## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 89/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - Authorisation is enforced on tool calls, but the challenge carries no valid RFC 9728 metadata, so a client cannot discover where to get a token.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 69/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 1773 tokens (~126/item across 14 items; 14 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 10/100
  - Stability observed for 3 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 95/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 84% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - All 1 tool(s) whose name or description implies an irreversible operation declare an MCP destructiveHint annotation.
  - An AI judge read all 15 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 60/100
  - Spec-recency check failed: implements MCP spec 2025-06-18; the latest is 2026-07-28.

## MCP tools (14)

### `list_accounts` (~36 tokens)

List every account the user has connected to Goptin (several per channel is normal). Call this first to pick the right account.

### `list_conversations` (~196 tokens)

List recent inbox conversations (DMs, groups, channels, ticket threads), newest first, across all or one account.

Input parameters:

- `account` (string): Which connected account to use: an account_id from list_accounts, or part of its name (e.g. "EverydAI", "Zalo shop"). Omit to search all accounts.
- `before` (string): ISO date: page back to conversations active before this time
- `channel` (string): Restrict to one channel: slack, msteams, googlechat, jira, clickup, telegram, zalo, gmail, facebook, instagram, whatsapp.
- `include_hidden` (boolean): Also include conversations the user hid
- `limit` (number): Max results (default 20, max 50)
- `query` (string): Filter by title or last-message text
- `unread_only` (boolean): Only conversations with unread messages or unread @mentions

### `read_conversation` (~70 tokens)

Read the messages of one conversation, oldest first. Use `before` with the earliest sent_at to page back.

Input parameters:

- `before` (string): ISO date: only messages sent before this time
- `conversation_id` (string, required)
- `limit` (number): Default 30, max 100

### `search_messages` (~124 tokens)

Full-text search over stored messages across all or one account.

Input parameters:

- `account` (string): Which connected account to use: an account_id from list_accounts, or part of its name (e.g. "EverydAI", "Zalo shop"). Omit to search all accounts.
- `channel` (string): Restrict to one channel: slack, msteams, googlechat, jira, clickup, telegram, zalo, gmail, facebook, instagram, whatsapp.
- `limit` (number): Default 20, max 50
- `query` (string, required)

### `send_message` (~77 tokens)

Send a message as the user into an existing conversation, through the account that conversation belongs to. This really delivers to the other person — confirm the text with the user first.

Input parameters:

- `conversation_id` (string, required)
- `text` (string, required)
- `thread_id` (string): Reply inside a thread (thread_id from read_conversation)

### `list_tickets` (~285 tokens)

List tickets live from Jira / ClickUp with status, assignees, tags, list/sprint, parent, custom fields and linked tickets. Default: open tickets assigned to the user in their current sprint/list. ClickUp: pass list (e.g. "Sprint 102") and scope="anyone" for every ticket in a sprint, include_done for closed statuses.

Input parameters:

- `account` (string): Which connected account to use: an account_id from list_accounts, or part of its name (e.g. "EverydAI", "Zalo shop"). Omit to search all accounts.
- `assignee` (string): Only tickets with an assignee matching this name (diacritics-insensitive)
- `channel` (string)
- `include_description` (boolean): Return each ticket's full description (useful to find MR/branch links)
- `include_done` (boolean): Include completed statuses
- `list` (string): Sprint / list name fragment or list id (e.g. "Sprint 102"). ClickUp: loads that whole list
- `scope` (string): "me" (default): tickets assigned to the user; "anyone": every ticket in the list (ClickUp)
- `status` (string): Only statuses whose name contains this text
- `tag` (string): Only tickets with a tag containing this text

### `get_ticket` (~185 tokens)

Get one ticket live: full description, status, assignees, tags, parent, subtasks, linked tickets, attachments (with URLs), plus comments. Pass ticket_id (and account_id when you have several boards) from list_tickets, or a conversation_id. Synced tickets return the inbox thread including status/assignee/due-date change events.

Input parameters:

- `account_id` (string): account_id of the Jira/ClickUp board (from list_tickets)
- `comment_limit` (number): Default 20, max 100
- `conversation_id` (string): The ticket's conversation_id, when list_tickets returned one
- `max_description` (number): Truncate the description to this many characters (default: full)
- `ticket_id` (string): ticket_id (ClickUp) or key (Jira, e.g. SCRUM-3)

### `find_person` (~84 tokens)

Find a person by name, nickname or email across all accounts — ignores diacritics and word order ("Lena" finds "Le Na Nguyen" and "Nguyen Le Na"). Returns their identities per app, grouped when the names match, and the conversations they're in (DMs first).

Input parameters:

- `query` (string, required): Name, part of a name, username or email

### `get_digest` (~56 tokens)

Read the user's latest daily digest (one per workspace): a summary of the last 24h across all accounts, tasks due today/overdue, high-priority tickets, and conversations waiting for the user's reply. Start the day here.

### `list_tasks` (~62 tokens)

List the user's Goptin to-do list (manual, AI-extracted and ClickUp-synced tasks). Open tasks by default.

Input parameters:

- `include_done` (boolean): Also include completed tasks
- `limit` (number): Default 50, max 200

### `create_task` (~86 tokens)

Add a task to the user's Goptin to-do list (private to the user, nothing is sent to anyone).

Input parameters:

- `conversation_id` (string): Link the task to the conversation it came from
- `due_date` (string): YYYY-MM-DD
- `note` (string)
- `title` (string, required): Short imperative, e.g. "Send the quote to Minh"

### `complete_task` (~57 tokens)

Mark a Goptin task done (or reopen it with done=false). ClickUp-linked tasks are updated in ClickUp too.

Input parameters:

- `done` (boolean): false reopens the task (default true)
- `task_id` (string, required)

### `update_ticket` (~169 tokens)

Change a Jira/ClickUp ticket: move it to another status (use a status name shown by list_tickets), set the due date, or replace the description. Changes are visible to the user's team — confirm with the user first.

Input parameters:

- `account_id` (string): The board's account_id from list_tickets (use with ticket_id)
- `conversation_id` (string): The ticket's conversation_id from list_tickets (when it has one)
- `description` (string): Replaces the whole description
- `due_date` (string): YYYY-MM-DD
- `status` (string): Target status name, e.g. "qa approved" or "In Review"
- `ticket_id` (string): ticket_id (ClickUp) or key (Jira) from list_tickets

### `comment_ticket` (~113 tokens)

Post a comment on a Jira/ClickUp ticket as the user. The team sees it — show the exact text to the user and confirm first.

Input parameters:

- `account_id` (string): The board's account_id from list_tickets (use with ticket_id)
- `conversation_id` (string): The ticket's conversation_id from list_tickets (when it has one)
- `text` (string, required)
- `ticket_id` (string): ticket_id (ClickUp) or key (Jira) from list_tickets

## Common questions

### What is the Goptin MCP server?

Goptin is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.goptin/goptin. One MCP server for all your work accounts: Slack, Teams, Google Chat, Jira, ClickUp, digest, tasks. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://app.goptin.com/mcp).

### Is the Goptin MCP server safe to use?

Goptin scores 75 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Goptin MCP server expose?

Goptin exposes 14 tools: list_accounts, list_conversations, read_conversation, search_messages, send_message, and 9 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 1,600 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the Goptin MCP server require authentication?

Yes. Goptin asked us for credentials when we connected, so you will need to authorise it in your MCP client before it can do anything.

### Is the Goptin MCP server still maintained?

Goptin is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
