## Trust breakdown

How this component scores in each security and reliability category. Every signal is checked automatically from public evidence about the published package, including repeated runs of it in an isolated sandbox, and we only credit what we can confirm. Scores are 0–100 per category. Scoring method: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring (what has changed: https://verifymcp.io/docs/scoring/changelog)

Scored 2026-11-05.

- **Supply Chain Security**: 81/100
  - No malware found by supply-chain analysis.
  - CVE check failed: a known high-severity CVE affects zod 3.25.76, a direct dependency. A fixed version is available.
  - No install/post-install scripts declared.
  - 30 of 93 dependencies flagged as unhealthy.
- **Provenance & Transparency**: 100/100
  - Source repository is publicly reachable at the declared URL.
  - Cryptographically verified build provenance (signed, bound to amado2k5/cookwala).
  - Clear OSI-approved license (Apache-2.0).
  - Actively maintained (last published 27 days ago).
  - Publishes a security disclosure policy (SECURITY.md).
- **Schema Quality & AI Usability**: 72/100
  - 100% of prompts and resources have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the item's name).
  - AI-judged instruction clarity (good).
  - Context-footprint check failed: tool/resource definitions use about 5415 tokens (~208/item across 26 items; 24 tools + 2 resources), over budget; trim descriptions and params.
  - Usage-examples check failed: none of the tools include examples.
- **Stability & Change Management**: 70/100
  - Stability observed for 21 of 30 days with no destabilising changes; credit accrues until the full window elapses.
- **Tool Coverage**: 100/100
  - 100% of tools have a non-trivial description (not blank, and not just the tool's name).
  - 100% of tool parameters carry a description.
  - Structured output schemas are declared (100% of tools); any adoption earns full credit.
- **Tool Safety**: 75/100
  - No prompt-injection markers were found in the server instructions, tool names or descriptions we captured.
  - 0 of 1 tool(s) whose name or description implies an irreversible operation declare an MCP destructiveHint annotation; "shopping_list" implies "merge" and declares readOnlyHint instead, contradicting what its own name says it does.
  - An AI judge read all 26 captured unit(s) of tool text and found none that tries to manipulate the model reading it.
- **Capabilities**: 100/100
  - Implements a supported MCP spec version (2025-11-25); the latest is 2026-07-28.

## MCP tools (24)

### `search_recipes` (~359 tokens)

Search recipes

Search the Cookwala catalog by words in titles, tags, cuisine or collection. Filters are ANDed, including no_allergens and diabetic_friendly (inferred, not medical advice). Returns summaries with hashes; use get_recipe for the document.

Input parameters:

- `allergen_free` (array): Exclude recipes declaring any of these allergens, for example milk
- `collection` (string): Collection id, see list_collections
- `course` (string): Course, for example main, dessert, breakfast
- `cuisine` (array): ISO country codes, for example EG
- `diabetic_friendly` (boolean): Only recipes that look diabetic-friendly: a reviewed claim, or per serving sugar 5 g or less and carbohydrate 30 g or less (modelled estimate, not medical advice).
- `lang` (string): Language code, for example en or ar
- `level` (string): Verification level: V0 described only, not machine-verified; V1 machine-checkable steps with end conditions and hazards, reviewed (structure, not a cooking or nutrition guarantee); V2 V1 plus conform…
- `limit` (integer): Most results to return (1 to 50)
- `no_allergens` (boolean): Only recipes with no major allergen in the declared list or the ingredient names. Not a guarantee: allergen data is incomplete for some recipes.
