## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 46/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - Authorisation not fully verified: no authorisation is required to call this server, and 7 tool(s) never declared a destructiveHint. The MCP spec treats an absent hint as destructive by default, so we cannot call this surface safe.
  - HTTPS enforcement could not be verified: the plaintext port answered with HTTP 405, which proves neither a plaintext path nor enforcement.
  - HSTS check failed: the Strict-Transport-Security header is absent.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 64/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Tool/resource definitions use about 429 tokens (~61/item across 7 items; 7 tools + 0 resources), lean.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 80/100
  - Stability observed for 24 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 78/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 33% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 7 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 8 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 60/100
  - Spec-recency check failed: implements MCP spec 2025-06-18; the latest is 2026-07-28.

The mcpServers block is a cross-client convention. Remote transports vary, so check your client's docs.

## MCP tools (7)

### `search_stations` (~65 tokens)

Find night train stations by name and/or ISO country code. Returns id, name, country, coordinates and the night train lines calling there.

Input parameters:

- `country` (string): ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, e.g. SE
- `query` (string)

### `get_station` (~59 tokens)

All published facts for one station (lockers, toilets, showers, waiting room at night, step-free access...), each with source and observation date, plus facts not known yet.

Input parameters:

- `id` (string, required): Station id or slug from search_stations

### `list_lines` (~23 tokens)

All European night train lines: id, name, operator, booking URL.

### `get_line` (~49 tokens)

All published facts for one night train line (power sockets, bikes, pets, food on board, booking window...) with source and date, and its stations in order.

Input parameters:

- `id` (string, required)

### `facts_by_key` (~47 tokens)

One fact across all stations or lines, e.g. key "shower" for every station with a known shower. Use fact_keys for the list.

Input parameters:

- `key` (string, required)

### `punctuality` (~107 tokens)

How late night trains really arrive, per train, counted every night by us from Fintraffic and Trafikverket open data: on-time share (within 5 minutes at the last stop), median and 90th percentile delay, cancellations. Filter by line id, train number or country (FI, SE).

Input parameters:

- `country` (string)
- `days` (integer): 7 to 365, default 365
- `line` (string)
- `train` (string)

### `fact_keys` (~20 tokens)

Every fact key with its type, allowed values and label.

## Common questions

### What is the Your Travel Radar MCP server?

Your Travel Radar is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.yourtravelradar/night-trains. Dated, sourced facts on European night train stations and lines, and measured punctuality. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://yourtravelradar.com/mcp).

### Is the Your Travel Radar MCP server safe to use?

Your Travel Radar scores 66 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Your Travel Radar MCP server expose?

Your Travel Radar exposes 7 tools: search_stations, get_station, list_lines, get_line, facts_by_key, and 2 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 370 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the Your Travel Radar MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to Your Travel Radar without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the Your Travel Radar MCP server still maintained?

Your Travel Radar is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.

### What did VerifyMCP test on the Your Travel Radar MCP server?

VerifyMCP ran 11 checks on Your Travel Radar, covering TLS certificate, HSTS header, DNSSEC, Transport and 7 more. 2 items could not be completed, a gap on our side rather than a finding about Your Travel Radar: Authorization and HTTPS. Supply Chain Security and Provenance & Transparency do not apply to a hosted endpoint, so they were not tested. The score does not measure everything, and the scoring documentation lists what it leaves out.
