## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 63/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - Authorisation check failed: no authorisation is required to call this server, and it exposes a tool marked destructive (update_code_destination).
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 67/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 858 tokens (~214/item across 4 items; 4 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 30/100
  - Stability observed for 9 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 4 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 5 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

## Install

### How do I install the qrforprint MCP server?

qrforprint is a hosted endpoint at https://qrforprint.com/mcp, so there is nothing to install locally. Ready-made configuration for Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and 5 more is on this page, copied from each client's own documentation.

### Claude

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http com-qrforprint-qrforprint 'https://qrforprint.com/mcp'
```

### Cursor

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "com-qrforprint-qrforprint": {
      "url": "https://qrforprint.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

### VS Code

```json
  "servers": {
    "com-qrforprint-qrforprint": {
      "type": "http",
  "McpServers": {
    "com-qrforprint-qrforprint": {
      "Transport": "http",
      "Url": "https://qrforprint.com/mcp"
    }
```

### Vellum

```bash
assistant mcp add com-qrforprint-qrforprint -t streamable-http -u 'https://qrforprint.com/mcp'
```

### Other

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "com-qrforprint-qrforprint": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://qrforprint.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

The mcpServers block is a cross-client convention. Remote transports vary, so check your client's docs.

## Changelog

Every change recorded for this component, newest first. Days that predate change tracking, or that we cannot explain, say so: "we were watching and nothing happened" and "we were not watching" are different claims.

## MCP tools (4)

### `preview_qr_code` (~432 tokens)

Preview a QR code

Draws a black and white preview of a static QR code for a web address, plain text, email, phone call, text message, WiFi network or contact card. Returns the PNG image and a link that opens the same content in the qrforprint editor, where it can be styled and downloaded as PNG, SVG, PDF or EPS. Nothing is saved and no account is needed. A static code cannot be changed after it is printed.

Input parameters:

- `email` (string): type email: the recipient address.
- `emailBody` (string): type email: optional message body.
- `emailSubject` (string): type email: optional subject.
- `firstName` (string): type vcard: first name.
- `lastName` (string): type vcard: last name.
- `org` (string): type vcard: company.
- `phone` (string): type phone: the number to call, international format such as +14155550123.
- `smsBody` (string): type sms: optional message text.
- `smsPhone` (string): type sms: the number the text message goes to.
- `text` (string): type text: the plain text to encode.
- `title` (string): type vcard: job title.
- `type` (string, required): What the code holds: url, text, email, phone, sms, wifi or vcard (contact card).
- `url` (string): type url: the web address, starting with http:// or https://.
- `vcardEmail` (string): type vcard: email address.
- `vcardPhone` (string): type vcard: phone number.
- `vcardUrl` (string): type vcard: website.
- `wifiEncryption` (string): type wifi: WPA (default), WEP, or nopass for an open network.
- `wifiHidden` (boolean): type wifi: true if the network name is hidden.
- `wifiPassword` (string): type wifi: the network password.
- `wifiSsid` (string): type wifi: the network name (SSID).

### `list_my_codes` (~85 tokens)

List my QR codes

Lists the QR codes saved in the signed-in qrforprint account, newest first, 50 per page: name, type, static or dynamic, short link, destination, total scans for dynamic codes, creation date, whether the code is disabled, and a link to edit it on qrforprint.com.

Input parameters:

- `page` (integer): Page number, starting at 1.

### `create_dynamic_link_code` (~131 tokens)

Create a dynamic link QR code

Creates a dynamic QR code in the signed-in qrforprint account. The code holds a short qrforprint link that forwards to the given web address, so the destination can be changed later without reprinting, and scans are counted. Free accounts can have 3 dynamic codes. Returns the short link, the QR image and a link to style and download it on qrforprint.com.

Input parameters:

- `destination_url` (string, required): The web address the code opens, starting with http:// or https://.
- `name` (string): A name to find the code by later, such as 'Table menu'.

### `update_code_destination` (~114 tokens)

Change where a QR code goes

Changes the web address a dynamic link QR code in the signed-in qrforprint account forwards to. Printed copies keep working and open the new address from the next scan. Accepts the code ID or its short link. Static codes, disabled codes and photo, PDF or voice note codes cannot be changed with this tool.

Input parameters:

- `code` (string, required): The code ID or its short link, as shown by list_my_codes.
- `destination_url` (string, required): The new web address, starting with http:// or https://.

## Common questions

### What is the qrforprint MCP server?

qrforprint is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.qrforprint/qrforprint. QR codes for print: free previews, plus dynamic link codes you can repoint after printing. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://qrforprint.com/mcp).

### Is the qrforprint MCP server safe to use?

qrforprint scores 69 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the qrforprint MCP server expose?

qrforprint exposes 4 tools: preview_qr_code, list_my_codes, create_dynamic_link_code, update_code_destination. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 762 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the qrforprint MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to qrforprint without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the qrforprint MCP server still maintained?

qrforprint is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
