## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-08-03.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 87/100
  - No malware found by supply-chain analysis.
  - Only part of the dependency tree could be resolved (113 of 117), so this covers what we could see, not the whole tree.
  - No install/post-install scripts declared.
  - Only part of the dependency tree could be resolved (113 of 117), so this covers what we could see, not the whole tree.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 45/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Provenance check failed: no build-provenance attestation is published.
  - Clear OSI-approved license (MIT).
  - Actively maintained (last published 18 days ago).
  - Disclosure check failed: no security disclosure policy was found in the source repository.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 66/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 612 tokens (~153/item across 4 items; 4 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 27/100
  - Stability observed for 8 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 97/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 90% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

## Changelog

Every change recorded for this component, newest first. Days that predate change tracking, or that we cannot explain, say so: "we were watching and nothing happened" and "we were not watching" are different claims.

### 2026-08-03 (score 67, +1)

No change was recorded against any check on this day. Stability & Change Management went from 23 to 27. That category is still filling its 30-day observation window: 7 days of observed history at the previous scan, 8 at this one. The score rises as the window fills, whether or not the server changes.

### 2026-08-02 (score 66, +41)

- [security improvement] Known CVEs: unverified → partial
- [security improvement] Install scripts: unverified → pass

### 2026-08-01 (score 25, +5)

- [security] Stability: Stability not yet verified: not enough scan history yet (needs a 30-day window).
- [functional improvement] MCP protocol: unverified → pass

### 2026-07-31 (score 20, −25)

- [functional] We updated how we score, so this day's move reflects our rubric, not a change to the server

## MCP tools (4)

### `get_template_requirements` (~58 tokens)

Get the required field keys and layout definition of an existing HashProof template. Free, no auth. Always call this before issuing with a template_slug you didn't create in this session.

Input parameters:

- `template_ref` (string, required): Template slug or UUID

### `preview_template` (~294 tokens)

Render a watermarked preview PDF from an INLINE template definition — free, nothing stored, no payment. Use this to iterate field positions (x, y, width, font_size) until the layout is right, then show the final PDF to the human for approval before issuing. page_width/page_height MUST match the background image's pixel dimensions. The PDF is written to a local file; if you can read PDFs, inspect it and adjust yourself.

Input parameters:

- `background_url` (string): Public URL of the background image (PNG/JPG). There is no upload endpoint — the image must already be hosted (own site/CDN, GitHub raw URL, S3/R2, Cloudinary...). Tell the human this upfront. Share l…
- `fields_json` (array, required): Field definitions, e.g. [{"key":"holder_name","x":248,"y":1200,"width":3012,"font_size":192,"align":"center"}]
- `locale` (string)
- `output_path` (string): Where to save the PDF (default: temp file)
- `page_height` (number, required): Page height in px — must match the background image
- `page_width` (number, required): Page width in px — must match the background image
- `values` (object, required): Sample values, e.g. {"holder_name":"Jane Doe"}

### `issue_credential` (~192 tokens)

Issue a verifiable credential — COSTS $0.10 USDC (x402) or 1 API-key credit per call. Get explicit human approval before calling. Requires HASHPROOF_API_KEY or HASHPROOF_WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY in the MCP server env (if neither is set, the error explains how to set up a dedicated wallet). The body follows the HashProof issueCredential schema: issuer{display_name,slug}, platform{display_name,slug}, holder{full_name}, context{type, title}, credential_type, title, values{...}, and optionally template_slug OR an inline template{...} (send only one). Returns id, verification_url, tx_hash and ipfs_cid. Full reference: https://hashproof.dev/skill.md

Input parameters:

- `body` (object, required): Full issueCredential request body (see https://hashproof.dev/skill.md for the schema)

### `verify_credential` (~68 tokens)

Verify an issued credential against three independent sources (database, IPFS, blockchain). Free, no auth. Returns status (active/revoked/expired/not_found), issuer verification and the credential data.

Input parameters:

- `id` (string, required): Credential id (UUID) from issuance or from a verification URL
