## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 83/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Nothing on it is marked destructive, but we can't show that an anonymous caller can only read: full credit needs the server to list at least one tool and every tool to be verifiably read-only. We use a best-effort check of tool names and descriptions to tell read-only tools from tools that change things, so some genuinely read-only tools may not get full credit. Names that start with a read verb (get, list, read, search and similar) and accurate readOnlyHint annotations help. Meet that to earn full credit, or require authorisation.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC is configured correctly; the domain's records validate against the full chain to the root.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 73/100
  - 100% of prompts and resources have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the item's name).
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 3552 tokens (~322/item across 11 items; 8 tools + 3 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 40/100
  - Stability observed for 12 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (25% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 8 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 10 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 60/100
  - Spec-recency check failed: implements MCP spec 2025-06-18; the latest is 2026-07-28.

## MCP tools (8)

### `get_shop_facts` (~139 tokens)

Shop facts

What roamflat is and how the Flat works, in the shop's own words: speeds, networks, when the days start, delivery, payment, refund policy, adding days, My Flat, e-mails, app, devices, support. Use for any question that is not a price.

Input parameters:

- `bucket` (string): Optional language-region bucket the customer shops in, e.g. en-gb, de-de (sets currency and link locale). Defaults from language.
- `language` (string): ISO language of the conversation, e.g. en, de, ja. Localizes country names and sets the language/currency of links and prices.

### `list_destinations` (~147 tokens)

List destinations

Every country roamflat builds a Flat for, with the number of networks, whether 5G (and so 25/50 Mbps) is available, and the starting price per day (5 Mbps, cheapest network). Use to check coverage or compare countries.

Input parameters:

- `bucket` (string): Optional language-region bucket the customer shops in, e.g. en-gb, de-de (sets currency and link locale). Defaults from language.
- `currency` (string): Optional ISO 4217 override for prices.
- `language` (string): ISO language of the conversation, e.g. en, de, ja. Localizes country names and sets the language/currency of links and prices.

### `get_flats` (~209 tokens)

Flats of a country

The networks of one country (operator, 5G) and the Flats built from them — each Flat with the networks it includes and the price for every speed for the given days (null = that speed needs a 5G network). Use to explain the choice between networks and speeds.

Input parameters:

- `bucket` (string): Optional language-region bucket the customer shops in, e.g. en-gb, de-de (sets currency and link locale). Defaults from language.
- `currency` (string): Optional ISO 4217 override for prices.
- `days` (integer): Days of mobile data (1–30).
- `destination` (string, required): Country in ANY language or its ISO code, e.g. "Japan", "Japon", "jp". Map a city to its country first. One country per Flat.
- `language` (string): ISO language of the conversation, e.g. en, de, ja. Localizes country names and sets the language/currency of links and prices.

### `quote_flat` (~341 tokens)

Quote one Flat

Use while the customer is still deciding — "how much is …?": the exact price of one configuration (country, speed, days and optionally which Flat / networks), the server price the customer would pay. Quote it as returned, never compute or scale it yourself. The result carries a buy_url for reference; when the customer says they want to buy, call start_checkout instead.

Input parameters:

- `bucket` (string): Optional language-region bucket the customer shops in, e.g. en-gb, de-de (sets currency and link locale). Defaults from language.
- `currency` (string): Optional ISO 4217 override for prices.
- `days` (integer, required): Days of mobile data (1–30).
- `destination` (string, required): Country in ANY language or its ISO code, e.g. "Japan", "Japon", "jp". Map a city to its country first. One country per Flat.
- `flat` (integer): Optional: which Flat of the country, as get_flats numbers them. Omit = the cheapest Flat that allows the speed.
- `language` (string): ISO language of the conversation, e.g. en, de, ja. Localizes country names and sets the language/currency of links and prices.
- `mbps` (integer): Maximum speed in Mbps (5, 10, 25, 50; default 5). Data is unlimited at that speed. 25 Mbps and up need a 5G network.
- `networks` (array): Optional: operator names from get_flats that must be included (the cheapest Flat holding all of them is used). Ignored when flat is given.

Output parameters:

- `all_networks` (boolean)
- `buy_url` (string): The roamflat card preset to exactly this configuration. Use verbatim.
- `currency` (string)
- `data` (string)
- `days` (integer): Days booked, counted from the first connection in the destination country.
- `destination` (string): Resolved country name (localized).
- `flat` (integer): Which Flat of the country (1 = cheapest network only; higher numbers include more networks). Pass it back to quote the same Flat.
- `has_5g` (boolean): A 5G network is included.
- `hotspot` (boolean)
- `iso` (string): ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, lower case.
- `name` (string): The Flat's name as the shop shows it: "Flat · Vodafone + O2" or "Flat · all 4 networks".
- `networks` (array): Operator names included, as the shop states them.
- `networks_unmatched` (array): Present when a requested network does not exist in this country: those names. The quote then uses the Flat listed in networks.
- `note` (string): Present when something about the request had to be adjusted (a step up for the speed, an unknown network) — read it to the customer.
- `price` (number): FULL price of this configuration in currency — the amount paid. Not per day.
- `price_basis` (string)
- `price_is_final` (boolean)
- `price_per_day` (number): For comparison only. Never multiply it yourself.
- `speed_mbps` (integer): The chosen maximum speed. Data is unlimited at this speed.
- `starts` (string)
- `topup` (object): How the customer adds days to this Flat later (not through the tools).

### `price_grid` (~303 tokens)

Price grid

Prices for several speed × days combinations of one Flat in one call (up to 8 day values; speeds default to all), e.g. to compare with other providers or to find the best fit. Same server prices as quote_flat.

Input parameters:

- `bucket` (string): Optional language-region bucket the customer shops in, e.g. en-gb, de-de (sets currency and link locale). Defaults from language.
- `currency` (string): Optional ISO 4217 override for prices.
- `days` (array, required): Up to 8 day values, e.g. [3,7,14,30].
- `mbps` (array): Speeds to include (default all: 5, 10, 25, 50).
- `networks` (array): Optional: operator names from get_flats that must be included (the cheapest Flat holding all of them is used). Ignored when flat is given.

### `recommend_config` (~557 tokens)

Recommend a Flat

Use when the customer describes the trip instead of a speed: country (or up to 5), days and what will be connected (devices: phone, phone_laptop, small_group, family, creator_posting, creator_live, creator_hd_live, creator_pro). Picks the speed from the roamflat speed guide and returns it server-quoted together with the step below and the step above (where offered), each with price, networks, a one-line reason and its buy_url, plus trip totals and an optional budget check. A speed that needs 5G in a country without 5G falls back to the highest speed there and says so. Prices are the same as quote_flat. Give destination (one country) or destinations (several) — one of the two is required; a call without a country fails with invalid_argument.

Input parameters:

- `bucket` (string): Optional language-region bucket the customer shops in, e.g. en-gb, de-de (sets currency and link locale). Defaults from language.
- `budget` (number): Optional budget for the whole trip in the quoted currency; options above it are marked.
- `currency` (string): Optional ISO 4217 override for prices.
- `days` (integer, required): Days of mobile data (1–30).
- `destination` (string): Country in ANY language or its ISO code, e.g. "Japan", "Japon", "jp". Map a city to its country first. One country per Flat. Required unless destinations is given.
- `destinations` (array): Several countries (max 5), any language or ISO codes. Use instead of destination for a multi-country trip. Required unless destination is given.
- `devices` (string): phone = one phone (5 Mbps); phone_laptop = phone + laptop; small_group = a travel router for two or three devices; family = one travel router for the whole family; creator_posting = stories, reels, T…
- `flat` (integer): Optional: which Flat of the country, as get_flats numbers them. Omit = the cheapest Flat that allows the speed.
- `language` (string): ISO language of the conversation, e.g. en, de, ja. Localizes country names and sets the language/currency of links and prices.
- `networks` (array): Optional: operator names from get_flats that must be included (the cheapest Flat holding all of them is used). Ignored when flat is given.
- `per_country` (array): Optional days per country for a multi-country trip.

### `plan_trip` (~383 tokens)

Plan a multi-country trip

A trip through several countries (max 5): one Flat per country, each quoted at the same speed and days unless given per country. days is PER COUNTRY, never the whole trip: for a 12-day trip through Japan and Thailand pass per_country days that add up to 12 (e.g. 7 + 5). Returns one line per country with price and buy_url, plus the total. Use when the customer names two or more countries and a speed (2–5 destinations); for one country call quote_flat; use recommend_config when they describe devices or usage instead.

Input parameters:

- `bucket` (string): Optional language-region bucket the customer shops in, e.g. en-gb, de-de (sets currency and link locale). Defaults from language.
- `currency` (string): Optional ISO 4217 override for prices.
- `days` (integer): Days in EACH country (1–30, default 7) — NOT the length of the whole trip. A 12-day trip through 3 countries is about 4 days per country: split the trip with per_country days that add up to the trip…
- `destinations` (array, required): Countries of the trip (2–5), any language or ISO codes, in travel order.
- `per_country` (array): Optional overrides per country (days and/or mbps). Use it to split the trip: the days of all countries together should add up to the trip length.

### `start_checkout` (~388 tokens)

Start secure checkout

Use only once the customer has decided to buy ("I'll take it", "how do I buy?"): the checkout handoff. Returns the buy_url to give the customer, the final price and a ready-to-send checkout block (next_step, payment_methods, delivery) — on the page they press the buy button (buy_button, e.g. "Get your Flat" in English) and pay securely. No account needed; the eSIM is delivered on screen and by email within seconds of payment. No in-chat order tracking, no discount codes. For prices while the customer is still comparing, use quote_flat.

- `buy_button` (string): The label of the buy button on the page, in the language of the customer: name it exactly so.
- `buy_url` (string): The roamflat card preset to exactly this configuration. Use verbatim.
- `currency` (string)
- `data` (string)
- `days` (integer): Days booked, counted from the first connection in the destination country.
- `delivery` (string): How and when the eSIM arrives.
- `destination` (string): Resolved country name (localized).
- `flat` (integer): Which Flat of the country (1 = cheapest network only; higher numbers include more networks). Pass it back to quote the same Flat.
- `has_5g` (boolean): A 5G network is included.

- `iso` (string): ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, lower case.
- `message` (string): A ready-to-send line for the customer.
- `next_step` (string): What the customer does now: open buy_url, press "Get your Flat", pay.
- `note` (string): Present when something about the request had to be adjusted (a step up for the speed, an unknown network) — read it to the customer.
- `payment_methods` (array)
- `price` (number): FULL price of this configuration in currency — the amount paid. Not per day.
- `price_basis` (string)
- `price_is_final` (boolean)
- `price_per_day` (number): For comparison only. Never multiply it yourself.
- `speed_mbps` (integer): The chosen maximum speed. Data is unlimited at this speed.

## Common questions

### What is the roamflat Flat configurator MCP server?

roamflat Flat configurator is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.roamflat/esim-catalog. Unlimited travel eSIMs at 5–50 Mbps: live quotes by country, speed and days, plus a buy link. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://roamflat.com/wp-json/roamflat/mcp).

### Is the roamflat Flat configurator MCP server safe to use?

roamflat Flat configurator scores 78 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the roamflat Flat configurator MCP server expose?

roamflat Flat configurator exposes 8 tools: get_shop_facts, list_destinations, get_flats, quote_flat, price_grid, and 3 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 2,467 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the roamflat Flat configurator MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to roamflat Flat configurator without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the roamflat Flat configurator MCP server still maintained?

roamflat Flat configurator is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.

### What did VerifyMCP test on the roamflat Flat configurator MCP server?

VerifyMCP ran 13 checks on roamflat Flat configurator, covering TLS certificate, Authorization, HTTPS, HSTS header and 9 more. Supply Chain Security and Provenance & Transparency do not apply to a hosted endpoint, so they were not tested.
