## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-24.

- **Endpoint Security**: 74/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - HSTS check failed: the Strict-Transport-Security header is absent.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 67/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 805 tokens (~201/item across 4 items; 4 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 47/100
  - Stability observed for 14 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 4 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 5 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

## MCP tools (4)

### `find_property` (~159 tokens)

Find a RentalCal property

Look up a vacation rental by its RentalCal booking site, or by the page on the host's own website where their RentalCal booking widget is installed. Accepts a site address such as beach-house.rentalcal.com, a full URL, the bare site name, or the host's own domain. Returns the listing: description, location, capacity, amenities, house rules, photos, nightly pricing, cancellation policy, payment schedule, damage deposit, the host's FAQ, and the property id. When one website hosts several properties, returns those candidates instead.

Input parameters:

- `site` (string, required): The booking site's address or URL, e.g. beach-house.rentalcal.com, or the address of the host's own page with the booking widget on it.

### `get_property` (~81 tokens)

Get property details

The full listing for a property id: description, location, check-in and check-out times, capacity, pets, amenities, house rules, photos, nightly pricing and fees, cancellation policy, payment schedule, damage deposit, and the host's FAQ. Amounts are integer cents in the property's currency.

Input parameters:

- `propertyId` (string, required): A RentalCal property id.

### `check_availability` (~141 tokens)

Check availability

Booked nights and the open date ranges a stay can actually be booked in, with minimum-stay rules applied. bookableUntil is the first night the host's booking window has not opened yet (null for no limit); nights after it are not open rather than taken. Defaults to the next 90 days; at most 365 days per call. Ranges are check-in inclusive, check-out exclusive.

Input parameters:

- `from` (string): First date to check, YYYY-MM-DD. Defaults to today.
- `propertyId` (string, required): A RentalCal property id.
- `to` (string): Day after the last date to check, YYYY-MM-DD.

### `get_quote` (~216 tokens)

Price a stay

The exact price of a stay: nightly rates, discounts, cleaning and other fees, taxes and total, in integer cents, plus any refundable damage deposit the host requires and whether it is held at booking. Returns a bookingUrl that opens the host's booking page with these dates and guests filled in, where the traveller completes the booking. If the stay is not allowed (dates taken, below the minimum stay, too many guests) the reason is returned instead.

Input parameters:

- `checkIn` (string, required): Arrival date, YYYY-MM-DD.
- `checkOut` (string, required): Departure date, YYYY-MM-DD.
- `guests` (integer, required): Number of guests, not counting pets or infants. Where the listing's infants is null, count babies here.
- `infants` (integer): Children under the listing's infants.freeUnderAge. Free, and outside maxGuests. Only where the listing's infants is not null; leave out otherwise.
- `pets` (integer): Number of pets.
- `propertyId` (string, required): A RentalCal property id.
