## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-06.

- **Endpoint Security**: 97/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - Authorisation is enforced on tool calls, advertised via RFC 9728 protected-resource metadata. Discovery is public, which costs nothing: no tool can be invoked without a token.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
  - The authorisation server supports Client ID Metadata Documents, the current MCP client-registration mechanism.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 70/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 1333 tokens (~190/item across 7 items; 7 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 69/100
  - Stability check failed: schema churn in the 30 days we've observed: 3 tool removals, 0 breaking changes, 0 auth/transport breaks, 0 additions.
- **Tool Coverage**: 96/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 86% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - All 1 tool(s) whose name or description implies an irreversible operation declare an MCP destructiveHint annotation.
  - An AI judge read all 8 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

### `risetive_find_competitors` (~405 tokens)

See who is already building an idea or product

Find the existing software products that already do what an idea, a product name or a website does — the same search as risetive.com/find. Use this first when the user asks who else does something, what the alternatives are, or whether something already exists. Returns a one-sentence answer (how many products do it and how big the biggest is), what the input was understood as, and the products doing it, each with its one-line description, monthly visits, Paid/Free when known, whether its site is new, and its niche, most visited first, 25 at a time (page.nextOffset asks for the next ones); products with 10M+ monthly visits come apart in giants. Also the niche most of them are in. For a website it also says whether Risetive lists it. When nothing does the idea yet, the nearest products are returned separately. For one product's features and pricing, call risetive_get_product_profile with its domain. A search takes about 10–60 seconds. Without an account: 5 searches a day and 5 competitors per search. A free Risetive account: 3 searches a day, shared with the website, and 10 competitors per search. Risetive Pro ($29/year): every competitor and unlimited searches. When a list is cut, the answer says how many more there are.

Input parameters:

- `idea` (string, required): A product idea in one sentence ("an app that turns meeting notes into tasks"), a product name ("Notion") or a website ("notion.so" or "https://notion.so"). Up to 300 characters.
- `limit` (integer): How many competitors to return, 1–50; 25 when omitted.
- `offset` (integer): How many of the most visited competitors to skip; pass page.nextOffset from the last answer for the next ones. The same idea on the same day is not searched again.

Output parameters:

- `data`
- `message`
- `notice`
- `retryAfterSeconds`
- `status` (string)

### `risetive_get_product_profile` (~154 tokens)

Get a product profile

Read one listed software product by its domain: what it does, its main features, monthly visits, backlinks, referring domains, pricing (paid/free/gated, starting price, model) and its niche with its rank there. Use it after risetive_find_competitors or risetive_list_niche_players to look at one product in depth; it does not search — pass an exact domain. Returns not-found for domains Risetive does not list. Works without signing in (small daily allowance, at most 5 rows per list); a free Risetive account returns full results.

Input parameters:

- `domain` (string, required): The product's domain or homepage URL, e.g. "canva.com".

Output parameters:

- `data`
- `message`
- `notice`
- `retryAfterSeconds`
- `status` (string)

### `risetive_list_niche_players` (~147 tokens)

List the leading products in a niche

List up to eight leading products in one niche — current top products first, then by monthly visits — each with its one-line description, monthly visits, referring domains and pricing. Use it to see who leads a niche; use risetive_list_new_entrants for the newest products in it. No pagination. Works without signing in (small daily allowance, at most 5 rows per list); a free Risetive account returns full results.

Input parameters:

- `niche` (string, required): Niche slug as returned by risetive_find_competitors or risetive_get_product_profile, or in a niche URL, e.g. "ai-photo-and-image-editors".

Output parameters:

- `data`
- `message`
- `notice`
- `retryAfterSeconds`
- `status` (string)

### `risetive_list_new_entrants` (~149 tokens)

List the newest products in a niche

List up to ten products most recently added to Risetive in one niche, newest first, with the same fields as risetive_list_niche_players and when each was added. Use it to see who just entered a niche; the added date is when Risetive listed the product, not its launch date. Works without signing in (small daily allowance, at most 5 rows per list); a free Risetive account returns full results.

Input parameters:

- `niche` (string, required): Niche slug as returned by risetive_find_competitors or risetive_get_product_profile, or in a niche URL, e.g. "ai-photo-and-image-editors".

Output parameters:

- `data`
- `message`
- `notice`
- `retryAfterSeconds`
- `status` (string)

### `risetive_save_item` (~114 tokens)

Save a Risetive item

Save a niche or a product to the signed-in user's Risetive Saved list (risetive.com/saved). Pass kind and key: kind "market" with a niche slug as key, or kind "product" with a product id (from risetive_get_product_profile, risetive_list_niche_players or risetive_list_new_entrants) as key. Returns the saved item's id; saving an item twice keeps one copy. Requires signing in with a free Risetive account.

Output parameters:

- `data`
- `message`
- `status` (string)

### `risetive_list_saved_items` (~59 tokens)

List saved Risetive items

List the niches and products the signed-in user saved, with each item's id (pass it as savedItemId to risetive_remove_saved_item). Only the user's own items. Requires signing in with a free Risetive account.

Output parameters:

- `data`
- `message`
- `status` (string)

### `risetive_remove_saved_item` (~83 tokens)

Remove a saved Risetive item

Remove one item from the signed-in user's Saved list by the id that risetive_save_item or risetive_list_saved_items returns; the niche, product or project itself is not affected. Removing an item that is already gone returns removed: false. Requires signing in with a free Risetive account.

Input parameters:

- `savedItemId` (string, required)

Output parameters:

- `data`
- `message`
- `status` (string)

## Common questions

### What is the Risetive MCP server?

Risetive is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.risetive/mcp. Find competitors for any AI idea or product. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://risetive.com/mcp).

### Is the Risetive MCP server safe to use?

Risetive scores 89 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Risetive MCP server expose?

Risetive exposes 7 tools: risetive_find_competitors, risetive_get_product_profile, risetive_list_niche_players, risetive_list_new_entrants, risetive_save_item, and 2 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 1,111 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the Risetive MCP server require authentication?

Yes. Risetive asked us for credentials when we connected, so you will need to authorise it in your MCP client before it can do anything.

### Is the Risetive MCP server still maintained?

Risetive is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 6 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.

### What did VerifyMCP test on the Risetive MCP server?

VerifyMCP ran 13 checks on Risetive, covering TLS certificate, Authorization, HTTPS, HSTS header and 9 more. Supply Chain Security and Provenance & Transparency do not apply to a hosted endpoint, so they were not tested. The score does not measure everything, and the scoring documentation lists what it leaves out.
