## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 74/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Nothing on it is marked destructive, but we can't show that an anonymous caller can only read: full credit needs the server to list at least one tool and every tool to be verifiably read-only. We use a best-effort check of tool names and descriptions to tell read-only tools from tools that change things, so some genuinely read-only tools may not get full credit. Names that start with a read verb (get, list, read, search and similar) and accurate readOnlyHint annotations help. Meet that to earn full credit, or require authorisation.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - HSTS check failed: the Strict-Transport-Security header is absent.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 76/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 1494 tokens (~124/item across 12 items; 12 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 100/100
  - No destabilizing schema changes in the last 30 days.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - All 1 tool(s) whose name or description implies an irreversible operation declare an MCP destructiveHint annotation.
  - An AI judge read all 12 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

## MCP tools (12)

### `check_connection` (~278 tokens)

Check connection

Sends one request through the service from TrueProxies and reports the outcome and exit IP, to tell a proxy problem apart from a website refusing you. It counts as use of the service: it uses a little traffic and starts an unused free trial. Does not measure speed. Limited to a few checks a minute.

Input parameters:

- `asn` (string): ASN digits without the AS prefix, if the service supports ASN targeting
- `city` (string): City in lowercase letters, digits and underscores, if the service supports city targeting
- `country` (string): Two-letter country code, if the service supports country targeting
- `lifetime` (integer): Sticky session lifetime in seconds, only with session sticky: 60 to 86400, or from 1 when the service has session_lifetime_seconds, and whole minutes on Residential IPv4 Unlimited and Unlimited Pro
- `protocol` (string): http, https or socks5
- `region` (string): Region code, if the service supports region targeting
- `service_id` (string, required): Service ID (a UUID) from list_services
- `session` (string): Session type. sticky (Sticky) reuses an IP while available, for the session lifetime. rotate (Rotating) requests a new IP per connection, and the same IP can appear again. none uses the service defau…

### `generate_endpoints` (~346 tokens)

Generate endpoints

Builds proxy connection lines for a service with the chosen protocol, format, location targeting and session type: one line, or up to 1,000 sticky sessions with session sticky. Does not change the service. The output contains the proxy username and password, which let anyone who has them use the service.

Input parameters:

- `asn` (string): ASN digits without the AS prefix, if the service supports ASN targeting
- `city` (string): City in lowercase letters, digits and underscores, if the service supports city targeting
- `count` (integer): With session sticky, how many sticky sessions to return, 1 to 1000. Other session types return one line.
- `country` (string): Two-letter country code, if the service supports country targeting
- `format` (string): Line format: host:port:user:pass (default), user:pass@host:port, user:pass, host:port, url or curl

### `get_account` (~32 tokens)

Get your account

Returns the TrueProxies account that owns the API key: account reference, email, role, status and billing details.

### `get_invoice` (~48 tokens)

Get an invoice

Returns one invoice: status, amounts in cents, payment attempts and its service. Does not start a payment.

Input parameters:

- `invoice_id` (string, required): Invoice ID (a UUID) from list_invoices

### `get_live_traffic` (~69 tokens)

Get live traffic

Returns live traffic for one service: download and upload speed in bits per second over the last ten seconds, traffic used today (UTC) and recent connection outcomes. last_activity_at shows how fresh the data is.

Input parameters:

- `service_id` (string, required): Service ID (a UUID) from list_services

### `get_service` (~59 tokens)

Get a service

Returns one service: status, expiry, connection hosts and ports, capabilities (the targeting and session options it supports) and effective limits. Does not return the proxy password.

Input parameters:

- `service_id` (string, required): Service ID (a UUID) from list_services

### `get_traffic_used` (~91 tokens)

Get traffic used and remaining

Returns traffic for one service, in bytes: bytes_out is downloaded and bytes_in is uploaded since the service started, remaining_bytes is traffic remaining and allowance_bytes is the allowance. traffic_batches lists traffic packs; traffic bought now never expires, and only older packs carry an expiry. Traffic can take about a minute to appear.

Input parameters:

- `service_id` (string, required): Service ID (a UUID) from list_services

### `get_usage_history` (~109 tokens)

Get usage history

Returns usage history for one service, or for the whole account when service_id is empty: connection success, traffic and connection errors over the last 24h, 7d or 30d. In series, bytes_out is downloaded and bytes_in is uploaded. Can lag recent traffic.

Input parameters:

- `range` (string): 24h, 7d or 30d
- `service_id` (string): Service ID (a UUID) from list_services. Leave empty for the whole account.

### `list_invoices` (~130 tokens)

List invoices

Lists invoices with status (open, paid or cancelled), kind, amount in cents and the service each belongs to. Paginated: pass next_cursor from the previous response as cursor.

Input parameters:

- `cursor` (string): next_cursor from the previous page
- `kind` (string): purchase, renewal, topup, upgrade, custom, wallet_topup or white_label
- `limit` (integer): Page size, 1 to 100. Default 25.
- `service_id` (string): Only invoices for this service ID (a UUID)
- `status` (string): open, paid or cancelled

### `list_plans` (~190 tokens)

List plans and prices

Lists TrueProxies plans and traffic packs: price in US cents, term, speed, connection limits, traffic allowance and targeting capabilities. Also returns the cities available for city targeting and whether the free trial is open. Traffic packs (residential_ipv4_gb, residential_ipv4_premium, residential_ipv4_lite) have no term, and their traffic never expires. Static ISP (isp_dedicated) is priced per IP for each carrier, named in display_name. No API key needed.

Input parameters:

- `product` (string): Only this product: residential_ipv4_gb, residential_ipv4_premium, residential_ipv4_lite, residential_ipv4_unlimited, residential_ipv4_unlimited_pro, isp_dedicated, residential_ipv6 or datacenter_ipv6
- `term` (string): Only this billing term: hour, day, week or month. Traffic packs have no term.

### `list_services` (~98 tokens)

List your services

Lists the services on the account with status, product, plan, expiry and connection hosts. Paginated: pass next_cursor from the previous response as cursor.

Input parameters:

- `cursor` (string): next_cursor from the previous page
- `limit` (integer): Page size, 1 to 100. Default 25.
- `view` (string): current (default) lists every service that is not closed; history lists closed services; all lists both

### `list_trusted_ips` (~44 tokens)

List whitelisted IPs

Lists the IP whitelist of a service: addresses allowed to connect without the proxy password.

Input parameters:

- `service_id` (string, required): Service ID (a UUID) from list_services

## Common questions

### What is the TrueProxies MCP server?

TrueProxies is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.trueproxies/mcp. Plans, services, usage, invoices, endpoints and connection checks for your TrueProxies account. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://mcp.trueproxies.com/mcp).

### Is the TrueProxies MCP server safe to use?

TrueProxies scores 85 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the TrueProxies MCP server expose?

TrueProxies exposes 12 tools: check_connection, generate_endpoints, get_account, get_invoice, get_live_traffic, and 7 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 1,494 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the TrueProxies MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to TrueProxies without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the TrueProxies MCP server still maintained?

TrueProxies is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.

### What did VerifyMCP test on the TrueProxies MCP server?

VerifyMCP ran 13 checks on TrueProxies, covering TLS certificate, Authorization, HTTPS, HSTS header and 9 more. Supply Chain Security and Provenance & Transparency do not apply to a hosted endpoint, so they were not tested. The score does not measure everything, and the scoring documentation lists what it leaves out.
