part of the buying organisation's name.

- `currency` (string): Currency of minValue and maxValue. Default EUR.
- `cursor` (string): page.nextCursor from the previous call. Filters must stay identical.
- `deadlineFrom` (string): Earliest submission deadline, YYYY-MM-DD or RFC3339. Set to today's date to exclude expired tenders.
- `deadlineUntil` (string): Latest submission deadline, YYYY-MM-DD or RFC3339. A plain date includes the whole day.
- `limit` (integer): Results per page, 1-50. Default 10.
- `maxValue` (null|number): Maximum estimated contract value in currency.
- `minValue` (null|number): Minimum estimated contract value in currency.
- `publishedFrom` (string): Earliest publication date, YYYY-MM-DD or RFC3339.
- `publishedUntil` (string): Latest publication date, YYYY-MM-DD or RFC3339.
- `query` (string): Substring matched against the tender title. Titles are written in the buyer's national language, so prefer cpvCodes plus buyerCountries for topic searches.
- `serviceTypes` (null|array): Contract nature.
- `sortBy` (string): Sort field. Default publicationDate.
- `sortOrder` (string): Sort direction. Defaults: publicationDate desc, deadline asc, estimatedValue desc.
- `sources` (null|array): Portals to include. Default is all.
- `statuses` (null|array): Tender statuses. open means not yet awarded or cancelled; combine with deadlineFrom to find tenders that still accept bids.

Output parameters:

- `page` (object)
- `tenders` (null|array)

## Common questions

### What is the TenderAPI MCP server?

TenderAPI is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as eu.tenderapi/tenderapi. Search EU public tenders from TED and national portals by CPV code, country, buyer or value. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://api.tenderapi.eu/mcp).

### Is the TenderAPI MCP server safe to use?

TenderAPI scores 85 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the TenderAPI MCP server expose?

TenderAPI exposes 5 tools: get_organisation_tenders, get_tender, search_cpv_codes, search_organisations, search_tenders. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 821 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the TenderAPI MCP server require authentication?

Yes. TenderAPI asked us for credentials when we connected, so you will need to authorise it in your MCP client before it can do anything.

### Is the TenderAPI MCP server still maintained?

TenderAPI is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 7 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.

### What did VerifyMCP test on the TenderAPI MCP server?

VerifyMCP ran 13 checks on TenderAPI, covering TLS certificate, Authorization, HTTPS, HSTS header and 9 more. Supply Chain Security and Provenance & Transparency do not apply to a hosted endpoint, so they were not tested. The score does not measure everything, and the scoring documentation lists what it leaves out.
