## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-04.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 100/100
  - No malware found by supply-chain analysis.
  - No known CVEs affecting this package version or its production dependencies.
  - No install/post-install scripts declared.
  - No production dependencies, so there is no dependency health to assess.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 97/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Cryptographically verified build provenance (signed, bound to conv2pdf/mcp).
  - Clear OSI-approved license (MIT).
  - Actively maintained (last published 1 days ago).
  - Disclosure check failed: no security disclosure policy was found in the source repository.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 72/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 2375 tokens (~158/item across 15 items; 15 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 100/100
  - No destabilizing schema changes in the last 30 days.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - All 2 tool(s) whose name or description implies an irreversible operation declare an MCP destructiveHint annotation.
  - An AI judge read all 16 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).

## MCP tools (15)

### `convert_to_pdf` (~180 tokens)

Convert to PDF

Converts a document, an image, an e-book or a web page saved as a file to PDF: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, Apple Pages, RTF, TXT, CSV, PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, TIFF, HEIC, EPUB, PostScript (PS, EPS) and HTML. The converter is chosen from the extension of the file. An HTML file is printed as a browser would print it. The file is uploaded to conv2pdf and the call counts as one conversion.

Input parameters:

- `input_path` (string, required): Path of the file on this computer: absolute, or relative to the working directory of the server.
- `output_path` (string): Where to write the result. Optional: by default next to the input file, under a name that is not taken. An existing file is never overwritten.

### `convert_url_to_pdf` (~135 tokens)

Convert Web Page to PDF

Converts the public web page at an address to PDF, as a browser prints it: the text stays selectable and the links work. The page is opened without a session, so a page behind a login is out of reach. The address is sent to conv2pdf, which opens the page, and the call counts as one conversion.

Input parameters:

- `output_path` (string, required): Where to write the PDF, such as ~/Documents/page.pdf: absolute, or relative to the working directory of the server. An existing file is never overwritten.
- `url` (string, required): Address of the page, starting with https:// or http://.

### `convert_heic_to_jpg` (~108 tokens)

Convert HEIC to JPG

Converts an iPhone HEIC or HEIF photo to a JPG image.

### `convert_pdf_to_word` (~146 tokens)

Convert PDF to Word

Converts a PDF that contains real text to an editable Word document (DOCX). A scanned PDF, made of images without text, is refused.

- `password` (string): Password of the PDF, only if it asks for one to open. The result has no password.

### `convert_pdf_to_images` (~165 tokens)

Convert PDF to Images

Renders each page of a PDF as an image at 150 DPI. The result is one ZIP archive with an image per page. Up to 100 pages. The file is uploaded to conv2pdf and the call counts as one conversion.

Input parameters:

- `format` (string): Format of the images. Default: png.
- `input_path` (string, required): Path of the file on this computer: absolute, or relative to the working directory of the server.
- `output_path` (string): Where to write the result. Optional: by default next to the input file, under a name that is not taken. An existing file is never overwritten.
- `password` (string): Password of the PDF, only if it asks for one to open. The result has no password.

### `merge_pdfs` (~126 tokens)

Merge PDFs

Combines several PDFs into one, in the order given. 2 files on the Dev plan, up to 20 on paid plans. The result is written next to the first file. The file is uploaded to conv2pdf and the call counts as one conversion.

Input parameters:

- `input_paths` (array, required): Paths of the PDFs on this computer, in the order they must appear in the result.
- `output_path` (string): Where to write the result. Optional: by default next to the input file, under a name that is not taken. An existing file is never overwritten.

### `extract_pdf_pages` (~177 tokens)

## Common questions

### What is the conv2pdf MCP server?

conv2pdf is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as com.conv2pdf/conv2pdf. Convert Office files, images, e-books and web pages to PDF; merge, split, compress or protect PDFs. This page covers its npm package (conv2pdf-mcp).

### Is the conv2pdf MCP server safe to use?

conv2pdf scores 94 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. We found no known CVEs affecting it as of 4 November 2026. It declares no install or post-install scripts. Its build provenance is signed and verified. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the conv2pdf MCP server expose?

conv2pdf exposes 15 tools: convert_to_pdf, convert_url_to_pdf, convert_heic_to_jpg, convert_pdf_to_word, convert_pdf_to_images, and 10 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 2,175 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Is the conv2pdf MCP server still maintained?

conv2pdf is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 4 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.

### What licence is the conv2pdf MCP server under?

conv2pdf declares the MIT licence, which is OSI-approved. That covers the source only, and says nothing about the cost of any service it calls.
