## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 80/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 63/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 1733 tokens (~192/item across 9 items; 9 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 13/100
  - Stability observed for 4 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - All 1 tool(s) whose name or description implies an irreversible operation declare an MCP destructiveHint annotation.
  - An AI judge read all 10 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

The mcpServers block is a cross-client convention. Remote transports vary, so check your client's docs.

## Changelog

Every change recorded for this component, newest first. Days that predate change tracking, or that we cannot explain, say so: "we were watching and nothing happened" and "we were not watching" are different claims.

### 2026-11-04 (score 73, +9)

- [security improvement] Authorization: unverified → partial
- [functional] Destructive annotations: All 1 tool(s) whose name or description implies an irreversible operation declare an MCP destructiveHint annotation.

### 2026-11-03 (score 64, +1)

No change was recorded against any check on this day. Stability & Change Management went from 3 to 7. That category is still filling its 30-day observation window: 1 days of observed history at the previous scan, 2 at this one. The score rises as the window fills, whether or not the server changes.

### 2026-11-02 (score 63, 0)

- [functional improvement] Stability: unverified → 0.03

## MCP tools (9)

### `list_services` (~59 tokens)

List services

The services sold online with their unit, whether get_quote can price them, their "from" price in every currency (VAT included where it applies), the currencies, speeds and certifications get_quote accepts, the volume discount tiers and what counts as a page.

### `list_languages` (~29 tokens)

List languages

The language codes get_quote and create_order accept, each with the country whose sworn translators serve the language.

### `list_countries` (~84 tokens)

List countries

ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country codes for country_of_use (where the translation will be used) and customer_country (where the customer is, which decides VAT), each with whether it is in the Hague Apostille Convention, whether sworn translations are offered for it, and whether document notarisation and apostille are priced online, quoted, or not offered there.

### `get_coverage` (~74 tokens)

Service coverage

Where each service is available: the languages and certifications of certified translation and the countries whose authorities ask for each; the countries document notarisation and apostille & legalisation are offered for, with their routes, formats and turnaround, and whether each is priced online or quoted. Anywhere else is a quote request through the order form.

### `send_document` (~269 tokens)

Send a document

Sends a document to be translated (PDF, image or Office file, up to 25 MB): a file the user attached in chat as `document`, a public https `url`, or `content_base64` with its filename when you hold the bytes yourself. It is measured the way the order form measures an upload; the response carries the billable pages and a file_token to pass to get_quote and create_order, valid for 24 hours and one order. If none of these is possible, create the order from the customer's page count and they upload the document at the status_url after paying.

Input parameters:

- `content_base64` (string): The document's bytes encoded as base64, when you hold the file rather than a URL or an attachment. Send filename with it.
- `document` (object): A file the user attached in the chat, passed as the host provides it. Use this for attachments; omit url and content_base64.
- `filename` (string): The document's filename with its extension, e.g. birth-certificate.pdf; required with content_base64.
- `url` (string): A public https URL of the document, ending in its extension, e.g. https://files.example.com/birth-certificate.pdf. Omit when sending document or content_base64.

### `get_quote` (~306 tokens)

Get a quote

The price of a certified translation for a language pair, page count (or the documents sent with send_document), speed, certification and currency: the same calculator as checkout, with the ex-VAT lines, the VAT and the total, every certification the pair offers with its total, a delivery estimate and the order_url for the website checkout.

Input parameters:

- `certification` (string): Omit for standard; the response lists every option the pair offers with its total.
- `country_of_use` (string): ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code of the country the translation is for, e.g. ES for a sworn translation for Spain.
- `currency` (string): The currency to quote in; each is its own price sheet. Defaults to GBP.
- `customer_country` (string): ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code of the customer's country. Outside GB no VAT is charged.
- `file_tokens` (array): Tokens from send_document for the documents to translate.
- `quantity` (integer): Pages to translate (a page is up to 250 words). Optional when file_tokens are given: the documents are measured instead, and a quantity can only raise the measured count.
- `source_language` (string, required): Source language code from list_languages, e.g. en-gb
- `speed` (string): standard, next_day (+25%) or same_day (+100%)
- `target_language` (string, required): Target language code from list_languages, e.g. es

### `create_order` (~488 tokens)

Create an unpaid order

Places an unpaid order for the customer from the same arguments as get_quote plus their name, email and E.164 phone. The response carries signed links: pay_url is our payment page (card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay) to give the customer, status_url shows the order and collects any missing documents. Links last 48 hours. A customer whose email already has an account receives the links by email instead, and the response says so: tell them to check their inbox. Documents can be sent first with send_document, or uploaded by the customer at the status_url after paying when you create the order from a page count. Pass idempotency_key so a retry never places a second order.

- `email` (string, required): The customer's email address
- `file_tokens` (array): Tokens from send_document for the documents to translate.
- `idempotency_key` (string): Your own unique key for this order attempt; a retry with the same key within a day returns the order already placed instead of a second one.
- `name` (string, required): The customer's full name
- `notes` (string): Anything the translator should know: names to keep, the purpose, formatting wishes.
- `phone` (string, required): The customer's phone number in E.164 format, e.g. +14155552671
- `quantity` (integer): Pages to translate (a page is up to 250 words). Optional when file_tokens are given: the documents are measured instead, and a quantity can only raise the measured count.
- `source_language` (string, required): Source language code from list_languages, e.g. en-gb
- `speed` (string): standard, next_day (+25%) or same_day (+100%)
- `target_language` (string, required): Target language code from list_languages, e.g. es

### `get_order_status` (~80 tokens)

Order status

Where an order stands, from its signed status_url: status, payment, balance due, due date, documents received, the next action (pay, upload_documents, wait) and fresh links. The link is the credential; nothing else identifies an order.

Input parameters:

- `status_url` (string, required): The status_url returned by create_order or sent to the customer

### `recover_order_links` (~75 tokens)

Recover order links

Emails the customer fresh pay and status links for an order placed with their email address. The answer is the same whether or not the order and email match, so it reveals nothing about other people's orders.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string, required): The email address the order was placed with
- `order_id` (integer, required): The order number

## Common questions

### What is the Translayte MCP server?

Translayte is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.translayte/translayte. Certified, sworn, notarised and apostilled translations: quote, send documents, order, track. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://translayte.com/mcp).

### Is the Translayte MCP server safe to use?

Translayte scores 73 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Translayte MCP server expose?

Translayte exposes 9 tools: list_services, list_languages, list_countries, get_coverage, send_document, and 4 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 1,464 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the Translayte MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to Translayte without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the Translayte MCP server still maintained?
