## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-08-03.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 87/100
  - No malware found by supply-chain analysis.
  - Only part of the dependency tree could be resolved (96 of 100), so this covers what we could see, not the whole tree.
  - No install/post-install scripts declared.
  - Only part of the dependency tree could be resolved (96 of 100), so this covers what we could see, not the whole tree.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 45/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Provenance check failed: no build-provenance attestation is published.
  - Clear OSI-approved license (MIT).
  - Actively maintained (last published 13 days ago).
  - Disclosure check failed: no security disclosure policy was found in the source repository.
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 74/100
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (excellent).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 572 tokens (~143/item across 4 items; 4 tools + 0 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 27/100
  - Stability observed for 8 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

## MCP tools (4)

### `drop` (~242 tokens)

Drop files to any device

Send local files through JustDrop: creates a live, end-to-end encrypted, ephemeral room and returns a room code, link, and QR code. Use this whenever the user wants to send, share, drop, beam, airdrop, move, or transfer a file or folder to their phone, tablet, laptop, another device, or another person. Your reply MUST include, verbatim: the room code, the link, and the clickable QR-code URL — the user clicks or scans these from your reply; never omit or summarize them. The transfer starts automatically once the recipient opens the link in any browser; nothing is stored after delivery. Pass room_code to send into an existing room instead of creating one. Directories are expanded (dotfiles, credentials, and node_modules are always skipped). Use the status tool to check delivery progress.

Input parameters:

- `expiry_minutes` (integer): Room lifetime in minutes (default 60). The room self-destructs after this.
- `paths` (array, required): Absolute or relative paths of files/directories to send
- `room_code` (string): Join this existing room and send into it, instead of creating a new room

### `receive` (~217 tokens)

Receive files from any device

Receive files into a local directory through JustDrop (live, end-to-end encrypted, ephemeral). Use this whenever the user wants to get, grab, pull, fetch, import, or receive a file, photo, screenshot, or document from their phone, tablet, or another device or person onto this machine. PREFERRED FLOW: the other person creates a room at justdrop.ai and tells the user the room code; call this tool with that room_code and everything they send is decrypted and saved automatically. Without room_code this tool creates the room instead — note the justdrop.ai website can currently only SEND from rooms it created, so use this mode only when the other side is another JustDrop MCP/CLI client. Use the status tool to see saved file paths.

Input parameters:

- `expiry_minutes` (integer): Room lifetime in minutes when creating a room (default 60)
- `room_code` (string): Join this existing room instead of creating a new one
- `save_dir` (string, required): Directory to save received files into (created if missing)

### `status` (~63 tokens)

Check a transfer

Shows the live status of a JustDrop transfer started with drop or receive: peer presence, per-file progress, saved paths, and errors. Call with no room_code to list all transfers in this session.

Input parameters:

- `room_code` (string): Room code returned by drop/receive

### `cancel` (~50 tokens)

Cancel a transfer

Cancels a JustDrop transfer. Rooms created by this session are destroyed (files and metadata deleted); rooms that were joined are only left.

Input parameters:

- `room_code` (string, required): Room code returned by drop/receive
