## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Endpoint Security**: 74/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - No authorisation is required to call this server. Every tool declares its destructiveHint and none is destructive, so open access doesn't expose one.
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - HSTS check failed: the Strict-Transport-Security header is absent.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 78/100
  - 100% of prompts and resources have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the item's name).
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 713 tokens (~178/item across 4 items; 3 tools + 1 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 43/100
  - Stability observed for 13 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - We read all 3 captured tool definition(s), and no name or description among them implies an irreversible operation.
  - An AI judge read all 5 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.
  - Supports UI / widget rendering.

## MCP tools (3)

### `search_cards` (~204 tokens)

Search TCG cards

Use this when the user names a card, set, or collector number and wants to find matching printings or get card IDs for further lookup. Searches CARDZ public graded Pokémon or One Piece cards. Returns candidate printings with names, sets, languages, market ranks, PSA 10 prices, populations, market caps, and canonical card links. Multiple candidates may match; call get_card with the exact id for full metrics. An empty result means no published match.

Input parameters:

- `lang` (string): Language for display labels in the response. Does not filter by card language; use tcg to narrow by game. Printing language is always returned in the result.
- `q` (string, required): Card name or collector number. Examples: 'Charizard', '199/165', 'OP05-119', 'Van Gogh Pikachu'. At least one meaningful keyword.
- `tcg` (string): Optional: 'pokemon' or 'one-piece'. Omit to search both games.

### `get_card` (~208 tokens)

Card metrics & history

Use this when the user wants detailed metrics for a specific card: PSA 10 reference price, population, market cap, price changes, daily history, and canonical URL. Requires an exact card ID from search_cards. Prices are daily published observations in USD, not live or executable quotes. Null values mean data is unavailable for that field — do not substitute zero.

Input parameters:

- `historyDays` (integer): Days of price history to include, counting back from the most recent published point. Default 90; max 365. Omit for standard 90-day view.
- `id` (string, required): Exact CARDZ card ID returned by search_cards, e.g. cmc_fc229f7ae1b256b2119fa79b. Do not guess or construct IDs; always obtain from search_cards first.
- `lang` (string): Language for display labels in the response. Does not filter by card language; use tcg to narrow by game. Printing language is always returned in the result.

### `get_market` (~183 tokens)

TCG market rankings

Use this when the user asks about the top-ranked cards by market cap, wants to know which cards are most valuable by the CARDZ index, or requests a leaderboard for Pokémon or One Piece graded cards. Returns the published ranking with PSA 10 prices, populations, market caps, and the effective date of the data. Market cap = PSA 10 reference price × verified PSA 10 population. This index does not represent the full trading-card market.

Input parameters:

- `lang` (string): Language for display labels in the response. Does not filter by card language; use tcg to narrow by game. Printing language is always returned in the result.
- `limit` (integer): How many top-ranked cards to return. Default 10, max 20.
- `scope` (string): 'pokemon', 'one-piece', or 'all' (combined index). Default: all.

## Common questions

### What is the CARDZ MCP server?

CARDZ MCP is listed in the public MCP registry as io.github.cardzgame/cardz-mcp. Pokémon & One Piece PSA 10 data for any AI agent. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://mcp.cardz.game/mcp).

### Is the CARDZ MCP server safe to use?

CARDZ MCP scores 78 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the CARDZ MCP server expose?

CARDZ MCP exposes 3 tools: search_cards, get_card, get_market. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 595 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the CARDZ MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to CARDZ MCP without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the CARDZ MCP server still maintained?

CARDZ MCP is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 5 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
