## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-10-16.

- **Endpoint Security**: 83/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - The HSTS (Strict-Transport-Security) header is present.
  - DNSSEC is configured correctly; the domain's records validate against the full chain to the root.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 87/100
  - 100% of prompts and resources have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the item's name).
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Tool/resource definitions use about 1108 tokens (~85/item across 13 items; 9 tools + 4 resources), lean.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 73/100
  - Stability observed for 22 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 9 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 11 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).
  - Supports UI / widget rendering.

## MCP tools (9)

### `search_stays` (~275 tokens)

Search stays

Find hotels and private stays by plain words, with optional filters for country, destination, collection, amenities, and a nightly budget in euros. Best matches first. Gives each stay's page URL, place, short description, and "from" rate.

Input parameters:

- `amenities` (array): Only stays that have each of these, by word: "spa", "pool", "beach", "tennis".
- `collection` (string): Only this collection: a name or a slug, such as "Coast". list_destinations lists them.
- `country` (string): Only this country: a name or an ISO code, such as "France" or "FR".
- `destination` (string): Only this destination: a name or a slug, such as "Provence".
- `limit` (integer): The most stays to give.
- `max_rate` (number): Only stays whose "from" rate is at most this many euros a night (a week rate counts a seventh). Stays with no rate are left out.
- `query` (string): What the reader wants, in plain words: "quiet hotel on Lake Como with a spa". Stays that match more words come first.
- `sort` (string): "relevance" (best match first) or "rate" (lowest rate first).

Output parameters:

- `stays` (array)

## Common questions

### What is the Déstaire MCP server?

Déstaire is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.destaire/destaire. A curated guide to exceptional hotels and private stays, with editorial content and city guides. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://destaire.com/mcp).

### Is the Déstaire MCP server safe to use?

Déstaire scores 87 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Déstaire MCP server expose?

Déstaire exposes 9 tools: search_stays, get_stay, list_destinations, get_destination, list_articles, and 4 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 828 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the Déstaire MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to Déstaire without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the Déstaire MCP server still maintained?

Déstaire is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 16 October 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
