## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-16.

- **Endpoint Security**: 80/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 67/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 651 tokens (~217/item across 3 items; 3 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 3/100
  - Stability observed for 1 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 3 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 4 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 60/100
  - Spec-recency check failed: implements MCP spec 2025-06-18; the latest is 2026-07-28.

## Install

### How do I install the Stresix MCP server?

Stresix is a hosted endpoint at https://stresix.com/mcp, so there is nothing to install locally. Ready-made configuration for Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and 5 more is on this page, copied from each client's own documentation.

### Claude

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http com-stresix-stresix 'https://stresix.com/mcp'
```

### Cursor

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "com-stresix-stresix": {
      "url": "https://stresix.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

### VS Code

```json
{
  "servers": {
    "com-stresix-stresix": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://stresix.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

### Codex

```toml
[mcp_servers.com-stresix-stresix]
url = "https://stresix.com/mcp"
```

### opencode

```json
{
  "$schema": "https://opencode.ai/config.json",
  "mcp": {
    "com-stresix-stresix": {
      "type": "remote",
      "url": "https://stresix.com/mcp",
      "enabled": true
    }
  }
}
```

### OpenClaw

```bash
openclaw mcp add com-stresix-stresix --url 'https://stresix.com/mcp' --transport streamable-http
```

### Hermes

```yaml
mcp_servers:
  com-stresix-stresix:
    url: "https://stresix.com/mcp"
```

### Netclaw

```json
{
  "McpServers": {
    "com-stresix-stresix": {
      "Transport": "http",
      "Url": "https://stresix.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

### Vellum

```bash
assistant mcp add com-stresix-stresix -t streamable-http -u 'https://stresix.com/mcp'
```

### Other

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "com-stresix-stresix": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://stresix.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

The mcpServers block is a cross-client convention. Remote transports vary, so check your client's docs.

## MCP tools (3)

### `start_load_test` (~363 tokens)

Start a load test

Load tests the user's app on a real cloud server and returns a run id. The target is a public or connected GitHub repository URL, or a Docker image. Lite is free once per GitHub account (500 users, 4 minutes). Standard (2,500 users, 10 minutes) costs 1 credit and Massive (10,000 users, 15 minutes) costs 3. A paid run is only started with confirm_spend set to true, and only after the user has agreed to the price. Without a tier it uses the free Lite run when the account still has it.

Input parameters:

- `branch` (string): Repository branch to build. The default branch when left out.
- `confirm_spend` (boolean): Set to true only after the user agreed to spend credits on this run.
- `env` (object): Environment variables the app needs to boot, such as NODE_ENV or a test database URL. Stored encrypted and wiped after the run. Never send production secrets.
- `paths` (array): GET paths the simulated users rotate through, for example ["/", "/api/products", "/search?q=shoes"]. Pick pages that hit the database. Defaults to ["/"].
- `port` (integer): The port the app listens on inside its container. Read it from the code. Stresix tries 80, 3000, 5000, 8000 and 8080 when it is left out.
- `target` (string, required): GitHub repository URL (https://github.com/owner/repo) or a Docker image (nginx:1.27, ghcr.io/owner/app:tag).
- `tier` (string): Run size. Leave it out to use the free Lite run when available.

### `get_test_status` (~64 tokens)

Check a load test

Where a run stands: building, starting servers, running (with live users, requests per second, p95 latency and error rate) or finished. Without a test_id it reports the latest run.

Input parameters:

- `test_id` (string): The run id start_load_test returned.

### `get_test_report` (~72 tokens)

Read a load test report

The report of a finished run: the verdict, how many users it held, p95 latency, error rate, what ran out first and what to change or which server size to pick. Without a test_id it reports the latest run.

Input parameters:

- `test_id` (string): The run id start_load_test returned.

## Common questions

### What is the Stresix MCP server?

Stresix is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.stresix/stresix. Load test your app on a real server from your agent. Get p95, errors and what ran out first. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://stresix.com/mcp).

### Is the Stresix MCP server safe to use?

Stresix scores 71 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Stresix MCP server expose?

Stresix exposes 3 tools: start_load_test, get_test_status, get_test_report. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 499 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the Stresix MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to Stresix without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the Stresix MCP server still maintained?

Stresix is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 16 October 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
