## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically against the live server, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-04.

- **Endpoint Security**: 57/100
  - The endpoint's TLS certificate is valid, in date, and uses a strong key.
  - Authorisation check failed: no authorisation is required to call this server, and it exposes a tool marked destructive (remove_interest).
  - HTTPS is enforced; there's no plaintext access path.
  - HSTS check failed: the Strict-Transport-Security header is absent.
  - DNSSEC check failed: this domain isn't protected by DNSSEC.
- **Transport & Reachability**: 100/100
  - Verified streamable-http transport via a live MCP handshake.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 49/100
  - 0% of prompts and resources have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the item's name).
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Tool/resource definitions use about 1833 tokens (~101/item across 18 items; 16 tools + 2 resources), lean.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 7/100
  - Stability observed for 2 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 100/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - All 1 tool(s) whose name or description implies an irreversible operation declare an MCP destructiveHint annotation.
  - An AI judge read all 18 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a current MCP spec version (2026-07-28).
  - Supports UI / widget rendering.

## MCP tools (16)

### `add_interest` (~140 tokens)

Save an interest for the user in plain words, e.g. "trail running shoes under 80 euro" or "Lego Technic at least 30% off": Lowbird then alerts them and fills their deals feed. Use it when the user wants to hear about deals on a kind of product ("avvisami quando…", "cerco…"). Requires signing in.

Input parameters:

- `text` (string, required): The interest in plain words, with the product words in the marketplace language (amazon.it: Italian, translate if needed), e.g. "cuffie Sony sotto 200 euro" or "scarpe trail running under 90 euro".

### `feed_choice` (~65 tokens)

Record the user's choice on a card of their deals feed (follow or skip): Lowbird learns their taste. Used by the Lowbird view.

Input parameters:

- `action` (string, required): `follow` or `pass`.
- `product_id` (string, required): Lowbird product id of the card.

## Common questions

### What is the Lowbird MCP server?

Lowbird is an MCP server listed in the public MCP registry as app.lowbird/lowbird. Amazon price history, real price drops, price alerts and a deals feed from your interests. This page covers its hosted endpoint (https://mcp.lowbird.app/public).

### Is the Lowbird MCP server safe to use?

Lowbird scores 61 out of 100 on VerifyMCP. That is a record of what we were able to check automatically, not an endorsement. The category breakdown on this page shows every signal behind the number, including the ones we could not confirm.

### What tools does the Lowbird MCP server expose?

Lowbird exposes 16 tools: add_interest, feed_choice, get_product, list_interests, list_watches, and 11 more. Their descriptions and schemas cost roughly 1,519 tokens of context every time the server is loaded.

### Does the Lowbird MCP server require authentication?

No. We connected to Lowbird without credentials and it answered, so anything it exposes is reachable by anyone who knows the address.

### Is the Lowbird MCP server still maintained?

Lowbird is still listed as active in the MCP registry. We last reached this channel on 4 November 2026. Those dates come from our own scans of the registry and the channel itself, not from anything the publisher announced.
