## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-24.

- **Endpoint Security**: 74/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - HSTS check failed: the Strict-Transport-Security header is absent.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 58/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 783 tokens (~261/item across 3 items; 3 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 20/100
  - Stability observed for 6 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 3 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 4 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

The mcpServers block is a cross-client convention. Remote transports vary, so check your client's docs.

## Changelog

Every change recorded for this component, newest first. Days that predate change tracking, or that we cannot explain, say so: "we were watching and nothing happened" and "we were not watching" are different claims.

### 2026-10-24 (score 71, +1)

No change was recorded against any check on this day. Stability & Change Management went from 17 to 20. That category is still filling its 30-day observation window: 5 days of observed history at the previous scan, 6 at this one. The score rises as the window fills, whether or not the server changes.

### 2026-10-22 (score 70, +1)

No change was recorded against any check on this day. Stability & Change Management went from 10 to 13. That category is still filling its 30-day observation window: 3 days of observed history at the previous scan, 4 at this one. The score rises as the window fills, whether or not the server changes.

## MCP tools (3)

### `search_events` (~485 tokens)

Search spectacles

Find spectacles worldwide (festivals, parades, light and drone shows, eccentric traditions) by trip dates, place, type and size. Returns up to `limit` events, soonest first (or nearest first when near_lat/near_lng are given), each with dates, status, place, type, size, description, official website and the event's page on spectacularatlas.com.

Input parameters:

- `confirmed_only` (boolean): Only events whose dates the organizer has published.
- `country` (string): ISO 3166 country code (e.g. JP) or country name.
- `from` (string): Trip start, YYYY-MM-DD: events running on or after this day.
- `limit` (integer): How many events to return (default 10).
- `near_lat` (number): Latitude of a place to search around.
- `near_lng` (number): Longitude of a place to search around.
- `query` (string): Words in the name, place or description, e.g. 'Harbin', 'Kyoto', 'lantern'.
- `radius_km` (number): Search radius around near_lat/near_lng in km (default 250).
- `region` (string): One of: East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Middle East and Central Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, Oceania.
- `sizes` (array): Mega: about a million visitors or more or a national flagship; Major: about 200,000 to a million; Notable: smaller.
- `sort` (string): Order of results.
- `to` (string): Trip end, YYYY-MM-DD: events that have started by this day.
- `types` (array): Types of spectacle: light (Light festivals and light art), lantern (Lanterns), drone (Drone shows), projection (Projection mapping), immersive (Immersive venues), parade (Parades and carnivals), fire…
- `year_round` (string): Venues open all year and regular shows without a season: include them (default), exclude them, or return only them.

### `get_event` (~67 tokens)

Get one spectacle

Full details of one spectacle by its id (from search_events): dates, status, place and coordinates, official website, the quoted source of its dates and when it was last checked.

Input parameters:

- `id` (string, required): The event id, e.g. 'sapporo-snow-festival'.

### `list_filters` (~46 tokens)

List types, regions and countries

The types, sizes, regions and countries in the guide, with how many spectacles each has, and how many are venues and shows open all year (the year_round option of search_events).
