## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 98/100
  - No malware found by supply-chain analysis.

  - No install/post-install scripts declared.
  - 30 of 92 dependencies flagged as unhealthy.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 19/100
  - Repository check failed: the declared repository URL redirects; it must resolve directly.
  - Provenance check failed: no build-provenance attestation is published.
  - Clear OSI-approved license (MIT).
  - Actively maintained (last published 12 days ago).
  - Disclosure check failed: no security disclosure policy was found in the source repository.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 68/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Tool/resource definitions use about 363 tokens (~72/item across 5 items; 5 tools + 0 resources), lean.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 73/100
  - Stability observed for 22 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 90/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 70% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 5 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 5 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

## MCP tools (5)

### `list_models` (~55 tokens)

List Modelflare models

Lists the models this Modelflare API key can call, with the docs page that holds each media model's exact request contract. Defaults to image and video models.

Input parameters:

- `kind` (string): Only list models of this kind.

### `generate_image` (~118 tokens)

Generate or edit an image

Generates an image, or edits one with edit=true, using a Modelflare image model, and saves the result to the output directory. Billed to the Modelflare balance by actual usage.

Input parameters:

- `edit` (boolean): Use the edits route (OpenAI-compatible image models only).
- `model` (string, required): Image model ID from list_models.
- `parameters` (object): Model-specific request fields, sent unchanged. Read the model's docs page (from list_models) for the exact fields.
- `prompt` (string, required)

### `create_video` (~89 tokens)

Create a video task

Starts an asynchronous Modelflare video task and returns its task ID. Poll with get_video_status and save with download_video. Billed to the Modelflare balance by actual usage.

Input parameters:

- `model` (string, required): Video model ID from list_models.
- `request` (object, required): Request body from the model's docs page (from list_models). The model field is set from the model argument.

### `get_video_status` (~31 tokens)

Get video task status

Returns the status and progress of a Modelflare video task.

Input parameters:

- `task_id` (string, required)

### `download_video` (~70 tokens)

Download a finished video

Saves a completed Modelflare video to the output directory. Optionally waits for the task first. Result URLs expire, so download soon after completion.

Input parameters:

- `task_id` (string, required)
- `wait_seconds` (integer): Wait up to this many seconds for the task to finish (max 300).

## Common questions

### What is the Modelflare MCP server?

Modelflare is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as io.github.castaly-ai/mcp-server. Image and video generation with one Modelflare Smart API Key. This page covers its npm package (@modelflare/mcp-server).

### Is the Modelflare MCP server safe to use?

Modelflare scores 73 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. We found no known CVEs affecting it as of 5 November 2026. It declares no install or post-install scripts. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Modelflare MCP server expose?

Modelflare exposes 5 tools: list_models, generate_image, create_video, get_video_status, download_video. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 363 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Is the Modelflare MCP server still maintained?

Modelflare is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.

### What licence is the Modelflare MCP server under?

Modelflare declares the MIT licence, which is OSI-approved. That covers the source only, and says nothing about the cost of any service it calls.

### What did VerifyMCP test on the Modelflare MCP server?

VerifyMCP ran 16 checks on Modelflare, covering Malware scan, Known CVEs, Install scripts, Dependency health and 12 more. Endpoint Security and Transport & Reachability do not apply to an npm package, so they were not tested. The score does not measure everything, and the scoring documentation lists what it leaves out.
