## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-23.

- **Endpoint Security**: 57/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - Authorisation not fully verified: no authorisation is required to call this server, and 1 tool(s) never declared a destructiveHint. The MCP spec treats an absent hint as destructive by default, so we cannot call this surface safe.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - HSTS check failed: the Strict-Transport-Security header is absent.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 72/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 548 tokens (~182/item across 3 items; 3 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 77/100
  - Stability observed for 23 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 92/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 75% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 3 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 4 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

## MCP tools (3)

### `submit_lookup` (~137 tokens)

Submit a weather-records lookup

Start a weather-records lookup for one U.S. street address and date. Returns a lookup_id; the records are ready in about two minutes -- call get_lookup with it. Records reach back to about 1960. Records, not opinions: nothing returned is a determination about any property. Each accepted lookup uses one of the key's 10 free lookups this month.

Input parameters:

- `address` (string, required): Full U.S. street address with city, state and ZIP, e.g. 123 Main St, Nashville, TN 37203
- `date` (string, required): The date of interest, YYYY-MM-DD

### `get_lookup` (~94 tokens)

Get a lookup's status and records

Check a lookup started with submit_lookup. The status is queued, running, done or failed. When done, the result holds the records with their provenance and a notice. A failed lookup carries a reason and no records. The absence of a record is not evidence that an event did not occur. Results are kept for 30 days.

Input parameters:

- `lookup_id` (string, required): The lookup_id from submit_lookup

### `get_forecast` (~160 tokens)

Get the current National Weather Service forecast

Returns the current National Weather Service forecast for a US point. This is a forecast, not a record of observed weather. Send latitude and longitude (no key needed), or a U.S. street address (needs the free key). Returns 12-hour periods for about seven days and hourly values, with issued_utc, the time the National Weather Service issued it, and a stale flag. U.S. coverage only.

Input parameters:

- `address` (string): Full U.S. street address with city, state and ZIP (needs the free key)
- `hours` (integer): Hourly values to return
- `latitude` (number)
- `longitude` (number)
- `periods` (integer): 12-hour periods to return
