## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 80/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 76/100
  - 100% of prompts and resources have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the item's name).
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 1452 tokens (~121/item across 12 items; 8 tools + 4 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 63/100
  - Stability observed for 19 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 84/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 44% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 8 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 10 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 73/100
  - Spec-recency check failed: implements MCP spec 2025-06-18; the latest is 2026-07-28.
  - Supports UI / widget rendering.

## MCP tools (8)

### `search_public_tenders` (~598 tokens)

Search public tenders

Search published tender notices by text, country, sector, category, CPV prefix, status, buyer, deadline window, estimated value and place. Returns compact hits with canonical citations, 20 per page by default (limit up to 50); read get_public_tender for notice text, facts, related notices and history. total counts notices and procedures counts them once per procedure where one is published on several portals; read each nextPage before calling a list complete. q matches every word, in the source language or the visitor copy, with or without accents; words of five or more letters also match longer compounds. For broad needs prefer sectors or cpv over category IDs, and add q keywords. sort deadline orders date-only deadlines by their day. A zero result can mean no coverage, a narrow filter or different wording: widen filters or try source-language keywords before concluding nothing exists.

Input parameters:

- `buyer` (string)
- `categories` (array)
- `countries` (array)
- `cpv` (array): CPV code prefixes, such as 45 (construction work) or 72 (IT services). Matches notices whose source lists such a code.
- `currency` (string): Currency of valueMin and valueMax, such as CHF or EUR. Only notices stating an estimated value in this currency match; amounts are not converted.
- `deadlineFrom` (string): Earliest submission deadline: an ISO date (from its start, UTC) or a time with a timezone. Date-only deadlines count as the end of their day.
- `deadlineTo` (string): Latest submission deadline: an ISO date (to its end, UTC) or a time with a timezone. Notices without a deadline are excluded once either bound is set.
- `limit` (integer)
- `locale` (string)
- `page` (integer)
- `place` (string): Part of the place of performance or buyer location as published, such as Genève or Zürich. Spelling matters; many notices name only a region.
- `q` (string)
- `sectors` (array): Broad sectors grouping every category and CPV code, such as construction or it-telecoms. Prefer this to category IDs for broad needs.
- `sort` (string)
- `statuses` (array): Omit for active statuses (open, closing-soon, upcoming, unconfirmed). An explicit empty array includes all statuses. closing-soon is an open notice whose deadline is within 7 days (168 hours); a pass…
- `valueMax` (number): Highest estimated value; needs currency.
- `valueMin` (number): Lowest estimated value; needs currency.
- `view` (string): compact returns what is needed to choose and cite a notice; full returns whole records (notice text, facts, history), at most 20 per page.

Output parameters:

- `filters` (object)
- `items` (array)
- `limit` (integer)
- `locale` (string)
- `nextPage` (integer|null)
- `page` (integer)
- `total` (integer)
- `url` (string)

### `get_public_tender` (~210 tokens)

Read a public tender

Read a published notice, source-backed facts, available requirements, original source, related notices and history. Missing information is explicitly unavailable. status is the effective status shown to visitors; recordedStatus is the reviewed status; sourceStatus is what the source portal states. sourceCheckedAt is when the original source was last read; modifiedAt is when this record last changed. stale true means a newer source version awaits republication; stale false does not mean that every portal publishing the procedure agrees. related lists notices that look like the same procedure elsewhere or an earlier or later version, with their deadlines: compare them, prefer the latest official change notice, and check the submission platform before relying on a deadline. history holds the latest revisions (historyTotal counts all; pass historyNextBefore as historyBefore for older ones).

Input parameters:

- `historyBefore` (integer): Continue history before this revision; pass historyNextBefore.
- `historyLimit` (integer)
- `id` (string, required)
- `locale` (string)

Output parameters:

- `country` (string)
- `deadline` (object)
- `id` (string)
- `locale` (string)
- `modifiedAt` (string)
- `originalSource` (object)
- `recordedStatus` (string)
- `revision` (integer)
- `sourceCheckedAt` (string)
- `sourceStatus` (string)
- `sources` (array)
- `stale` (boolean)
- `status` (string)
- `summary` (string)
- `title` (string)
- `url` (string)

### `get_public_tender_facets` (~113 tokens)

Get tender filters

Discover published country IDs, all statuses, sectors and category IDs. Categories come 100 at a time, those with most notices first, each with its notice count; pass categoryQuery, such as road construction, to find matching ones and nextCategoryOffset as categoryOffset for more. categoriesTotal counts every match. Sectors group all categories and CPV codes; prefer sectors for broad needs.

Input parameters:

- `categoryOffset` (integer)
- `categoryQuery` (string)
- `locale` (string)

Output parameters:

- `categories` (array)
- `categoriesTotal` (integer)
- `countries` (array)
- `locale` (string)
- `statuses` (array)

### `list_public_tender_changes` (~216 tokens)

List tender changes

List published notice changes in change order, with the kind of event, changed fields and a continuation cursor. Filter by countries, sources, sectors and events, and bound the window with since and until. A revision is a Zephior version, not an official amendment: event source_changed means a new source version was read, corrected a Zephior correction.

Input parameters:

- `countries` (array)
- `cursor` (string): Pass nextCursor from the previous response to continue where it stopped.
- `events` (array)
- `limit` (integer)
- `locale` (string)
- `sectors` (array)
- `since` (string): Earliest change time with a timezone. Without a cursor or since, the feed starts seven days ago.
- `sources` (array): Source IDs from list_public_tender_sources, such as ted-europa.
- `until` (string): Exclusive end of the window, with a timezone. With since and until, paging with nextCursor reads one closed window completely.

Output parameters:

- `items` (array)
- `locale` (string)
- `nextCursor` (string|null)

### `list_public_tender_sources` (~41 tokens)

List tender sources

List the procurement sources behind published notices, with names, official portals, notice counts, countries and when each source was last checked (null when unknown).

Output parameters:

- `sources` (array)

### `get_zephior_overview` (~53 tokens)

Get Zephior overview

Use this read-only tool to identify Zephior, compare Ziva and Zelius and find canonical contact or developer resources.

Input parameters:

- `locale` (string): Authored response language. Defaults to English.

Output parameters:

- `contact` (object)
- `description` (string)
- `locale` (string)
- `name` (string)
- `services` (array)
- `url` (string)

### `search_zephior_resources` (~66 tokens)

Search Zephior resources

Use this read-only tool to find relevant Zephior articles, guides, comparisons, industry briefs and glossary resources by the user task, decision or topic they answer.

Input parameters:

- `limit` (integer)
- `locale` (string)
- `query` (string, required)

Output parameters:

- `count` (integer)
- `locale` (string)
- `query` (string)
- `results` (array)

### `get_zephior_document` (~46 tokens)

Get a Zephior document

Use this read-only tool to retrieve one canonical public document covering service selection, developer integration or current pricing.

Input parameters:

- `document` (string, required): The canonical public document to retrieve.

Output parameters:

- `content` (string)
- `document` (string)
- `title` (string)
- `url` (string)

## Common questions

### What is the Zephior Discovery MCP server?

Zephior Discovery is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.zephior/discovery. Search, follow and read published public tender notices with sources, plus Zephior resources. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://mcp.zephior.com/mcp).

### Is the Zephior Discovery MCP server safe to use?

Zephior Discovery scores 80 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Zephior Discovery MCP server expose?

Zephior Discovery exposes 8 tools: search_public_tenders, get_public_tender, get_public_tender_facets, list_public_tender_changes, list_public_tender_sources, and 3 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 1,343 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the Zephior Discovery MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to Zephior Discovery without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the Zephior Discovery MCP server still maintained?

Zephior Discovery is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
